  1. Good day to all,  today we have released an update V1.28 for WOFF BH&H II users.

Just the one item but good for those flying in Dual role/multi aircraft squadrons.

    Version 1.28   19 May 2022

    1)    Dual Role Squads: Fighter 'B Flights' are no longer recommended to load up Recce type equipment, because A flight actually carries out the Recce mission goals and B flight assists by protecting them.

Of course this update includes ALL previous updates, including the recent 'Recon Wars' FREE expansion.

  2. Understood, there will be more flyables.  For the WOTR expansion currently in development, I am working on a virtual cockpit as we speak.  However, yes as it takes a lot of time and work, without support from sales we'll never get there !  Kind of catch 22 there. (Sorry to use your name in vain catch ;)).

WOTR has something (like WOFF)  and that's a real depth, a full on immersive campaign, and great A.I. to fly with and against.  So that has to count for something other than "more flyables".  There are sims out there that have many flyables and nothing substantial to fly them in.

  3. Known issues

    FIXED IN V1.23 available now

    1) After updating to version V1.22, it will still show as V1.21 in Workshops.  So for now...

You can check you have V1.22 installed by going to the workshop and clicking on  "Re Map Keys/Controllers" button top left.

You should see the "Wings Over The Reich Function Bindings" program top left  and it will say V2.0A on the end of the title

Close the  "Wings Over The Reich Function Bindings" and carry on..

    Thanks, Pol.

Yeah, I forgot to factor in my poor tactics when approaching two-seaters. Almost every time I have been killed by a two-seater, it was because I was approaching them directly from behind. Much better to use diving, slashing attacks, but that requires very good gunnery skills, which I am also not very good at.

In summary: when fighting scouts, always try to get on their six. When fighting two-seaters, NEVER get on their six (unless the observer is kaput).

Yeah, it's a lot of flying effort and time to invest to gain altitude, get ahead of the enemy and then swoop, to just go away and do the whole thing again and again.  Always thing how would I appear to the gunner. If you think you would be in the same piece of sky for a while and close, you will be shot down.  As I am often short on time  I'm too lazy so would often chase from behind.

  7. As BB says

    1) They are the ranges of enemy activity  - inner is where more action could be expected.

    2) It depends on the aircraft, some fuel loads re very close to the pilot others not and that can affect the balance.  That’s why some can behave better or worse after a long mission as the Center of gravity moves.

    4) do not approach from behind, otherwise you will be a relatively "still" target in the sky,  you need to move rapidly across which means getting close but get above and in front then come in with a slashing dive rinse repeat.  Or get underneath and as you overtake pull up and shoot, dive and climb back up, under.

  8. WOFF BH&H II V1.26 UPDATE for 'Recon Wars' is now available.

    Version 1.26    20th April 2022 ...

    1)    Fixed a target search issue that resulted in no 'French HQs' or 'USA HQs' being found, occasionally causing an error.
    2)    Recon Wars CO Report was not being logged in the pilot log file correctly  - Fixed - for 1.26 going forward.
Note: data that was not logged correctly for flights in Recon Wars prior to 1.26 cannot be recovered.

Of course, this includes all previous updates for BH&H II,  see the WOFF website for more info.

  9. Please only post in the technical thread.  I have already answered this elsewhere so I will delete this shortly.

I asked you to try some settings with "run as adminsitrator" etc.  However I will noty be responding in all these threads it's far too confusing.

For WOFF, please contact support and send your log files and other system info as requested last 2 pages of the WOFF UE FAQ (send via email, do NOT post them here)

  10. "OFF" or "WOFF" socrate?  I'm not sure the very OLD "OFF" will work on Window 10s.  Anyway check the comments above and try those please.

If it's the very old OFF then maybe you need to set it to run in WIndows XP SP2 compatibility

WOFF1,2,3 and above including BH&H II work fine on Windows 10 and 11.

Maybe send the files and logs (as explained last 2 pages of the WOFF FAQ)  to support email address (do not post here) and I can check the version etc rather than guessing.

  11. It could be a number of things, what version of OFF is it?

If you are on a non-English language Windows and are running older OFF you need to set  the Windows number settings to use , for see the FAQ section 5 (in the new BH&H II FAQ at least).  The FAQs are on the Support page on the website.

You may need to set compatibility settings on WOFF.exe and maybe CFS3.exe to "run this program as an administrator" too.  Seems some installs of Windows require that, oddly.

(explained in section 17, see item number 13 and 14 there).

As Buckeye also kindly explained in previous thread you posted in.
