Pretty bird, shame about the political considerations on the plumage though.
-
The only complaint I can level at this model is it doesnt turn well, I realise its an interceptor, and not a dogfighter per se, but still it does seem to have rather a large turn radius, and when you get into a knife fight it is difficult to get a on the tail of your opponent , you are forced to depart and stand off quite a way to enable a clean shot, maybe a little tweak to make the bird a little more squrirrelly is an idea ?

Oh no mate, the A-10 is so ugly its beautiful, it looks right, but compare to the Frog foot, it looks more refined.....If you get my drift
-
I wasn't even going to mention the Boeing horror story, the F-35 is a super model centre fold in comparison, I would love to know what illegal substances the design team were ingesting when the drew up that pile of shite !! You have to give it to the Russkis, they certainly know how to make war fighting equipment look....well.......fighty and "I'm gonna eat yer face Capitalist dog" Our Western stuff looks sort of pretty, and refined , except for the afore mentioned f-35 and the Boeing spawn of beelzebub which are just dire.

New NVIDIA driver problems
Trotski replied to bubu's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Its if you have the effects set to unlimited for some reason, I have my settings all at unlimited except for that one option , and that works just fine for me, to be honest the difference between unlimited, and high settings is negligible. -
Neither the 22 or the 23 is as pig ugly as the F-35, hate the damn thing. But, oh those Russians !! They can make a pretty aeroplane for sure, Sukhoi in particular . The Flanker was sexy as hell, but this is just as gorgeous .

Is anyone still interested in the Spanish Civil War?
Trotski replied to Stephen1918's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
Yup, for sure, such a diversity of aircraft during the conflict, so yes yes yes. -
Weathering with Paint.net
Trotski replied to Coupi's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I must have a play with Gimp to create a skin, so used to photoshop it has become a bit of a habit, so maybe it is time to broaden my horizons some !!! -
Weathering with Paint.net
Trotski replied to Coupi's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Hmmmm.....Paint.net is very good for basic stuff, never done any weathering with it, not sure it would really be adequate, or up to the task .I use Paintshop myself, however if you dont have access to that program have you considered using Gimp ? its free, and from what I understand , you can get some pretty decent results from it. Again, I only use Gimp for making decals, as Paintshop is my weapon of choice. its another option at least if not a perfect one. Sorry I said here I use Paintshop. but I meant Photoshop.......doh !! -
I say, RAF now lets in beards!
Trotski replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
When I was in the RAF it was quite common to see blokes with beards , I even had one at one point, true it was only permitted for medical reasons at the time, but it was quite common, particularly in the Regiment. I dont really see an issue with it to be honest, as long as they are "regulation" as per the Navy, the only time it could be an issue is in an NBC scenario, when beards and respirators dont work well together , at the end of the day , wearing a full set isn't detrimental to the Service, they can look smart, as long as they are kept trimmed and short. ................... -

Mission completed. Return to base question.
Trotski replied to WallysWorld's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
What Cliff said, but usually I find the nearest target and dump my load on them, usually airfields If there are any in the vicinity, would be my target of choice. -

I'd like to request some skins
Trotski replied to rogueranger1993's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I have also got a fair few Dhimari and Parani aircraft in the download section that may be of interest to you, I could most likely do some skins like these you are asking for, but I am up to my eyeballs doing others that are more likely to be useful to the community as a whole......Dunno if Spinners may be interested in doing something along these lines for you ? -
IA-63 Pampa FM
Trotski replied to Trotski's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Oh....And I hear you on the too stupid to be anything than stubborn....must be a trait common amongst this community I reckon !! most of us have OCD, and are a little bit insane ........ -
Can any of you practitioners of the Black Majiks and Voodoo heresies advise me on a difficulty I am experiencing. I am at the moment messing around, and clearing/re organising my library of models for SF2 , and I have the IA-63 Pampa , and the AT-63 Pampa II . Now as some of you may be aware, these are aircraft only done for SF 1 , so, like a fool, I am trying to get the bloody things to behave in SF2 ...........Pretty much everything works, except for the very odd behavior of the aircraft, to be more precise, if for example you set the darn thing to take off on auto pilot, it dutifully trundles off, to do the take off thing, but then if thinks its an awfully great idea to bugger off in a left hand turn, and jolly well take off where IT wants to damn well take off, SO THERE !! not only that, but your esteemed and probably drunken wing men, also take this mode of taking off as well, with the additional mode of, well, not actually bothering to take off at all, probably because the cat has died or Tescos are out of custard powder or something, who knows !! Anyhow, to get back on track, and cease my infernal rambling, can anyone shed light on this phenomena , and point me at a solution , because I cant seem to find one, I have looked at the knowledge base and saw nothing that remotely addresses this issue, also I'm Infantry, therefore a little brain dead , shell shocked, and like my wing men , most likely drunk , to whit, I aint got a clue when it comes to FM's etc, I only do the colouring in stuff, I can even stay between the lines these days !! So help me please, so I can sleep , and not dream of this damn aeroplane wandering off across the damn countryside like a water buffalo looking for a mud hole !! Cheers chaps !!

IA-63 Pampa FM
Trotski replied to Trotski's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Yeah mate, I was coming to the same conclusion, it looks like a pregnant guppy with the gunpod attached, considering its supposed to be an attack trainer, it turns like a 3 wheeled bus, and I did think the proportions looked somewhat awry , dont bust yer arse on it mate, think it may be a lost cause Thanks for looking though, I just dont like seeing things not working, a shame really. -
IA-63 Pampa FM
Trotski replied to Trotski's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Yes Kev, both in the SF 1 addon on aircraft section I think both of them have the same Data.ini though , I will check what you mentioned as well........its very odd for sure. AT-63 Pampa II.7z IA-63a-Pampa.zip -
Why does daily download limitation exist?
Trotski replied to osmanfirat's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
What WK said !! the team struggles to make ends meet as it is, so I think the daily download limit is very generous all things considered, I know it can be frustrating, but lets be honest, a subscription to this site is very fair and not expensive, so I would recommend you take out a subscription, and help support the site, as it is a very good one with a superb community, and lots of talent , so donate mate !! -
Oh for christs sake, this shit happens nearly every day, the pilot/aircrew of the Bear were bantering , trust the press to sensationalize the whole fucking thing, "potentially destabilise" the situation ? They and we have been potentially destabalising the situation since 1946 by doing flybys every day, it was just another day in the office for the aircrews on both sides, and the Russians were displaying the usual sense of humour practiced by Aircrews globally. The press just want to make a mountain out of a molehill, and in fact they are more likely to destabilise the situation, by knee jerk, piss poor , purile , reporting.....and as for this jerk offs screen, with all the press tabs....I mean, really ?........Oh and Happy Traitors day to all my American friends on here, have a great day chaps and chapess'es

What Should Be In A Strike Fighters 3?
Trotski replied to JosefK's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Oh you are being serious ? I thought it was just a fun question. Well in that case forget it mate, it's never going to happen, its already been stated that TK or whoever has no interest in continuing the SF/FE line, mores the pity , granted, but the cold truth no less. -
What Should Be In A Strike Fighters 3?
Trotski replied to JosefK's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Kblomlvist, I think the post was posted for fun rather than actual going to happen, its in the pipeline, under development kinda thing, at the end of the day there are more modern and advanced flight sims out there if one feels the need to get a better or more modern approach to this, however there are a lot of folk who would love to see further development of this series of sims, after all there are still folks who fly EAW !!!
