Kobe Bryant dies with four others in helicopter crash in Calabasas
Skyviper replied to KJakker's topic in The Pub
So what goes into switching from VFR to SVFR and IFR? What's the hassle with IFR? From my understanding if your eyes can't see then rely on your instruments and avionics to see the things you can't. -

Looking at this ... is the graph indicating the pilot was trying to pull up prior to the crash? -

Other information I'm coming across is saying they think it's the weather that played a role in the crash. -
Side-by-side comparison: Zero Hour! (1957) Vs Airplane! (1980)
Skyviper replied to KJakker's topic in The Pub
@jeanba I agree. I think they did good making a serious movie funny and then modernized it for the 80s. It also causes a lot of the Airplane to make more sense to me as well. -
Well, it was fun while it lasted...

My condolences man. That's horrible. Like the others said I hope you have some kind of information that can be used to reclaim your property should it turn up at a Pawn Shop. I can imagine what kind of hell that would be trying to recover your property from one. -
Nothing like the weather alert dude telling me about Turkey's future weapons.

This is when CombatACE starts to shine during moments like these. We have the press running passing incomplete reports, people Tweeting a fraction of those reports. CombatACE has some very knowledgeable veterans that's been there and done that, they can talk the talk because they've walked the walk. I can't wait to see these folks start weighing in on this subject.

This image was posted on Reddit Someone else linked another report which is the reference for the above report. In case you're into reading such reports: http://www.climateinstitute.org.au/verve/_resources/fullreportbushfire.pdf I didn't read it all. However it's a report published in September 2007 that, as you see in the image above, observed patterns and projected the situation they're dealing with now to happen between 2020-2050.

China Hands Over Its First Aircraft Carrier to the Navy
Skyviper replied to GKABS's topic in Military and General Aviation
Call me an idiot .. because I am. Anyway here's my question. If the STOBAR system means your aircraft will have limited range and lighter payloads, why use it? I understand that cost wise STOBAR systems are cheaper. Better to save money when and where you can. On the other hand tho why not use the CATOBAR system? Yeah it's more costly but don't the advantages out weigh the cost in the end? Or do their engines not have the power to generate what's needed to run the CATOBAR system? What gets me is that I remember hearing reports on the news about China becoming the tech capital of the world ... so one would think they'd be using the new electromagnetic systems. -
Saw this on Imgur and I have no idea as to what is going on other than there was double engine flame out. https://imgur.com/gallery/1O1NFLG

Hey Guys, I was watching TV and got annoyed at all of these medication commercials and class action announcements that were suing them. So I wrote a parody medication commercial. The medication is called Fxidan and it's the medication people have been waiting for. Because I'm just silly, I have the medication being sued as they're trying to pitch their product. I think things turned out great and, if you a have few minutes, I think you might enjoy this "short movie" as well. I look forward to knowing your thoughts. On a side note this is the first time I edited two people interacting with each other and believe it or not my love for audio editing started right here at CombatACE with some projects we worked on in the past.

Spruce goose released for il2 46!
Skyviper replied to dsawan's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: Mods & Skinning Chat
I wonder how that would've impacted the war had that made into production in time. -
So I heard that Russia's only aircraft carrier is caught on fire today... So is this something you put out, patch up and move on with, or just say screw it, and build a new one?

" Scenic Flybys " 🇬🇧 RAF & USAF 🇺🇸 Low Level Flying Mach Loop Wales
Skyviper replied to russouk2004's topic in The Pub
That's a good video. I was surprised with how maneuverable the C-130 and Osprey are. I mean I see C-130s fly overhead everyday and for some reason I just had it stuck in my head that it's a big slow gentle giant (until you put a 105mm Howitzer in it's port side then it becomes deadly giant.) -
I'm just here hoping they won't fuck this up. Don't get me wrong you know I want to see this movie. I'm just not wanting to get overly hyped up is all.

Russian Carrier was on Fire ... any news about that?

Exactly my thoughts. I'm wondering if they were setting it up for a movie or something? I mean last season why not go with a movie ... or maybe they set it up for a book ... or not. I do love the series.

Waited for a long time to see how things would wrap up with Man in the High Castle series. I feel a little bit let down with how things ended. Why did they waste so much time in Season 3 with useless story arcs and relationships? See this is why I hate agenda pushing. You push an agenda and kill the story. So much for 4 could've went into 3 and then we could have had more .... closure. All in all it was a good ride 1-4 (part 9). I haven't felt this disappointed in an ending since Mass Effect 3. They need to do a short 3 episodes to really wrap things up if you ask me.

Dang man. Well that explains ... a lot really. If it's not combat messing you up, it's the government, then you come home to civilians hyped up on network news bullshit. Perfect.
