Imagine the mess of instructions I have to edit each time.. not for me. Overload already I am afraid. There are 100's of options for most people to set it as they like. Fixing Autopilot is not a simple thing if at all possible. It's fine for most craft. Get the craft level and aiming roughly in the right direction helps for some. It is very very low priority right now. We will never ever get P4 done at this rate.. Use warp or Pause then warp later. Or time acceleration.. many ways.

Keep pressing the same key until the dial you want (or don't want) is set. Each number is 1 dial. toggle the same button over and over and it will change dial... through each type and then to "off". Same as CFS3, exactly same controls. -
If it's still choppy make sure you have AMD dual core patch for running single core apps (for Intel users install XP SP3).

Thanks, also make sure you have 1.32b installed... • Reduced Rate of Fire of AA guns - was too high when battles are on the go. -
Sounds like something is wrong with your CFS3.exe horowae. You use a No-cd exe ? AI does not crash into houses if the game is running properly.

Pretty new patch.. one way to describe it lol. Well it's not just pretty there's quite a bit of free good things in there, and we really didn't need to give it away, but hey we did. The AA was wrong it was MILES away from the craft. Now they are actually trying to hit the craft radical new idea! Now you can spot enemies by flak bursts (as they really did).. before you couldn't so that was completely unrealistic. -
Never apologise for speaking your mind? Well it really depends on what is on your mind... If didn't apologise or hold back sometimes I think I'd be single. My partner speaks her mind often, and then apologises ;) Homeboy has and that takes more guts than having a go.

What Bullethead said :) I assume you bob and weave? If not why not? That's what pilots did especially over very fiercely defended areas like balloons. Pilots quite often, would sometimes, being a war on, die. Pilots that flew in busy, well protected areas, especially later on, would die more. However if you don't want to die or you want to win the war, which is fine, simply select an EASIER option for ground fire in Workshop - that's what options are for. OR choose pilot never dies. etc Some like it some don't so we have to put options so almost everyone is happy.

Well as with all PCs there are a trillion options and combinations. It has been optimised so most people do see improvement. If you don't see that compare your settings to others, including Display driver version, video settings etc. mayeb you have high quality textures enabled etc, or settings in cfs3config different from others. See FAQ and threads in this forum for optimising ATI and NVidia.

The button doesn't work Winston, see WM's and my explanation in your other "open letter" thread. i.e. before it was ALWAYS, wrongly, overriding what the sim dictated according to historical weightings. So if you have lower player flight density, and the sim knew this was a time for large numbers, you'd have a few craft, and the enemy would have loads or vice versa i.e. balance was ruined. Fly along behind your ACE flight if you want safety in numbers. -
Probably because they are given the same START point as you but they do not necessarily have the exact same path or height as you always.

Also try leaning the engine on the ground before take off to get maximum rpm. Take off at a shallow angle, build up speed, then carefully climb. Maybe take a few % less fuel if you have trouble :) -

Nice thanks Winston. As always if you ask, there may well be a way to fix the "issue" you have. Ranting might work, but if you read the forum you might find an overwhelming number of people who think the latest update has improved the experience a lot, but yes you cannot please everyone all the time. But yes we could just stop updating and improving.. would sure gave us an awful lot more spare time. 1. Flight Density was wrong. It broke the OOB "order of battle" that's built in where realistic numbers are assigned based on the situation, battles, period, etc. If you don't like the odds then stick with the Ace flight more. I posted in another thread tips for that. Read some more posts. Or chose another date, location, squad. So FOLLOW THE ACES if you can't handle the numbers. In WW1 piots were OFTEN outnumbered depending on date/time/location/side. If you are outnumbered stop using warp so often to crash bang into enemy flights, then you can avoid them more (as you should). Break warp much more often (I mentioned this several times). 2. Loud flak? Turn down effects sounds! Workshop. 3. Flak too accurate? turn down ground fire - Workshop.

Not sure what that means but if AI crashes at take off something is installed incorrectly, or they are not launching via OFF Manager or CFS3.exe is V3.0 usually. -
Well basically as long as your CFS3 is an original CD that you installed using all should be well, if you replace the exe yourself with another all may not be well. Should be fine, but may not be.

Thanks sitting _duck there is a sticky about the cfs3.exe too now. It's come to light in the past that is causes all sorts of odd issues, and we often forget and spend hours trying to fix things that are nothing to do with us. Although if it's definitely v3.1 exe it should be fine, but of course we can't support various 3rd party 'unknown' exes Obviously many people hate putting their legitmate CD in everytime, so use these but if there are issues, put the real exe in and see if that works, that's what we have to state, and if anyone asks for support that's what we'll ask for first now.
