Hi there OFF enthusiasts, finally I'm back
Polovski replied to Britisheh's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Well there were some 13 days ago and the Eindecker 11 days ago in the sticky thread? We'll post more when we can, we very busy making things and our small team is much smaller than small teams out there ;) .. last page of that thread : http://combatace.com/topic/64931-phase-4-development-screenshots-merged/page__st__40 -
Fokker DVII - starboard aileron sitting up?
Polovski replied to 33LIMA's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I don't know of any issue with the ailerons Lima, they are fine here, but 1) you are fully patched up? 2) Also make sure your aircraft detail slider is set to 5. 3) Did you add any mods? We won't be releasing our 3D sources at the moment - hard work to make each one many 100's of hours each. BTW just copying another model won't usually work and you would also have to edit the texture names in the model. -
OK got your email Richard and replied, and the link was sent on 23 Nov 2011 16:30 but I have just resent it, plus added it to an email reply from support. When you have it BEFORE YOU INSTALL make sure BH&H is fully updated first. See the patching and install routine that is clearly detailed here in the FAQ - http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#Installation_and_settings

That is correct, but I did not write it in the forum post like that as SPAM programs scan forums for email addresses.. so now they will pick that up. CF3SF I will have to remove it in the posts here above, but don;t worry I have just seen your email arrive anyway so will look into it now and get a link sent to you. BTW the ; is never used in any email address not sure where that is from? update; OK got your email Richard and replied, and the link was sent on 23 Nov 2011 16:30 but I have just resent it, plus added it to an email reply. When you have it, BEFORE you install HITR, make sure BH&H is fully updated first. See the patching and install routine that is clearly detailed here in the FAQ - http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#Installation_and_settings

CW3SF As I stated already above - You do NOT NEED a licence email. There is none. Please Ignore that - that automatic email from Avangate is incorrect. Anyway you ONLY need the special download LINK as I already stated. Click on it. If there is no link in the email then of of course we will make sure you get your product for your $9.99 Please send your order # and details, together with both your emails to our support email address. support < at > overflandersfields.com (replace < at > with the usual @)

To sell it's in the same place, just scroll down to your stuff in the menu, click on a section then hover over an item and press E (you can sell by accident if you click so best way ;)) Lydia is a bit of a trap moron though calmly frying her way through flames and traps and limping through them.
-
CW3SF, You get a download link in one of those emails. There is no DVD. Did you check them carefully? Also check in your SPAM or JUNK type folder in your email program maybe it's there if you do nt have it? There is no license email, ignore that comment, it's the same with BH&H you get a similar email but ignore that comment. All you need is the special download link to download it. Then as the guys say, make a backup copy safe and OFFLINE as we cannot reissue them.

Just so you know to watch out, your companions can die. I bought this as soon as available and after working on OFF a great way to get some escapism. A fair few years ago I used to do ye olde AD&D and this is the closest any modern game has come to the detail and tension you can feel in the AD&D dungeons - love the traps in the dungeons and the fear at last! The first companion to die "Faendal" I met in Riverwood early on. I was shocked as he survived dragons and others but died in a fight with 2 mammoths and 2 giants (I lost sight of him think the mammoth fell on him ;)). Not great to leave all your loot in the middle of nowhere either. Then a bit later, Lydia who seems to recover quite easily normally, died in a nasty place with some fierce vampires won't say where but luckily the game crashed shortly after so I had to reload with her alive. Funniest moment, in a dungeon I was sneaking through very carefully looking for traps etc, managed to avoid a very nasty spike one, and feeling smug went on. Then a little further on I had to chase someone and ran through new areas rapidly. Right into some undead who charged me and chased. As this was early on I was too weak to fight and panicked - running backwards at high speed away. Anyway to cut a long story short in my panic I passed through the spike trap backwards, which went off. However I sat there blinking when I realised what had happened. I was running the "wrong way" for the trap, and it went off as I got out of the way by pure luck. I blinked as I realised there were suddenly no horde of undead after me... I found them behind me splatted all over the place across the room now really un-un-dead. L u c k y ;) For the record it runs around 55-60 fps on my system with gfx set to highest no fps issues. One of the games of the decade I'd say. BTW game saves/settings are defaulted to "C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\My Games" for Win7.

For anyone who still hasn't bought or may be holding off buying the current version of OFF due to Phase 4 coming later, we have decided to lower the overall cost of owning the current releases by $10 each. If you know someone who was thinking of buying maybe now is the time to push them -thanks ! Hope that helps some still debating if to buy or not. Also this saves us work having to organise discounts for those buying closer to Phase 4 release and gives everyone the chance to buy. Over Flanders Fields website

Hi Dan, Check out the FAQ for install and first configuring of OFF, sounds like you need to run the graphics Config from Workshop menu. Check http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#Installation_and_settings to make sure you installed the right patches and then See under section there; 1.1b) CONFIGURING OFF: It could be the graphic settings sliders have not been configured or are too high. Try that if you still have problems contact support with your order number.

Non critical warnings during the start up ---?
Polovski replied to CW3SF's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
If the manager tries to use a skin that does not yet exist for a squad or Ace, then it throws up a non-critical warning (i.e. just a note) If you chose not to install the optional extra skins at install you will get more messages of course. Also some skins are still not available for some craft/squads/aces etc even if you install the skins. Anyway go to Workshop, and disable manager warnings there. -
Rainbox 6 lives again - in 2013
Polovski replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Agree with that Hellshade, bunkers was a great one on one map too. Multiplayer was superb (teamspeak etc was just starting to be more popular then so squad multiplayer was very exciting and tense). I remember sometimes being the last alive v 5 skilled enemies and your teammates held their breath for 5 minutes as it was 1 bullet dead was rather tense :) Yes I think I may dig out my old Ghost Recon and add some mods for old time sake. The first one had some great open large maps so again tense team games on there. Need something to do after the OFFing :) -
Rainbox 6 lives again - in 2013
Polovski replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I'm a big fan of the original Ghost Recon (before it went console style, didn't like GRAW sytle) and Rainbow 6 series. Hopefully this will live up to those in gameplay and grit. 1 shot meant 99% of the time you were down, it really was a lean/peak very quickly with the minimal of body revealed and pop back in cover then move or you died ;). -
Sighting your guns in the Aviatik 2-seater...
Polovski replied to Hauksbee's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
There are Aviatik's with 2 guns mounted as we have them (in Windsock for example) so we went with that. But yes technically you'd have to crouch to aim higher. -
You can add controllers from within the sim, Press pause in flight, and press Esc key, go to Controls. Look at the last section of this in the FAQ it should give you the idea - it talks of other controllers etc but gives the general idea how to choose what you want. As long as it shows up in windows as a controller etc should be fine. http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#A8

'RAM performance boost for 32-bit games'
Polovski replied to 33LIMA's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
It may help in some cases for CFS3 - especially under stress settings, long missions, very high sliders etc. It may help with any crashes you may have which are due to memory running out. CFS3 will be able to use more memory if it finds - once that 4GB patch is applied to the exe. Important note: 64 bit and 32 bit OS's access memory differently. 64 Bit OS you will be fine and once patched there is nothing more to do. However on 32 bit OS's you have to enable the OS to use more memory too. Windows 7 and XP 32 bit OS's have different settings to enable. PLUS you will need to have at least 4GB of physical ram to benefit. On XP make sure you are Service Pack 2 or above. (SP1 will not like the /3G switch needed) That link above http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112556 also has OS instructions. See under "Instructions for allowing applications to use more RAM in 32-bit operating systems (> 2 GiB RAM required):" and click "Spoiler" etc. However make a good backup of your CFS3.exe or any other you try in case you break it. -
There's a troubleshooting section in our FAQ read through could be even overheating or memory issue) other titles may run fine, but OFF can push CPU and GPU). http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm See Q.25 for example.

OFFice: OFF incomplete campaign editor
Polovski replied to Lothar of the Hill People's topic in WOFF UE/PE - File Announcements
Sounds interesting Lother I'll add the link above for you. -
Just a point, never try to install patches for Phase 3 (Between Heaven and Hell) on an older version - if it installs at all it will definitely break! It may also leave you with problems removing etc. Older Phases 1 & 2 are totally different code.
