Hi akulawien, 1. not via normal methods no, currently BH&H you would have to edit pilot files - someone who has done it will have to help if you go that route as (and obviously we won't "support it" if it goes wrong). You would othewise have to create a new pilot in the new squadron and date. OFF2 maybe different.. 2. Yes there was a tutorial for this somewhere. Also if you click the Help in the pilot dossier screen I believe it mentions doing this too - I cannot check as I have OFF2 dev setup. "Golden Eagle" here he has done both ... http://combatace.com/topic/69231-campaign-treating-a-fighter-squadron-as-a-bomber-one/page__p__545573__hl__editing+pilot+dossier__fromsearch__1#entry545573 maybe he can help ?

Some interpretations say the "prediction" is of great change, not necessarily bad or "end of the world" but end of an era. Let's hope OFF is ready before and can be the start of a new era ;) -

Lol well thanks guys we know you are keen and we are working flat out to get it to you. It's possible we'll be starving before we release it though ;) -
Hi W1ndy the in depth features of HITR are here; It adds more than just new aircraft and squads: http://www.overflandersfields.com/Addon1.htm scroll down a bit below the New Aircraft section for features. Also the updates to HITR added more See here each release patch info is presented the http://www.overflandersfields.com/Downloads**tR.htm [edit]Wow just realised the anti swearing code on the forum edits the URL to remove the "hi" - well go to the website anyway and find it on the downloads page ... Also note Wings Over Flanders Fields also will have substantial improvements in the campaign. We will reveal more when ready.

Correct Skin or Correct Label?
Polovski replied to Shiloh's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
The defaults are used from each aircraft's folder for example Alb DIII (1 craft type) has several models, each with a default_t.dds and an already assigned ..._t.dds In that example here is one of the Ace craft's texture folder for Alb_DIII ; C:\OBDSoftware\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields\Aircraft\Alb_DIII_AC5\textures skins in use last are here, plus default_t which is used if the squadron skin not available. Can't really go into more detail, you'd probably need a re-install to get all skins back and in correct default places if they are wrong. -
Correct :) as Douglas Adams said, "Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so." I think dev time is exponentially so.

Welcome akulawien, Hellshade has made some super vids which we thank him for and glad it tweaked your interest. @Hellshade no problem as soon as we are able to get a coherent package we are happy for you to fly we'll let you lose on it for vids :) Taking a lot longer than we planned to get there, but getting closer each day.

Correct Skin or Correct Label?
Polovski replied to Shiloh's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
It could happen sometimes see above comments. Also check the default_t.dds in EACH aircraft folder of a type. There are several models for Aces called ...._ACx, and Squads - SQx. Check the defaults in each - they are normally factory defaults for those times when we have no skin. But maybe some have been replaced. Also as above, if way too many craft of a type are in the air and lots of squadrons it can possibly happen. -

Polovski replied to simmelman's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hi simmelman, OK thanks for coming back. I had to approve your post as they are the first ones you made. It sounded like you were posting "a fact" rather than asking "does it work Ok with windows 7?" A first post would usually be "hey I'm thinking of getting this, but I heared xyz is it so? Don't forget we see what support emails we get and note what is happening and from the mails that come in, and the vast majority are not Windows 7 issues. Any we have had specifically with Windows 7 we have got running almost every one in the last few years. Mostly with what is written in the FAQ - which obviously has come from experience. PC's have a billion available combinations of components, settings, drivers, software running, and users, let alone broken files, registry settings and errors, hard drive errors etc. Almost impossible to 100% guarantee a huge undertaking will work flawlessly for every one - but we try. The large proportion of users running Windows 7 with OFF are running fine. Like any software ever made for PC, someone somewhere will have a problem. Any issues we are aware of are in the FAQ. Also sometimes people forget to update the software to the latest verison etc. Anyway OFF works with Windows 7 -it is a fact. The dev team develop with Windows 7. BTW here is an example http://combatace.com/topic/71993-windows-7-offman-fatal-error/ sounds like a Windows 7 OFF issue eh? Well it's not. Read and see. Unfortunately users of forums have the habit of firing the first thing that seems to fit the issue, the facts are often far from it. -

Use Eset NOD anti-virus myself and it's worked flawlessly for years. Hopefully Bifdefender will update the issue. -

Polovski replied to simmelman's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
OFF works fine with Windows 7 - we are the developers and most of the Dev team run Windows 7 64 bit too, as do most users. CFS3 itself is older but still works. There is no "maybe". Yes you have to change a couple of settings as you do with many programs but if you personally have an issue with it running check the FAQ carefully - it's not tricky. Contact support if you cannot. Very odd first ever post in a forum, off topic completely too in a thread of new screenshots. -

Windows 7 OFFMan fatal error
Polovski replied to bdoubled's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
If you have an version numbers or AV software that specifically stops OFF from launching let us know the details and we can add it to the FAQ. We have had a couple of false detections over the years (not bad I guess) but helps others to see the program names and versions etc and the solution. Cheers -
OBD Software posted new development screenshots showing some of the new damage and other pics in the forthcoming new major release of Over Flanders Fields. See http://combatace.com/topic/71986-off2-development-screenshots/

new Nvidia BETA Drivers 301.24

Yeah seems fine to me, they usually are of course :). Some AA settings interfere with video recording so nice to have options anyway. -

These sound great Hellshade, hope they don't break OFF though but off to try. -
That first run can take some time initially, are you sure it hung? Anyway run graphics config from workshop, which runs cfsconfig, and try lower slider settings initially for scenery and terrain and exit the program properly (file, exit) also set your screen res properly, and AA settings See FAQ best to go through that first. 1.1 configuring OFF section.. http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#Installation_and_settings

Just to let you know there is no virus or trojan in OFF sceptre, so if your AV reports it as such it's either a false detection or a virus etc added from another program already running on your PC. The only false detection clashes we are aware of were free MS Antivirus and AVG with HITR add on (I believe they both updated since and corrected that). Maybe unplug from the internet disable your AV install and confirm OFF is working. Then enable your AV, if it barfs then please contact the vendor of the AV and tell them which file it doesn't like - you may need to submit the file to get it accepted by them whatever. From the FAQ: "OTHER KNOWN HITR ISSUES PLEASE don't forget to make a good backup of the OverFlandersFields_HitR.zip file somewhere safe for future use (on external USB or on a backup DVD) in case you need to reinstall HITR after rebuilding your PC for example. Due to the time involved we cannot re issue downloads if you did not purchase download insurance when you purchased, and your initial link has since expired. Microsoft Security Essentials: Unzipping / unpacking the Hat in The Ring download sometimes hangs when nearly complete. Known issue with Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE). This is a free Anti-Virus / securtity program from Microsoft. Unfortunately on some Windows 7 installs (possiby other versions of Windows too) it causes the unzipping of the Hat In The Ring download to fail or seems to hang. Simply disable MSE temporarily and unzip and install Hat In The Ring, then reenable security afterwards. To disable MSE: open up 'Microsoft Security Essential's 'Settings', then from the list of options in Settings on the left highlight 'Real-time protection' and delete the tick from the "Turn on real-time protection" box and finished by selecting save. Obviously after installing HITR re-enable this and save. (thanks to Mick for that). Note these have not been verified by OBD Software, but reported as fixing the issue by our users. Also see this forum post for similar discussion http://combatace.com/topic/50879-major-install-issues-hitr/ Also note a couple of anti-virus programs incorrectly detect OFF Manager as a virus. AVG have since updated their AV signatures to stop this false postive, and Avira also may need to be fully updated to stop this."

OFF, BHH pilots hrs not recording
Polovski replied to sceptre's topic in WOFF UE/PE - Knowledge Base
Hi Sceptre, Knowledge Base section is unfortunately the wrong place to ask questions, and is against its rules http://combatace.com/topic/69376-using-this-sub-forum-rules/ It's meant to store knowledge rather than ask support questions. There is a help section which more people read more often, or even better these days is the general section where people read all the time. Anyway Well you say you use esc but that error is classic with not exiting the mission properly so some suggestions.. When you press Esc, make sure you then click "End mission" and allow the program to exit properly. If you use Warp a lot, then your hours may not be accurate. You don't say what version you are running but make sure if you have BH&H that is fully patched up with both patches (check workshop settings the version number is shown, check it before update, and check it after to make sure it has changed). If you have HITR expansion, make sure that BH&H is fully updated BEFORE installing HITR and its patch. DO not use a no-cd.exe as this can be unpredictable and some are not even 3.1. Remove any 3rd party modifications if any. Try creating a new pilot in a new squadron and check that works oK.
