German Airspeed Indicators ... missing
Polovski replied to IvanK's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Yep same reason as you, time ;) Dials do not work outside of the pilots virtual cockpit, and then that means we have to extend the cockpit to include struts and wings which you can do for near things, but that far out really odd things will happen... when you move your head, so pretty unlikely we'll add working ones anyway. -
OK great Beerthirty, not sure why it didn't add that automatically, something I have never had to do either. Good luck with it, once you get the hang of it you won't fly a sim without it afterwards.

Strangely quiet in western front
Polovski replied to Cpt.Kremmen's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Just choose another later date, or maybe another squad for the moment .. we'll look into it if it's possible/historical to add more in the area for that date - we may need other new aircraft though. -
Just a thought.. maybe a corrupt CFS3 CD?
-
Shift+D I think for the red/blue messages in top/middle of screen when in flight or turn all messages off from CFSConfig. Others are simulator warnings etc, turn off from the cfsconfig tool (click graphics settings, custom, window, overrides).
-
You need to ask naturalpoint really, but it is CFS3 support you need. If I were you I'd uninstall the software and reboot then reinstall see if that helps. Also make sure you have the right reflector type setup in the combat flight profile, and default. TrackIR support not my greatest skill but that's what I'd do.

Just try optional flight or alternative mission if shown? Sometimes if a mission type is found it tries to find from available targets maybe the odd database error in the trillion lines of data ;) (Also if you have a non English OS, can cause oddities see the FAQ)

Sounds like you are in a dull area, the squads in the area may be missing the craft they had or whatever for that period Also earlier dates will realistically be less traffic. which squad? -

Hertzie, please send an email to the support address (see FAQ on website) with your order details. Thanks -
Better Low Altitude Enemy AI?
Polovski replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Easy FM is easy for al you and AI for sure, but it is NOT tested at all so not recommended. Realistic all the way. -
Warp calculations mess up fuel. Normally it lasts a lot longer in warp, so not realistic, however if you warp miles off course or round and back around waypoints to "patrol" you may use a lot more. (or have a leak).

Was it collisions or breaking up wings?
Polovski replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Well if you have not turned off warnings and messages you would see the damage to wings, or G stress warnings (creak noises too). -
German Airspeed Indicators ... missing
Polovski replied to IvanK's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
It did in P2 Catfish not in P3. You should try it btw, revamped model, brand new cockpit... -
Was it collisions or breaking up wings?
Polovski replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Yes :) Diving as fast as a SPAD not a great idea in the Alb. -
Great stuff Fates thanks. Let's hope we don't get a kill board might be tricky to work out how you get them ;)
-
Which aircraft? Make sure you install the latest TracKIR software from their website, and update the games list too.

German Airspeed Indicators ... missing

Maybe, in an addon or P4 -
Good to hear flynnj, maybe a file was corrupt somewhere, and installing 1.28a overwrote it, either that or been lucky so far?

List of questions for OFF phase 3, would this'n that be possible ?
Polovski replied to Wels's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
No talking of possible addons for P3 - obviously depends on how things go with sales etc, and with new craft mean some gaps may get filled, or new squads made. Too many things needed so can't fill everything. If we do a P4 what's in it will be decided later. -
Opinion of OFF? -sorry, really noob question
Polovski replied to HomeBoy's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Welcome Homeboy If you read through you'll find plenty of comments about people's experience with OFF but yes you need CFS3 to play OFF BH&H. OFF is a technically a mod but more accurately it's a total transformation of CFS3 given we replace the whole campaign engine, scenery, improved AI etc. You only need CFS3 and OFF:BH&H, no previous version of OFF is needed. It's commonly known as Phase 3 (we released P1 in 2005 and P2 in 2007) but it's not dependent on them. If you have a look on our homepage and the FAQ you'll find a lot of the answers there too. http://www.overflandersfields.com http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm -
joeroma Do you mean can you make your own missions? Yes it's possible Ask in here maybe: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showforum=210 The campaign manager makes missions itself, with waypoints etc.
-
I have no idea not my area at all. Maybe better to just do your own then you can adjust it easily, and it would give the guys something to aim for.
-
I have no idea, Shred or WM would know

When did you install the TIR software? F7 is "precision" in TIR. F7 is "go to bombadier seat" So are you in a bomber that has a bomb load and an F7 view too? If not it will do nowt.

As I say it has now CHANGED. No we do not want to specify exactly what as that ruins the whole point of it. But it should be slightly easier. It's not "how do I beat the game? which is what people seem to be trying to do - it's "how would a pilot fill this in?" Don't go by the number - the number was NEVER meant to be a guide to the player. How do you know it meant what you thought it did? Simply fill in a witness from your squadron, ANY that flew with you. Leave off the rank. Type a bit about the engagement. Height, what happened to the enemy, type, colours, where, rounds fired maybe, job done that's it. There have been several examples of how to do it. It is not rocket science or difficult it's meant to be a paper claim form. The only small give to modern technology is that you must "pull down" the number of craft, and pull down the craft type that's it. If it bugs anyone simply turn it to easy, or off in workshops. The WHOLE point is it's meant to be realistic as possible - not find the magic words to beat the system ;) so stop thinking that way and you'll be fine.
