Dermo, please read the thread. Don't worry. LOTS of info how to check. I can assure you there is nothing at all wrong with OUR files at all. 1000s of people have it, and we are all fine as per this thread. So if you have a trojan it's either 1) something you got elsewhere 2) a false alarm In the thread ALL the other AV products out there, including all the top ones, find NOTHING. Please go do a scan/check with other AVs tools listed in the thread to assure yourself. Unfortunately this thread keeps rearing it's ugly head and it's all cos of a false alarm with 1 AV product. Avira updated their product to stop the false alarm - if it's back with a new update that's annoying, please contact them again as Homeboy did above and ask if they can check if it is the same issue, or indeed you have collected a trojan from elsewhere ;)

Just to clarify there.. CFS3 QC is relegated as it's, well, old CFS3, not that it's terribly broken, just not recommended and we do no work or particular testing with it. P3 is Vista compatible and the installer was indeed developed ON Vista so works fine. Vista being Vista it may need some help from time to time, but that's not us ;)

Eventually before Saturn crashes into Mars or whatever we hope to have the Gotha and Zep in campaign then you might get some action defending England. Otherwise do as the guys say and transfer out by choosing a pilot in another date or squadron , or sight-see, or manual time advance (as you found via workshop setting), .

If it is Vista or Win7 it WILL say that about OFF Manager as it is running in sleep/idle whilst CFS3 engine runs. Sometimes in Vista it's slow to quit CFS3 - usually wait a few seconds and it should come back. If not maybe a reinstall is needed.

Yes as uncleal says try running the Graphics config from Workshop (see the FAQ for info on setting up graphics).

USB is flakey. Swap it to another USB port (preferably one of the 1st/main ones on the PC, or get a GOOD *powered* USB hub and plug it in there. Possibly the new super PC has a super video card that eats power for breakfast so could also cause a dip here and there, check you have a good quality power supply..

Built in motherboard sound cards especially older or cheaper ones can eat CPU - or it could be the driver for sure. Try turning sound off and see what happens (Q I think).

The twilight zone! Likely you just didn't see them but maybe the cloaking device for P4 was in testing ;)

Or run cfs3config and set up sliders (terrain and scenery on 4 or less).

This is the key here, the correct designation must be used when discussing all the facts. EV did see combat, DVIII likely not. Seems to be mostly in the parks waiting to go or maybe some were delivered and sat there for a day or two. The craft are the same essentially apart for the fix to the wing.

If you turn off messages then you er turn off messages ;) Several craft have a fuel gauge, or fuel pressure. Over enemy territory keep your eye on it and on some leaks you will of course see more spray behind you ;) Otherwise yes maybe toggle them on when in combat. Although with them off you are flying as you would in real life, you would not always know of damage to your craft until it was too late.

Firstly, try some other squadrons. Maybe you are meeting elite german squadrons and you are in an average one? This is all modelled in OFF. Change your situation. Secondly go by how it climbs in game not by what it reports in the FM editor. There's a lot more to this than plugging in numbers in but I always find AI in DH2, wipes my squad in EIIIswith equal AI (say Vet) most often.

Well no need to email us as we can not officially say "yes it is supported". The current version has only been tested with XP 32 bit and Vista 32/64 bit, however I run with Windows 7 64 bit and OFF works fine for me, although I do not play MP.

Yes it is possible to play on a LAN using TCP/IP. No idea re IPX. Same thing as playing CFS3. Check the multiplayer section of the OFF forums.

Blue781 which Anti Virus product? it is important that to note that. Some AV programs use the same algorithms or AV signatures. Housecall found nothing either so many many AV products find nada.. Please if anyone posts a "me too" please state the AV product, and more importantly do not post if you have the same AV as the start of this thread, AVira, or obviously you WILL have a warning from it and it will not help anyone to have 100 people saying me too with the same AV product!

AVira doesn't like a certain pattern of binary in the new OFF Manager (which is changed of course) and is causing a false report - please report it as a false positive, all the other virus killers here and mine and the teams all find no problem. Just to clarify so far AVG 8.5 (two people) Norton NOD32 (two people I have it too) SpyHunter F-Secure 2010 McAfee AV AdAware Spybot Avast All find nothing.. Ok glad you are sorted Stiffy. Basically there are TWO programs to deal with CFS3 (Microsoft's Combat Flight Sim 3) and OFF BH&H. So do not confuse the two. CFS3 which needs to be 3.1 (most modern versions you buy are already 3.1 anyway, but if you have an old one you need to update it first with MICROSOFT's 3.1 update from Microsoft's website. OFF by us, which has it's own DVD install then you download 1.32 Superpatch and install, then download 1.32g minipatch and install it (currently).

Great stuff, thanks for reporting back the fix. That's covered in the FAQ btw Q8. About half way down the answer under "That didn't help, but you are using two controllers to fly OFF (example here X52 and CH pedals) then :"

See the FAQ setup your graphics settings properly, make sure you have a real CFS3.exe try that. Insert the disk. Do not use an old cfs3.exe (v.3.0 won't work for a start). If no go then send a mail to the support email address, with your order number and details.

Guys I can't see every post and help everyone on the forum, others help too. We are trying to make addons, aircraft and P4, so rather stretched. Support email is the place, with your order number to get help if there is no-one can help in here, and you have carefully checked through the FAQ. Sorry you are having problem with your new video card, but first thing I'd clean out all old video drivers, then run cfsconfig, click FILE, DEFAULT SETTINGS and go see if it works. If you have two DVD readers, swap the disk, or try unpugging one that can cause weirdness. If you use a NO-CD exe then don't and try that.

Using it does not crash out the game normally but maybe you are trying to view too wide a view on the vertical - this will put much more strain on your texture memory, and memory. Too many objects or textures in view maybe. Try 25:14 ? 16:9 is what that is we don't need to add support it already is supported ? Otherwise check your memory and hard drive for errors.

The_Black_Knight that isn't normal I am afraid - I never have to do any of that. It's possible going gtom V1.0 -> 1.32 you have to delete pilots, but not usual to do anything else. Sounds like the hard drive has errors or something, do a scandisk.
