No problem, but given the quadzillion options it's easy for people to see different things. So we need all the details before we say it's broken or not. Obviously people are seeing dramatically different things. In my last tests I could lose wings all day, and it does take some time go re re test stuff. Many are slightly stronger still than in P1 and P2, but maybe they need to be even weaker. So I think we need to know slider settings, which craft, what settings in worskshop, settings in QC, or was it a mission or campaign, height, speed of dive, angle etc. Also there is some give and take. For example in testing Albs I might do a dive to 160 and pull up fine. Maybe 5 or 6 times before snap.. so sometimes 5 sometimes 6. However if doing 180mph into a dive same angle, it might break 1 or I may get lucky and it breaks on the 2nd go. Try the N11 it is weaker than the N17. N11 will receive damage to the wings in a sustained dive even at 160+ but it could take a few dives before the wings leave. Some craft won't achieve a huge speed in a dive - think N11 is around 170 mph max.

Woo hold on Homeboy, it's very odd as earlier phases the wings came off very easily in Noop 11,16,17 and Albs - quite easily. Worked a lot on getting that right. We slightly strengthened them in in P3, and then re weakened them in the last patches when people said they no longer came off. Looks like something odd going on. Yeah please check aircraft stress is turned on as Uncleal says. Also what DM ? (I remember recently Oldham was complaining the Alb wings came off all the time lol, but now he is a little more careful).

From memory the Tripe dual gun FM is slightly worse climb, more nose heavy, and a few mph slower. -

Its not high on the priority list at the moment - at some point I am sure we can do it but when it the problem. Unfortunately it's more than just an FM change (and testing) - we have to have also have the correct craft allocated to the correct squadrons /dates /skins etc via the manager. As Shred says so much to do. The VII in the game is the 180 if I remember. -
It was fixed but not sure the next "patch" will have that included. We'll have to wait and see.

And it's NAILED ! down in flames it goes.. Weeeee We also spent the whole day on another pet gripe internally and fixed it after some lateral thinking from Winder, I'll not reveal it yet though as not sure when we can release it. We know OFF is not perfect, but it is getting less imperfect as time goes on ;)

Never seen more than about 2 fps drop with Z key. Maybe check other things like your AA settings or ATI config (see tips page?).

That's pretty much what I have now same CPU and mobo (PQ5 Delux) (suped up higher o/c 280GTX not 285 though) and it runs it at 1920x1200 full everything very nicely so you should be good to go. E8400 is overclocked to 3.7Ghz with a big cooler. Or you can go for a the new Intel i920- good great for overclocking.

OFF Track IR problems

Make sure you update the game support in TrackIR, and make sure it's the latest version etc. -
DR Numbers see the FAQ and set up the graphics settings sliders, you probably have them too high.. http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#A25 see step 7 first then try the others.

It appears some posters got out of hand and the posts of those riding close the the edge removed. Winder and myself have not seen these posts so hence the rather blank looks. But thanks Ted for clearing the air. Guys please remember respect people on here who come into our forum for a good interesting read about OFF and WW1, not a slanging match. Please stick to the facts in discussions very easy to sling cheap stuff and that escalates quickly.

Yep flight leader gets the best machine :) He will usually slow down later on the leg and you can catch him. New AI code has to handle an awful lot of situations, and we had to make many changes to CFS3 AI to get them to cope with WW1 craft/patrols etc. Currently that's the way it is. AI is not affected by wind yet, so often you are flying into a head wind, and they aren't. Many things may change for a future version and we have some exciting stuff coming I know :) I remember in IL2 I could never ever catch the AI taking off and only ever caught them about 2 miles from the target, at least in OFF you get some chances at various points :) You can usually preempt his moves, and also .. try some other craft they vary somewhat in differences. edit: oh and make sure you set the mixture on your craft correctly to get the max performance ! -

British_eh From what we see clouds on 5 helps stop AI seeing through clouds I can honestly say the last time I collided with a friendly was about 2 years ago, so I'd brush up on awareness more, adjust the TIR etc, choose some different craft/date/squad/settings. Got to be something set your end that one. Can't remember the last enemy I collided with that was not my fault for getting too close. Flying all sorts of craft/dates/situations. Yep we are using PCs and there is the difficulty, it is not real so matching all possibilities in software is pretty much impossible, but onwards we go.. -

Mm wouldn't do what the MS site says particularly, try updating and reinstalling the TrackIR software and the update game support. Otherwise maybe your OFF install is broken somehow.
