  1. Could someone please do me and the other kiwis out there a huge favour and overhaul/update this New Zealand terrain for SF2? I tried using the instructions here at combat ace but there are still various issues that require expert help. http://combatace.com/files/file/11884-new-zealand/ Cheers, Dan.

  5. File Name: BOL countermeasures fix for the F-15C, EF-2000, JAS-39C, Tornado F3, NF4 Tornado F3, F-14A/B, F-14D, F/A-18 File Submitter: dtmdragon File Submitted: 03 April 2011 File Updated: 03 April 2011 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Aircraft This pack corrects the countermeasures on the following aircraft to include the Saab BOL Advanced Countermeasure Dispenser: *F-15C http://combatace.com...ck-version-231/ *EF-2000 Eurofighter http://combatace.com...urofighter-sf2/ *JAS-39C Gripen http://combatace.com...for-sf2-series/ *Tornado F3 http://combatace.com...ado-f3-for-sf2/ *Tornado F3 (NATO Fighters 4) http://combatace.com...-update-pack-4/ *F-14A & B http://combatace.com...d-f-14b-tomcat/ *F-14D http://combatace.com...297-sf2e-f-14d/ *RAAF F/A-18 http://combatace.com...ike-fighters-2/ The BOL countermeasure dispenser is a 160 shot dispenser that has been integrated into a AIM-9/ AMRAAM launching rail (LAU-7, LAU-127/128/129,CRL,MPRL). The BOL is a non pyrotechnic dispenser that uses air scoops on the dispenser and the wing vortex of the aircraft to disperse its packets of Chaff. The countermeasure is launched rearward from a port in the rear end of the rail. For IR threats a new burning chaff product is being developed. For the above aircraft the BOL launchers are normally loaded with 160 chaff each which frees up the aircrafts existing pyrotechnic launcher/s for a full load of flares. That is what this mod recreates. The weapon station that carries the BOL launcher on the above aircraft has been made to stay even when the station is not loaded otherwise you would have chaff launching from mid air when you had no weapon loaded on that rail to make the node show up. -USAF and ANG F-15C fighters had the four wing sidewinder/AMRAAM rails replaced with BOL versions around 2000. -USN F-14A/B/D Tomcats had the BOL launchers fitted in the early 90’s in place of their two sidewinder rails. -Australian F/A-18 Hornets had BOL dispensers added to the sides of the outer wing pylons, I have been able to paint these onto the skin. -Unsure when the Tornado F3 was equipped with the BOL but they are on the two inside AIM-9 rail positions. I am unable to make the dispensing position move with the swinging wings so the chaff is launched from the position the rear of the sidewinder rails are in when the wing is in the fully swept position. -I have been able to paint on the details of the BOL launchers on the Gripen rails as the way the skin was done allowed for it. The Gripen rails still disappear when not loaded as there is no dedicated position for short range missile rails like the other aircraft and the BOL launcher is only used when an air-to-air missile is loaded on that station. http://www.saabgroup...sure_Dispenser/ http://www.saabgroup...uct%20sheet.pdf Credit goes to the Authors of the original aircraft as all I have done is made a few alterations. Instillation: Simply copy and paste the included data.ini files into the correct aircraft folder and overwrite. Click here to download this file

  9. File Name: Series 1 Kuwaiti A-4KU Skyhawk Updated for Strike Fighters 2 File Submitter: dtmdragon File Submitted: 23 December 2010 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Aircraft Kuwaiti A-4KU for Strike Fighters 2 This is the A-4KU flown by the Kuwait Air force during and leading up to the Gulf War I. It is from the Operation Desert Storm SF1 campaign set and I updated it for SF2 as well as changing some of the data.ini information to more accurately reflect the aircraft. NOTE: The original A-4KU uses Strikefighter 1 series LODS so you will have to have WoV to use this aircraft. (I ignorantly didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to include the series 1 LODS in the upload so that’s why I have now removed them) Included is an extensive RWR.LST file and RWR.TGA files, a ‘Free Kuwait’ skin and pre invasion skin. INSTILATION: 1,Drop files in to appropriate folders, override when asked to. 2,Extract the original lod files from WoV ObjectData.cat using the CAT extractor. Following lods: A-4F.LOD, A-4F_lod002.LOD, A-4F_lod003.LOD, A-4F_lod004.LOD, AV-8A_LOD4.LOD & A-4F_lod005.LOD once extracted should go to the A-4KU_Kuwait folder. NOTE: Has only been tested/used in a merged install of ALL SF2 titles Credit goes to JSF_Aggie for the Operation Desert Storm SF1 campaign the original A-4KU came from. For the cockpit I used the F-15E cockpit with the HUD and radar display from the Gripen with the figures changed to reflect the RBE2 Radar. These are all just interim measures till someone comes up with an accurate FM, cockpit and avionics. Looking forward to seeing what Profi comes up with. Dan
  11. Defiantly! It's been on my to do list but just haven’t had the time. FM, weapons and engine details in the A-4KU_data.ini file represent the more powerful engine and larger weapons capability/weights of the M/KU model Skyhawk so you might want to do a complete aircraft and transfer all that data across to the data.ini file of the A-4F_74 that goes with the lod files etc Cheers, Dan

  13. What co-ordinates do you use for the position of the new pilot? I can’t seem to get it to sit right. Thanks, Dan
  14. File Name: Modern RAF Smart Bombs File Submitter: dtmdragon File Submitted: 08 March 2011 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Weapons Modern RAF Smart Bombs. Includes: -Enhanced Paveway II -Enhanced Paveway III -Paveway IV In order to simulate the fact that these weapons can be either GPS or laser guided depending on what the aircrew decide before dropping them I have included two of each type. One is GPS guided and the other is laser guided. On my RAF aircraft (GR4, GR7, GR9 and Typhoon) that use these bombs I have used the loadout.ini file to load a mix of GPS and laser guided versions of the same bomb to imitate that flexability in the air. Credit goes to 331KillerBee for his Ordnance Shop II where these weapons have been modified from. Drop the files into your weapons folder to install, easy as that. Click here to download this file
  15. Christchurch Earthquake

Thanks for your messages of support this is something you always see on the news and think 'this will never happen to us.' I am I career firemen here in NZ and our Urban search and rescue teams (USAR) are part of the Fire Service and made up of 90% specially trained career firefighters. We quite often give our crew mates who are on the USAR teams a bit of s**t about it since they are constantly on call and carrying pages around that never go off and are all geared up to deploy anywhere in the world but never get sent. If only we knew.......
  16. Update for SF2 JAS39C Gripen

    Version

This is an update for the JAS39C for SF2 available here at CombatACE. You will need both the ‘JAS-39C Gripen For SF2 series’ http://combatace.com...for-sf2-series/ and the “Reworked and fixed JAS-39C Gripen skins For SF2 Series.” http://combatace.com...for-sf2-series/ Simple put my updated files in the appropriate place and let them override. This update includes: -Corrected Flare/Chaff dispenser locations and quantities. -Flare and Chaff dispensers added to the skins of all Gripen operators. -Updated threat library for the RWR -Weapon pylons updated to reflect ability to carry latest weapons as well as the GBU-16 on outboard stations and Taurus KEPD-350 Stand off Missile on the inboard stations. -Modification to RBS 15 missile to make it effective as an anti-ship weapon. -Taurus KEPD-350 Stand Off Missile included. (3d model is not entirely accurate but all data.ini performance figures are.) Thanks to everyone who has worked on the previous Gripens. Cheers, Dan
  17. MAJOR UPDATE: 14/02/11 Thanks to alejandro all 3d models are now correct. Squared off tail fin, braking parachute, varies aerials and antenna unique to the New Zealand A-4K Skyhawks have now been added. Due to the way they have been created with the fake pilot method an overhaul was required. I have also re done the markings on all skins, things such as walkway lines, stencils, warning markings etc are now historically accurate. A few other minor faults have also been corrected. When you re install this mod you will need to delete all previous RNZAF A-4 aircraft folders (A-4_70, A-4_72, A-4G_RNZAF, A-4_Kahu and A-4_Kahu_II) and override all files when you install it
  18. Hi guys, I need some help on the mesh names of two aerials on the A-4F. I can't seem to upload any pics for some reason so here’s a link to the third wire support forum where I've posted the same question with a picture. Thanks, Dan. http://bbs.thirdwire...php?f=14&t=8246
  19. Clarify it's the node/mesh name I'm after so I can make the right edits in the data.ini to get it to disappear for a mod I'm working on.
