Strike missions only target cargo ships?
bazillius replied to TheStig's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
The difference between the EXE files is only in the image built into it and that’s all. This is why the file size is different. -
Oh my gosh! This is depression. The heavy illness.. But curable. This symptoms will pass but you will have some heavy month. This is just symptoms, not real her feeling. but she need to be under eye by others.

Delete the string NavalMap=TRUE in the file kurilen.INI add under [AllowedMissionTypes] the mission types you want. If you want to sink miliraty ships back everything how it was. -
I used Copy\Paste software. It is cheap and fast! hahaha, sorry for this useless answer. you were probably hoping for a smarter answer. I don't know about DCS but iL-2 and SF2 is portable. any version is. There is a special program for FSX and FS2004. It's called a register fixer. And they become portable too. I don't know if this program is legal or hacker. Now I can’t check it because I don’t have these games installed.

My hard drive lasted 9 years. I don’t mean it was bought 9 years ago, but I mean it worked for 9 years. I never backed up anything. But one day I noticed that when I deleted a file, the computer froze for a few seconds. This alarmed me. because it was unusual. I checked the hard drive for bad sectors with the VictoriaHDD537 program under Windows XP. it found several bad sectors. After that, the hard drive worked for about another month and again, when copying, the computer froze for a few seconds. I checked again. But this time there were already about a hundred bad sectors. And again I worked on this hard drive for a month or more. And again the computer froze. I decided it was time to do a back-up! I took the disk out of the computer and connected it via an adapter to the USB port and started copying. I copied for several hours. And at that very minute, as the last file was copied, my old friend stopped. My friend's engine stopped forever. All files were rewritten, not a single one was lost. That was WD HDD. RIP my friend. I can't throw it away. it's still in my desk drawer. Good eternal dreams, my friend. I hope you're in hard drive heaven.

Helicopter
bazillius replied to Falcon1364's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
A helicopter can take off vertically, but landing is not. AI i mean. Almost always the helicopter either circles around the airfield or crashes. I’m too lazy to write examples now, and some hellicopters are forbiden here anyway for example Capun's, YAP's ones but if you want to experiment yourself, try here: [FlightControl] ..... [AIData] ... If you have these helicopters use them as an example, some of them takes off bery nice, if you haven't than just do intuitive trying. But I repeat that I was not able to land AI helicopter. The player himself easily lands and takes off. Useles work. Take it as it is. -

SF2 Sound Issue
bazillius replied to Falcon1364's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
slide this slider fully to the left and run the game and turn the game off then run the game again and slide it back at its place. Sometimes it happens with the game. Rare but happens. I believe it is everything is okay with your sound hard and soft ware, have you checked it out? -

Questions about DLL files editing / modding
bazillius replied to Eagle114th's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Well.... You remembered games with a long history, culture and traditions of making modifications that go back centuries. Moreover, serious parts of the game affecting the engine were immediately modified. Just don’t take my words as me dissuading you. If you make new DLLs, I will happily download them and thank you. I myself once wanted to deal with the repacker and DLL. But at that time no one was interested in this. SF2 Great game. One of my favorites. I will even ask to make the line “here lies a SF2 player, devoted and played every day” on the stone of my crypt, and future generations of archaeologists will try figure out what this inscription means. -

Ah..local meme. It's clear now. Red writing always scares me. So I started looking for this CD in fear because I thought that now without this CD my computer would explode. I ordered Wagner's lead sheet with notes, the book "Prigozhin. The Rise and Fall" and the entire collected works of Richard Wagner on an LP records. And all this just to fly with your mod. I don’t know what to do with this now. You're a joker. -
Questions about DLL files editing / modding
bazillius replied to Eagle114th's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I apologize for the skepticism, but in my opinion, it’s too late to try to pull the SF2 game out of the river of oblivion Lethe, because those who were full of enthusiasm to program something have already died of old age. I remember the times when there were programmers here who, among other things, offered reverse engineering. Now no one will seriously engage in this, because the average age of the player is 50+. It was necessary to give us as a gift the game game in 2015-2016. Then this game would be better than Falcon BMS. And now... So.. Oldmans, lets fly with what we have. PS but if you want and you feel the strength to fight against the system and Peace, order, and good government try to do. -
