I see... Your case is indeed most severe! Perhaps your razor isn't the best quality you should have. You can also try to take some advices in pharmacy, they might have some things easing the skin after or before shaving.

Su-27 crashed at Radom Airshow, Poland
Emp_Palpatine replied to Stary's topic in Military and General Aviation
Quite strange and moving to see this bird and the pilots take off. knowing what is to come... -
Indeed. Remember that it has been 20 years since Russia had serious R&D. It's quite a lot of time to catch up, even more if you add the usual Soviet-inherited weakness in electronics. So buying stuffs and working on associations with western industries is far from being a silly deal.

So is mine, also because I'm quite heavy handed with the blade and because it's often somewhat thick and tangled. Geez, I should do it daily since I'm 15! You should try electric razors. They usually they won't do to your skin the things the blade will. But it's indeed far less tidy... Wouldn't us all be so happy if beards and moustaches just like in mid-19th century suddenly become sooooo fashionnable? I personnaly choose the Longstreet cut!

Su-27 crashed at Radom Airshow, Poland

Again... Poor pilots and families. Hope everyone is safe on the ground. -
My sister went to Japan a few months ago. Funny to see they had quite the same feelings! Thanks again for sharing, Dave.

I used electric for long, before I forgot it in Libya when leaving. As I never took the time to buy a new, it's manual blade now. Should be once a day, more often it's once every two days. Will revert to electric as soon as possible, meaning when I think about it in a store.

I remember a few years ago, Czech opened some military archives too and a french paper made some articles about the Warsaw Pact cold war plans. Czech ones were quite gruesome: massive NBC first strike, including on strategic targets. In those plans, Warsaw pact armies -after having defeated FRG and Nato forces there- were supposed to be divided along "traditionnal" invasion roads of France, with Czech forces conquering the traditionnal passes to the Rhone valley and once there seizing Lyon and rolling to Mediterranean Sea. I frankly can't wait to have all this Cold War plans declassified and having them on good websites and books.

Three comments: - Well, Russia's militaro-industrial complex is definitely failing and the past russian trend of association with french industry is growing. Remember the common trainer jet project. - Obviously, Russia wants to increase her projection capabilities, or at least tries to go back to decent ones. - Thanks for the money! Please buy more, and well be able to build that second Carrier one day!

It might be difficult to understand when one's country is united without much ethnic/religious/language "brothers" living on foreign soil; or when one's integrity/independence isn't threatened by a neighbour, but countries experiencing such tensions are also concerned for their peoples IMHO. I'm not saying that's right or wrong, but for such a country, fulfilling the nation's unity or integrity, reunitating with lost fellow countrymen or getting back an historical cradle is being concerned about what's best for the people. Even if I think Russia is the most agressive there, regarding International Law and other principles, I do understand her motives. Ukraine saw the first russian states with the Kiev Rus. It was a craddle, like Kossovo for Serbia, so things are higly emotionnal and symbolic. And identity issues, symbols, history and emotions are indeed part of what's important for a people. And indeed, Ukraine also has the right to be independent, and nobody gunned the russian speaking ukrainians to vote yes to independence when they did so.

I heard about this baby recently... Can you guys tell me more about it? Basically, it's an F-15 heavily modernised? What are its market targets? USAF? Close Allies? Other Allies? thanks!

Missed that. Thanks.

So, you have true beers too on the other side of the world too! Any chance to find good (read belgian or french flemish) ones?

I doubt there will be any conflict now, but things will only worsen until 2017, and might become really really tense there. Ukraine made an horrendous mistake when she renounced nukes back in the 90's. They are now at Russia's mercy as western Europeans are cowards and the US won't fight for them, at least not as long as the Messiah is in power. I won't be surprised if the same "Osset" tactic is used: - Give out a lot of convenience Russian Passports to Crimea and/or Eastern Ukraine (ie Russian speaking part). So, technically, most people there would be "russians". - Wait patiently for the situation to be quite hot (let's say in 2017): inevitably, some incident will take place and "russian citizens" will be killed/molested. - State you will protect your citizens, inside your borders or outside. - Invade. Rince, Repeat operation a few years later in Baltic States...

That's a CGI or artist rendition, right? Or am I so much stupid I missed her first flight?

Civilian traffic in the campaign
Emp_Palpatine replied to Julhelm's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
It had been discussed before indeed... I think the main problem was the binarity of the campaign engine, that is: either red or blue side. So the only way, playing mercenary, to achieve what you want would be to set civilian planes as transport planes in red side. Pure guess from memories of similar threads, I'm far from being a modder. -
Awesome! Thanks a lot, guys!

WW2: Invasion of Japan?
Emp_Palpatine replied to Stratos's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Prop Heads Forum
It's a dream come true. Since Dynamix's 1946, I was hoping for such things. -
Regarding the guy's welcome in Libya: http://www.lemonde.fr/afrique/video/2009/0...30812_3212.html From what I can see, the plane landed at Meitiga, that is now a strictly military/government airfield. So, the welcome party isn't from Tripoli inhabitants that aren't allowed in such areas. It's confirmed by the flags, portraits and such. People didn't wait for Megrahi for years with ready to use portraits. Actually, when I was there, normal libyan guys couldn't have cared less about that guy. Such preparation is the mark of the regime. And finally these welcome party guys are wearing green or white and green baseball caps, a trademark from the regime's stalwarts from the revolutionnaries commitees: basically the henchmen used to controll the population, spy on people in the street or at home and for "on demand" demonstrations like this one. So, no Tripoli inhabitants there, only dozens of revolutionnary comitees members eager to do what they are ordered to. It's sure a small compensation for us all, but I think we musn't be deceived: it's a false hero welcome. It's just a show with a few minor actor to take revenge by enraging western TV and it's also organised for the state TV for propaganda purpose. People back there don't care about Megrahi's fate. They just want to live their live, avoid Qaddafi's security services and jails (or worse) and now that he is somewhat calmed down, forget about what he did to the country, to people around the world and to Libya's reputation. Well, it's a shame for all the Colonel was missed by that LGB back in 1986...

Dynamic campaign: when is it running?
Emp_Palpatine replied to Uhu's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I might have misunderstood Dave's replies, but I do remember in my games flying above previously destroyed targets that were still ruins. Not burning but ruins. At least it's true for fuel tanks and hangars/warehouses in WoI and WoE. -

Nukes and stuffs! What campaign are you playing, Dave? -
Same here. But you have to take away the paroled time and such. So, most of the time is closer to 15 years... At least, Spanish or US system with centuries of sentence (see Maddof) are usefull in order to keep prisonners in, despite parole and stuffs.

I'm not saying Libya and that guy are innocent. I can't go and won't further than what you can find in papers or studies when digging a little bit, but some hypothesis are actually facts. More details and facts expose me to some clearance papers I signed... I frankly don't know about Libya's role and this guy innocence. What I'm sure of is that Gaddafi was furious to be scapegoated alone for this, leaving the two other bastards alone. That's perfectly the sort of thing the bastard hates, and when the Nurses were in his jails, he permanently linked their fates with Meghrahi's. It's pretty obvious: they waited two years to jam the tracks in the eye of the opinion, but his release is clearly an exchange for the nurses. Hell... nobody cares here. It's frightening, I'm really concerned about my country mental sanity. That's perhaps because we got our own Lockerbie above the Tenere desert, see UTA Flight 772 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTA_Flight_772) I saw when I was in Libya the guy responsible in a toy shop almost next to me... can't really describe the feeling...
