Westland Wessex HU 5 / HC 2 This is an update to my previous upload of Westland Wessex HU 5 skins, I have tweaked the files that I previously uploaded, and have included skins for RAF , Royal Navy, and Oman, the original skins are ok should you wish to still use them, however, I would recommend you delete them and use these ones instead, the changes are minor, however there ARE some corrections. As stated in my previous upload, these skins require you to aquire the A-Team original, as you need the lods from there, if you need assistance on installing these skins please contact me via PM. Included skins are as follows 845 NAS based on HMS Bulwark in 1966, 847 NAS involved in the Falklands campaign, and 771 NAS Culdrose Air Sea Rescue. The RAF Skins consist of 78 SQN in early grey/green markings, also a grey/green later marked version from 18 SQN, a 72 SQN skin in winter grey/white, and a late version green/green from 60 SQN, the final RAF skin is for 22 SQN Air Sea Rescue. Finally I have included an Omani Army scheme. I have included all hangar and loading screens, for all 3 versions, also the pilots and the sound file that I use . The RAF and Omani aircraft are not operable from carriers, and all armament capability has been removed from them, as they never were armed to the best of my knowledge, the navy ones of course are, and are carrier operational. I believe everything is included, but of course errors and omissions do occur, so any issues or questions please feel free to message me and ask. One final comment, the serials and codes, are not 100% accurate for the aircraft portrayed, but they are in the right sort of range, so really not a huge issue, as they look right, even if maybe they are out of sequence or wrong for THAT particular airframe. I hope you enjoy these aircraft, as I said in my previous upload, the model is far from perfect, its acceptable, but nowhere near spot on, but, until one of our model making gurus makes a new one, we are stuck with this old lady. Finally, as always, ENJOY !!!
  2. View File SF2 Westland Wessex HU 5 (DAT) Westland Wessex Hu 5 Royal Navy skin A re work of the skin for the Wessex HU5 , the aircraft is originally from the A-Team site, so you will ( if you want to fly this aircraft ) have to obtain the files and lods from there, This is a complete re do of the whole thing, as I was never happy with the colour, so I have corrected that, I have re drawn all the panels relatively accurately, I haven't bothered with rivet detail as to be honest it doesn't actually show up too well, I have corrected and updated ALL the stencilling, as the original effort was a dogs breakfast to be honest. I have also re done the decals and markings. So what is included.........2 skins, one for aircraft from 848 NAS who were the squadron in action during the Falklands operation, and one skin for 845 NAS flying off HMS Bulwark in 1966 during the Brunei and Indonesia debacle. I have included the decals for both Squadrons, and also the pilots that I personally use, although green helmets were more the flavour of the day during the Falklands, so feel free to swap out the pilots if that is your taste. A quick note about the shortfalls of these skins, the aircraft I believe was originally done for SF 1 so it is a little aged, therefore there are some clipping issues you may encounter, I am unable to do anything about this, in reality, we could do with a completely new model of this important aircraft, and hopefully one day it will happen !! So pretty much I have made a silk purse from a sows ear here, the aircraft itself. looks a little "off" I am sure there are some dimension errors, it doesn#'t seem tall enough, and it looks a little bit odd from the front view.....but I could of course be wrong, and the thing is perfect, but I doubt it. The stuff we all are getting used to like working lights and hatches......yeah ok.......not happening on this model, and I forgot to make lights work at least....oh well, such is life !! Hopefully I shall do some skins for RAF HC3's next so watch this space for those. As always, ENJOY !! Submitter trotski00 Submitted 03/08/2020 Category Other

Ah , they are used to my grumbling about Craparse on here, and as I am never really, how shall we say, explicit ....yes explicit works, well because I conform mostly to those strictures , they ignore me.......So I doubt I will get into hot water, I am sure Kev ( Wrench) would have words in the old shell like if I stepped too far off the path of righteousness.
  5. Vulcan B2

Ah you would deny me my bile and angst ? trust me, I'm Italian so having lifelong vendettas is a "thing" but in reality, dont tell anyone I said this, but you are probably right, I should let it go , I just cant lol..........I am actually more annoyed and saddened by the fact that this rift is present within the SF community, but unfortunately , no one will back down and be grown up enough to bury the hatchet .
  6. Vulcan B2

Oh Craphead is more than an arsehole, he is the original hoofwanking jizzflute...........the guy needs a personality transplant, beside which although there ARE some useful models on his site, most of his shit is for SF 1 and is a friggin' mess. you may gather I dislike the guy a little.
  7. This Is Why You Research Things

WSO's......RIO's.......who needs 'em ? ........But yeah, I see all sorts of Military inaccuracies in film, tv , and games, however as an ex serviceman, I can see why, as the reality of service life, in whatever scenario, would be deadly boring to watch, a bit like watching lawn bowls , golf, or cricket, brilliant to play , but dire to watch. Hence the poetic licences taken .
  8. Thanks mate, doing the obvious thing with the weapons editor worked brilliantly, think I had been staring at it for too long, and that method eluded me !!
  9. Can anyone point me in the correct direction on how exactly to get the darn HOT 2 missiles to show up on the BO-105, it should be a matter of just unpacking the file and dropping it into the system as per normal, but the damn things wont show up on the Helo at all, not even as empty tubes.....help !! Oh and if anyone can tell me how to make the damn rotors on the Bell 47D Sioux as well that would be most helpful, the damn stupid thing buries itself in the tarmac and doesnt sit flat and stationary, I know choppers are not really well set up in this sim but still, the cobras etc all work just fine.......been trying to get the Sioux up and running all day with no luck, and now the issue with the BO-125 iss just the cherry on top.
  10. hmmm ok.....I have never had to use weps editor before, I'll give it a go in the morning, meanwhile if you have any ideas on the Sioux I will be interested to hear, cheers mate
  11. You mean weapondata.ini in the flight folder ? or the ini in the actual weapon file ?
  12. The weapon stations have a specific stationcode which is reflected in the HOT data.ini I have enclosed both below......As for the Sioux, I'll give your suggestion a whirl, staill cant get the rotors, specifically the tail rotor to do the turny dance, I can fool the main rotor into spinning like a dervish, but the tail refuses to work.......which is a shame as it would be nice to have a working Sioux in game, those of us who have access to it that is. Bo-105_PAH-1A1_DATA.INI HOT2_data.INI
  13. MMMMM HAS !!!.....ah the memories
  14. FT-2 pack

Plus with the Windows 10 update in a couple of months, maybe, just maybe, TK will be a bit more helpful with coding etc......Well , even a fools hope is a hope right ?
  15. FT-2 pack

Lol......unfortunately I dont have the ability.....ie I cant afford MAX !! .......so boring old skinning fer moi !!
  16. FT-2 pack

It would be a nice addition to the stable if it can be done. I believe it was only used by China and not exported , but I may be wrong.
  17. FT-2 pack

Has anyone done the JJ5 ? the chinese only mod where they grafted a JJ2 cockpit onto the basic J5 airframe ?
  18. So I assume that when it is released we shall receive an email , informing us of its availability ( yes, I bit the bullet, swallowed my pride, and purchased the complete version )
  19. Donated to which appeal, am I missing something here ?
  20. Therin lies the core of my argument/concern, and I reiterate, why would anyone want to pay full price for a sim they already own, and in 99% of cases works just fine thank you very much ..........I'l shut up now as I am just repeating my self.
  21. Ah yes, now if was a totally revamped done over improved MkIII version of the game I think no one would have an issue, however, I have a sneaking suspicion that this will just be a tweaked version of what we already have, I cant see TK being arsed to do anything exceptional, because if he was interested in doing so, he would already have done as such. I would love to see my cynical outlook disproved, if that were indeed the case, then take my damn money !! also if it was done so it merged the First Eagles AND the SF engines into one, that would be outstanding also , by that I mean update the FE engine as well to make it fully compatible with the SF one, not to release it all as one amalgamated package, at the end of the day, TK has to make his money back. So, please prove me wrong, I shall be the first in line to chuck my money at the sim, especially if a MKIII FE is involved as well . Until that time, I shall remain skeptical and cynical.
  22. And effectively this sim is now being sold as complete for the third time......I already bought it twice.....once as SF gold, then as SF2 .........I will not get this free as the only thing I bought digitally were the DLC's , and as I no longer have the disk and I have re installed the whole thing from a backup copy I had on my external drive, I am not going to get this for nowt, I object to paying for effectively the same game 3 times, especially when the game hasn't actually given me any issues thus far on Win 10......if however it was a paid upgrade in the form of a DLC, I would "get " that concept, as to be honest, I dont think that there will be any major changes or adjustments to what will essentially be the same sim as it stands in its present iteration, yeah, ok, it may make it more forward compatible, but will it be forward compatible, and more featured than an update ? to price this as a fully priced release is out of order, dont care if TK is a one man band, or if he is the Berlin Philarmonic, maybe if the bugger had fully supported the damn thing from the get go, and co operated with the modding community a bit more, this "new" version would not be needed in the first place.....I stand by my cash grab statement.
  23. I'm sorry, but this should be an automatic update for SF 2 , not a "new" package a cash grab in my eyes........especially as a lot of folk have no issues running SF 2 in Win 10 already.
  24. Tie fighter is still up there, I war too.......but there are so many new ones, they all start to look the same, I cannot bring myself to buy Elite, so I have to say Evochron may need a litttle checking out as it does look pretty cool, still wish they did a half decent Babylon 5 that would be superb.
