  1. File Name: F-14D VF-213 "Lions Head" Artwork File Submitter: Flanker562 File Submitted: 1 Apr 2007 File Category: F-14 Something I've always liked and once seen, for some reason fell in love with that scheme, so here it is... Also includes a Readme and custom textured drop tanks, instructions in the readme. Click here to download this file
  2. Honestlyl I'm not real sure myself, as most of the reference photos are just that, reference photos. I couldn't tell you when this aircraft scheme was in service, but points to a D model, so more than likely when the squadron upgraded to the D model. I may do a post end of tour one (2005-2006 timeframe) as I got some real good pics from a RIO's site of that squadron so it would be a nice adjunct to the VF-31 CAG I'm working on now.
  3. Kewl, great pics, but that Pheonix award is what I need the most, as eveything else is cake though.....
  4. He's about to get an honorable mention for the Superbugs, but his -27 is pretty cool too, I just don't fly it because I've flown quite alot of Russan A/C....
  5. Cool, if you could PM me them or post them here, I would appreciate it
  6. Started back on the CAG bird. Victory103 if you got some good pics of the tail (enough to get the bird emblem, see below off of):
  7. Well the Pave Penny itself is not a designator, it's a seeker, i.e. it's passive, doesn't emit laser energy for the bombs to use. If you use the A-10 Modern you can use LGBs. As far as the pod.. you can use the AN/A-173 or something like that, it's just the same. I mainly looked for it for the Tomcat, since end of use always used that in lieu of the older ones. I'd like to help right now but my mind is fried from trying to do other coding stuff, but one thing, you don't have to specify it on the Loadout.ini, it's just pylon counter, and it works for me, but try this code: [WeaponData1719] TypeName=USN SniperXR FullName=Sniper XR Targeting Pod ModelName=SNIPER_POD Mass=75.000000 Diameter=0.150000 Length=2.390000 AttachmentType=USN NationName=USN StartYear=2003 EndYear=2020 Availability=2 BaseQuantity=25 Exported=FALSE ExportStartYear=0 ExportEndYear=0 ExportAvailability=0 WeaponDataType=4 StoreType=3 CameraFOV=2.500000 CameraPosition=0.000000,0.000000,0.000000 CameraYaw=0.000000 CameraPitch=0.000000 CameraRoll=0.000000 SightTexture= EODisplayFlags=268501249 SeekerRange=30.000000 SeekerGimbleLimit=120.000000 SeekerNodeName= [WeaponData1718] TypeName=USN LIGHTNING POD FullName=Lightning Targeting Pod ModelName=LIGHTNINGUSN Mass=75.000000 Diameter=0.359000 Length=2.235000 AttachmentType=USN NationName=USN StartYear=1995 EndYear=2020 Availability=2 BaseQuantity=25 Exported=TRUE ExportStartYear=1995 ExportEndYear=2020 ExportAvailability=2 WeaponDataType=4 StoreType=3 CameraFOV=2.500000 CameraPosition=0.000000,0.000000,0.000000 CameraYaw=0.000000 CameraPitch=0.000000 CameraRoll=0.000000 SightTexture= EODisplayFlags=268501250 SeekerRange=30.000000 SeekerGimbleLimit=120.000000 SeekerNodeName=
  8. http://www.aerospaceweb.org/aircraft/cockpits/f18ef/ Super Hornet http://www.gregloskorn.com/airplanesfldr/f...sfldr/77lg.html Hornet
  9. Well open the appropriate aircraft's [aircraftname]_Data.ini file and then add "NUC" to the Centerline pylon. Hopefully you'll be able to use it. It goes on this line for the pylon: AllowedWeaponClass=IRM,FT
  10. They went from Phantoms to Hornets. Reason being while the Tomcat is maneuverable, I'd highly doubt it could do more than the Phantom, but that's my speculation. Yeah I just need to get back into the system of 3D modelling. I figure I can do bits and pieces to help with the other stuff.
  11. A little too hard to not post , but then again will look waaay better when marcfighter is done
  12. lol I can test it when it's working Or I can scan the net for reference pics, if needed.
  13. http://home.att.net/~jbaugher4/newa6_4.html http://www.dragon-models.com/html/4595poster.htm http://www.ussamerica.org/Airwing.htm This should help.
  14. Still have the "hump" on the fuselage to finish up, and should be done tomorrow..
  15. That's true, the rendering could use a big tweak, but I don't want to end up with a messed up model with a jacked up texture. I've got the map done, but for the life of me, my mind is rusted out my knowledge of UVW mapping. It could be because it's MAX9 but I'm sure some of the basics still apply, and finding a decent tut is next to useless. As for the tomkitty, damn straight, the superbug just doesn't have the legs, and watching nasagekei's video, nor the speed. But hey, it can carry alot of ordnance
  16. Okay, now I need some basic help. I've started to get around to texturing the launch pylong... but hell if I remember how in Max.... So those MAX people can you help me with a tutorial on basic texturing? I've actually got it started, but I need more than just a basic texture, UVW mapping, adjusting etc, or point me to a tutorial that caters to the ones just learning..
  17. Well apparently a lot of the legacy coding in Flanker 2.51 was around, since supposedly the Su-33M was being modelled in Flanker 2.51, hence the weapons capability. Since the Russians are having major issues with their finances, the project was dropped, or ED finally figured out the coding issue and removed it. But yeah let's get back on topic too, even I'm slightly guilty on this one..
  18. Is it me or am I doing something wrong in regards to LGBs and such, since looking at the avionics file it looks like the designator is internal right? I just did a test flight, and well didn't see anything remotely like a designator, or capability when carrying a couple GBU-16s.. And I have to say though even on the Range it's nice flying it
  19. So far I've seen two on the fuselage, and six on the wings, plus two Sidewinders. Whether that's just an operational due to mission or standardized configuration not sure, but this one shows a projected one, while the other one from Airliners.net shows another one.
