The Quick scenarios are just that, Quick and already setup gets you in the air with active targets near you often with many more aircraft than QC allows. Not everyone has the same likes and dislikes. They are reasonably easy to modify too for modders that was the idea, people could modify them. I'll add something to the FAQ to mention the aircraft available is reflected by the nationality of your pilot. I am sure there used to be something there somewhere -[edit done]

Seems pretty clear to me the only option that mentions claims and it makes them easier. Most things have a reasonable answer - and often a good reason why they are so it's best to ask first - the guys here are as you can see very helpful.

Lol calm down Lewie. On the normal difficulty the roster is DELIBERATELY hidden. Make a note of your wingman at least you should know who you trust your life to at least ;) Or if you would like less sim and more auto /computerised fun, simply use one of the options in workshops for claims, that is what they are for.

Make sure you head is tracked properly *outside* of the sim first. Use the Naturalpoint TrackIR 5.1 program check how the dots move (and if they are mostly centered properly too) and how your head does. The easiest way to increase or decrease sensitivity I found is to move the "Speed" slider (under "Motion Control") up or down half a notch at a time and test. The other thing is make sure the trackir receiver is far enough away from you and if TrackIR5 move a few inches to the LEFT of your monitor if you use TrackClipPro. I'm no expert on it hopefully someone else can help more.

So hard to do decent realistic scenery these days. Getting tone and colours realistic is tricky .... Not for Winding Man :) Here's a preview of the P4 Scenery (a couple of the pics we'll put on the website soon) - we believe this is some of the finest scenery in sims available. need lots of trees? No problem. Oh note the brand new DH2 model. ...

Superb and HUGE book I bought it new a while back - very detailed. $39 is a bargain.

Welcome. Given most are biplanes and somewhat early experimental aircraft yes your view IS restricted often. We give you what you got as close as possible :) All the suggestions above will help. Try a DH2 for pusher design wings behind you. You can also simply zoom out a notch very easily (default keys are [ ]).

We haven't changed the rendering engine Si, the day was overcast so no shadows particularly.

Alsace indeed Lewie. Really beautiful now even the burnt out shell WM :) went for a pleasant fly sight seeing (following the train you see in the distance for a while) so something must be good.

It's great to see mods but just to add a little bit of caution, with all this stuff a LOT of testing in all sorts of scenarios is required before you can say X is better than Y in the sim. There are a trillion variables. Just to clarify the distance the AI engage isn't altered by bullet "spread" in any way.

Yeah true I guess there is no real threat from behind so all their concentration is not colliding - mind you I think Cecil Lewis said similar, at least in the initial merge you are just avoiding friends and enemies firstly, getting a shot off then climbing away or whatever.

Try the disk in another PC Lewie? If your laptop DVD drive is playing up take it to another PC and copy the files off into a USB drive or onto another DVD? No apart from craft most of OFF is not transferable manually into CFS3, you are missing out on the main part of OFF which is the OFF Manager, AI, missions, effects (FMs too will not work correctly and many other things). Best not to comment on how it flies until you have OFF running properly (with OFF AI etc).

Just for your info Lewie make sure you updated BH&H to the latest version. We found a way to reduce the standard CFS3 cloud turbulence for OFF this is included in the later updates.

I think Lewie they were very pre occupied making sure they didn't get killed whilst trying to follow the scripted route - in fact I am sure if we were in a dogfight being shot at we'd be lacking in the awareness of some things and focusing too much on others too.

Probably in "application control" or whatever Kaspersky calls it. Usually the part that stops one application modifying or loading another.

Usually caused by either the disk not being available (some with 2 DVD drives have this and need to swap DVD) - or a bad no-cd.exe, or it can be Anti Virus or Firewall's application control which blocks OFF Manager from loading it's DLL or stops CFS3.exe loading as OFF is trying to launch it. Disable AV, or firewall if it has "application control" and exclude our as described would help.

BTW re the fourth.. watch out with the "z-bias trick" it can cause needles on instrument dials to stop working for some odd reason.
