Well, if people who were previously allowed five downloads per day per free account didn't abuse that by creating multiple profiles to circumvent that then we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. I mean they could have just respected it and you'd have your free downloads and so on. So don't blame Erik for changing it up, blame your peers for them screwing that up for you.

As long as the stick works I wouldn't. Unless you need a backup when the current stick craps out. That's what I do. I have another HOTAS One when my current stick inevitably dies.

As for your current stick, I know dual of those are great for Star Citizen but I prefer to fly like a plane, it's what I'm more comfortable with, and so on. But you can always map buttons that don't require agileness, like landing gear and whatnot, but then again I have my landing gear mapped to my coolie hat for SF2.

I use a TM Hotas One, it's what I like to use with SF2, certainly has enough buttons for it

Nice! you can setup a specific key or key combo (I use ALT + F9 myself) instead of Alt + Z, but depending on what you're doing you may want to cut off the microphone so it's just the game, but that is just an option though, so just something to be aware of.

They're pretty smooth actually, so there shouldn't be any issues on your end either, other than normal lag issues and the like. I've recorded online and "offline" too, and no discernable problems. And if you do have problems, it's not the recording software, unless it crashes on it's own.

If you have NVIDIA software, you should look into the GeForce Experience. My laptop has an AMD card, while the NVIDIA software is installed (why I don't know), but it allows me to record videos. You can also Windows + G to record, but it's not that stable and sometimes won't record that long, so try the NVIDIA. Then there's OBS Studio, as well as others, I'm sure. Then for making videos, I use Movie Maker - Video Editor PRO for making the final video. It's about fifteen bucks on the Microsoft Store (there's a free version too if I remember correctly), s well as other software online.
