  1. Italian missions package update

Good luck with the mod, but just to clarify what StumpJ meant to HouseHobbit - it is fine to make missions that call already installed craft or objects etc in an installed OFF Phase 3 you own of course, but we do not want a pack or addon to also include our models directly in that download or pack, or even modified in there. You need to obtain those from a legally owned copy of OFF of course. Hope that makes sense.
  2. No one said it's "as good as" TrackIR but if you have no money worth a look.. TrackIR is fantastic, and worth every penny but not everyone has the money. Making a whole real world is rather a huge undertaking.. with more time and support anything is possible of course.
  3. FaceTrackNoIR is a good free alternative that uses a web cam to track your face. So if you have a webcam worth a look. It may even be worth looking for a second hand trackir 3 or 4, it really is like going from using keyboard to using joystick for a flight sim, you will never ever want to go back to anything else. Free one anyway with OFF support in: http://facetracknoir...ome/default.htm info on OFF on the download page read it carefully. http://facetracknoir...ks/download.htm
  4. SimQH BLOWS!

Bullethead, please see your question in the OFF technical thread over there. Basically Doug did reply to you within 30 minutes of your original PM! I have a copy of it - please check your PM messages there carefully (make sure you are logged in of course).
  5. SimQH BLOWS!

Here we go again... The WHY we moved was explained in several sickies etc. Back to developing..
  6. DFW KuK Hex Camo Finished

Lovely job BH. WW1 seems to be almost unique in the requirements for hours and hours spent on details - we are all nuts.
  7. Yeah you were probably not checking in at the time it happened for a that period (week or so) a while ago it was in the news area on the website at the time etc, and you'd have noticed CA was not available for a week or so at some point
  8. On our web just click on "media" for pics and movies including WOFF. Also in the news section we sometimes link to screenshots or movies that are posted elsewhere. Yeah not sure how you missed that but the official forum is as Olham shows and also has some pics including one or two from the last week or so. I have posted others here in the general forum more recently than November, but think you must have been awol at the time.
  9. There have been a lot of new pictures since November in various places. There are new pics last few days on SimQH too. Not sure were you guys have been looking but even the website has much newer pics than November. And of course <insert your favourite craft/item/feature> may not be in there, sure, we are a tiny team busting a gut round the clock trying to get OFF done, no one wants it finished and available for you guys more than us believe me.
  10. Bizarre Quirk

Horrific picture. Seems to me they should have spent all that time making it fly better instead.
  11. All the best Tranquillo for a speedy recovery.
  12. I Have Completed OFF?

Wow great job Beanie glad you enjoy it so much. Indeed you could try HITR if you don't have it, and you can also revist some of those squadrons in years and dates you missed from dying early ;)
  13. Sure is Lonely Up Here

Some comments on that in the FAQ... http://www.overfland...com/FAQ.htm#A29 Q29. I do not see many enemies. I am flying in 1915 / 1916 and not seen any enemy yet? A29. It can happen and depends on lots of things, the scope of OFF is to produce a dynamic realistic campaign but also make an interesting flight sim. However the very fact it's dynamic and can produce all sorts of missions - it is possible you may not meet an aircraft for days or weeks or fly right by them. Some squads start early 1915 and there are no enemies nearby. a). Update to the latest version to fix some issues with early enemy squads not being assigned to missions (RNAS-1 for example should have more enemies than show in 1915/1916 and this is fixed in latest version). b). Still even with the update you will find in 1915 and early 1916 it was relatively quiet. Most people would hardly engage an enemy early on. Very few squads, few flights, few attacking craft. This is realistic. c). Also possibly you are in a quiet region during a quiet period. As OFF is scalable for major ground offensive build ups or known periods of extra activity in the air (as per our features page) so if there is no major attack in your sector it will be quieter. However if there IS a major battle expect it to get more hectic! d). Moving quickly to the days where action is there may help. Depending on your mission frequency if you are on 3 missions a day, 9 flights is only a 3 days! You can set auto/manual time advance in Workshop settings, and you can also set campaign activity (mission frequency) to light which will give you around 1 mission a day and the days will seem to progress more quickly so you can progress to dates where new squads have been posted or nearer a major event. e). Try another squad and/or another date period if you want more action. Or maybe you have been lucky enough to pass flights by without seeing them, or maybe mostly they have not gone your way. If you have "target awareness" radar dial showing or labels turned on, you may see more, at the expense of immersion. Otherwise as in real life you will fly past many craft you never realise are there - enemy AI pilots also often may not realise you are there and fly past, perhaps busy on their own mission or a cloud blocked their view (possible if you have Clouds slider on setting 5 in cfs3config - accessible via Graphics Config in Workshop). f). Also even though we have lots in there, we still do not have every single aircraft/squad that ever existed active, so some areas may need an aircraft that does not exist in the sim yet - that could add to the quietness in some areas. We have made sensible substitutions in many places to help. For example substituting Eindecker EIII for EI squadrons as EI is currently not available. It's difficult job to balance this - to be historically accurate where possible and also make it play well. g. If you want some definite action join somewhere close to Flanders region in later 1917 or 1918! ;-)
  14. Award of Claims in WOFF

Lol Olham, Yes Hasse many things are different in WOFF, claims has to be different too as there is different data to process too.
  15. Award of Claims in WOFF

Haha Lou very funny. Hey how did you get access to the top secret claims team? Mind you I don't see mention of Colonel Harry "Armpit" Lossajuster who ensures no claims at all get passed (unless he is on tea break).
  16. will barker missions

The aircraft are named differently in some places. For some lost reason the DII model was called something like AlbDII-J19 or similar in ye olde P2 (I can't remember now). Look in your aircraft folder for the correct names and rename that in the mission I'd say. Sqd or QC1 craft have a cockpit, AI don't need a cockpit of course. Also "frontline error" could be anything but the front lines are likely all changed etc and the dates need setting correctly in the mission to match, see the help in the P3 QS screen is all I can offer.
  17. New web-hosting site

We have already answered this at SimHQ - Luther asked the same question. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3588533/New_web_hosting_site.html#Post3588533 No of course it doesn't mean you must "Move" we don't want people to move just support both forums. More support means more chance that we won't give up making OFF. Best place to possibly get a developer response is over where we are mostly looking and posting. Also discussed here http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3575057/SimHQ_New_Official_Forum.html#Post3575057 CA is a great forum and place to chat, that was never in doubt.
  18. Lol "Hot n spicy" is fine for me :)
  19. Lol Olham, in impossible Mission 4 she does all of those moves, but I'm hoping she surrenders and lets me guide her down to my field ;) Or I may be in need of that 5¢ advice ;)
  20. It is indeed a thing of beauty :) Oh sorry was just looking at a pic of Paula Patton, or was I talking about the AI no that can't be :D
  21. Hi guys there's a few snaps of the current updated Sopwith Tripe as posted on the SimhQ forum earlier Some show off the great scenery too, brand new virtual cockpit and a little damage.
  22. WOFF: Sopwith Triplane pics

Cheers guys. The DH5 has been updated too in WOFF recently, I think there are some pics in the recent WOFF pics on the website (ALL craft pits have been updated or totally rebuilt). Well the scenery is random location there, and the weather etc so you can't really say from the screens what the fps comparison is. Also there is no way to compare to P3 yet we haven't even got to optimising. A whole new ball game.
  23. Runtime Error Mismatch

Look in the sticky post above yours. Anyway for that old version we cannot offer support, it was not designed to run on Vista but in the very forum at CA you posted this in too, there is a sticky post read through that Gary. Follow this, http://combatace.com/topic/37679-how-to-setup-off-phase-2-only/ Read through that carefully. If you mean you just copied OFF to another drive/folder and it doesn't run - it won't work like that anyway. It would need properly un-installing then re-installing. ye Olde Phase 2 probably more so. _________________________ Regards, Polovski, OBD Software, proud developers of the fabulously immersive WW1 FLIGHT SIM Over Flanders Field : Between Heaven and Hell http://www.overflandersfields.com (see for OFF FAQ!)
  24. OT: RIP :(

Very sad indeed - one tiny positive note I guess is if you have to go then best go doing something you love.
  25. Not sure OlPaint it is still selling some because of people wanting to play mods or OFF whatever. The CD versions at least seem to be around - I guess if it is still selling they won't release but you never know. We designed a lot of WOFF carefully so we have avenues for the the future.
