A-4 Gun Barrel Model Node Name/ Parent Component Name?
dtmdragon replied to dtmdragon's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
That worked a treat removing the gun barrels from the stock A-4G/E but it didn't work on the 'A-4H Ahit 73' any idea what the node names are for that one? (Need it for an ATSI A-4N Aggressor) -

SF2 Screenshot Thread
dtmdragon replied to Stary's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
There in the SF1 section somewhere but I am in the process of updating them for the SF2 model Skyhawk as it has slightly different texture mapping than the SF1 version. I already have done a A-4F Super Fox for SF2 with a few aggressor skins: http://combatace.com/files/file/11597-top-gun-a-4f-super-fox-for-strike-fighters-2-updated-270111/ I plan to add these skins and have an alternate version for those with the DLC A-4G as it is the right 3D model, how ever the stock A-4E 3D model with the angled refuelling probe I have already used is 99.9% accurate. -

I've been busy updated all the A-4 Aggressor SF1 skins I can find for my SF2 A-4F Super Fox/ Mongoose. I've also switched the 3D model from the A-4E to the DLC A-4G which is externally 100% accurate as the G model was the F model without the avionics hump, which is exactly what the A-4F Super Fox /Mongoose is (plus the more powerful engine and stripped out avionics etc). I love how nimble and quick this stripped out and over powered little A-4 can be -it must have been a true 'sports car of the sky' to fly in real life. Here is a link to a bit of a description on flying and fighting with it at Top Gun: http://a4skyhawk.org...se-superfox.htm The last image is the stock Ausie Navy camo with the blue colour levels enhanced. -
AI wingmen useless for ground attack?
dtmdragon replied to CWMV's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Try cycling through the visual ground targets in the 'padlock view' (F4 key), that way you will look at each target you select -so when you’re looking at the target you want your wing man to attack use the 'attack my target' command -

CF-18
dtmdragon replied to Romflyer's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
You might want to consider creating some year specific aircraft to include the modernisation programs the CF-188 went through in recent years. Personally I have split it into three separate aircraft: ‘AircraftFullName=CF-18 Hornet’ -which is the initial aircraft and covers the period from delivery up till 2006. ‘AircraftFullName=CF-18 Hornet IMP Phase I (03)’ -Which replaces the AN/APG-65 radar with the AN/APG-73 radar (you can use the avionics from the 'C' model Hornet for this), ability to use JDAMs and AMRAAMs. This covers the period from 2003 to 2007 ‘AircraftFullName=CF-18 Hornet IMP Phase II (07)’ – Integration of the Joint Hemet Mounted Cuing System, ability to carry the Sniper XR targeting pod and an upgrade of the aircrafts ECM jammers. This aircraft covers the period from 2007 till 2017+. There are overlaps in the operational dates due to the time each upgrade program took to do the entire fleet of hornets. If you interested in including these later upgraded versions let me know and I’ll email a copy of mine to you. The mod I used as the base for all these versions is the CF-18 that came with the SF2 NATO fighters mod. CF-18 Hornet IMP Phase II (07) Over Lybia in 2011:
