  1. .... I could call it a bug, because I don't see the reason why "Missile inbound" and "It's firing" direct to you are red, but "You got a bandit at your six o'clock" instead should be different. .... If I were the director of Third Wire, I would do a patch to correct this.
  2. .... Uhm ..... however, it seems to me that the AI is not so good at missiles avoidance ........ 2/3, 3/4 of the times I got them ......... but yes, usually when they are pretty close. Pity that SF2 in recent scenarios doesn't seem to be completely in step with the times, IMO, perhaps ................ something like the Missiles Approach System, probably present on most of the modern airplanes, there's no. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missile_Approach_Warning BTW : Do you know if there is a limit at the bullet speed that the LCOSS (Lead Computing Optical Sight System) in SF2 can accept ? (Because I tried to create a gun faster, arond 1500 m/s, but I'm not sure about the LCOSS setting).
  3. Yes, I agree with you about the missiles effectiveness, Snailman. With realistic settings, I usually avoid at least 90% of missiles. One thing I have noticed is that the AI seems to me to deploy countermeasures well the first time you shoot a missile to them, but the second time often do nothing.
  4. Thx for the reply. Because of what you said, I did further testing ............................ but for now, apart a strong headache, I only established that the LCOSS can't aim with 3000 m/s bullets ! .... I'll do more tests .... another day ...... ( ... Also the targets was strongly uncooperative, ...... LOL ).
  5. Excuse me, Tzareff, Snailman, but what is the value of countermesure resistance ? The value in "Cm Rejection", is it right ? BTW : I have fun only if I perform a gun kill !
  6. Dassault Mirage IIIV

.... But ... what sort of roman number is "IIIV" ?
  7. No bad, nice !! Under Jolly Roger !
  8. Su-37 Terminator

It work well even in SF2 ; it should also be present in SF2 Russian fighters !
  9. I really don't think so ........ !!! IMNHO ( InMyNeverHumbleOpinion ), be seven consecutive times world champion of martial arts, the only not-oriental man to achieve 8th Dan of Tae Kwon Do, a real Hollywood Stuntman, .... and a lot more .............. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Norris ), is superior to what Patton, Olds, Boyd, etc. .... have achieved. Don' forget the legendary "40 seconds" Colonel John Boyd ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Boyd_%28military_strategist%29 ).
  10. LOL ! This guy was surely "someone" .................. but I don't think could match C. Norris ! ( ..... But do you know who is Mr. Norris ?? ... ).
  11. A-DARTER IR missile

.... Yeah, ... be behind it, avoidance maneuvers, and launch of flares, work with the normal IRM. Perhaps, not sure with this. However it seems that exist some kinds of devices able of detecting the launch of IRMs, ... ( the Typhoon have a sort of similar device ... ), ... but probably several are still classified ( I bet the F-22 have it ! ) ( IMO ).
  12. A-DARTER IR missile

.... I really would like that somebody invent a launch detector and completely effective countermeasures to this nasty treacherous, coward, IR missiles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Happy Christmas from Chuck Norris

.... With Chuck ............................. we can't be sure if he would be able to do it for real ................
  14. Su-47 Skin Armada Argentina

Hi ! Excuse me, but where is the complete plane to download ( I sought it. but I didn't find it ) ?
  15. Last winter I was able to to modify my 2 favorite fighter desings : the "Su-47 Berkut" and the "Mig-31 Firefox". Both have been refined in the FM, ( ... correcting the movement of the canard, perfecting the engines, changing cannon and position, developing the vectorized thrust ((this not for the "Firefox")), and a lot more ............................ ). As a result the Su-47 Berkut ( Americanized and renamed for better match my taste "F-27 SteelEagle" ) fly wonderful (surely better than the original ...), with great agility, even with a weight of 18 tons empty, practically without max angle of attack thanks to the forward wings, with supersonic cruise, and thanks to hypertrophic engines with 25 tons of thrust each (but you can still downgrade them to a realistic 16 tons ...) capable of great acceleration and mach 3.5 ! The "Mig-31 Firefox" is not at the same level of agility, but it isn't bad, supercruise speed dry at mach 1.8, and with its 50.000 lbs (23 tons) (as in the movie) of thrust each, reach the top speed above mach 5 (!!!). ( .... Incredible how fast the technology of the titanium alloys and the hypercooling systems advances, ........ at that speed there's a temperature of 1000° celsius ... (( LOL )) ). I didn't rushed to post them, simply because I can't upload them. The "Berkut" comes from "Owl Work Shop" ("https://sites.google.com/site/pjowlworkshop2009/"), I sent them an e-mail to see if they were interested in my finished version, and/or a permission to post it, but they didn't even reply ! The "Firefox" comes from "A-Team Skunkworks" ("http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/"), and they do not allow to post their designs (not wrongly) in other sites. For the Berkut I used the "Tornado F3" cockpit by Bobrock, changing the basic color from grey to black, and some gauges. The pitch indicator now is a angle of attack indicator. The internal "open cockpit" of the Firefox is a WIP (Work In Progress), I changed several gauges, especially the clock now is a AngleOfAttack/G indicator, .... but I find the design not very good ..................................... I.m not a modder ............ !!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Hahaha, ( LOL ) !!!!!!!!!!! I didn't know that the star has a meaning .................... It's the best substitute I've found to the red star.
  17. Hi, everybody ! I would really like to be able ( as in Lock On with "Easy Radar" enabled ) to see the IR missiles. Is there a way to get this ??? ......... Perhaps adding the IR missiles to the RWR object list .....
  18. Yeah !!! ........ I was not absolutely sure about this Thank You !!! I know "Winchester", "BingoFuel", "Fox one, two, three" and "Guns-guns-guns", etc. ..., because they are the normal codes used by USAF.
