DS Mod Goodies
Emp_Palpatine replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Overall combat records of the 29 are unimpressive indeed. Iraq, Erythrea. Let's forget former Yugoslavia, given how one-sided the thing was. Just have a look to Ethiopia vs Erythrea war in 2000. Erythrea air force was quickly ousted of the sky by Ethiopian Flanker. I don't know if the export variants or first batches of 29 are that bad, but they did not perform well anywhere. -

Why not some mirage for Dhimar? West-friendly arab countries of the cold war were good customers indeed. And even unfriendly ones. -

I concurr, very good community. I am very happy to hang around here. -
I started virtual flying with FS 4 in the early 90's. Oh, I remember very well my Le Havre - Paris (very easy, just follow the Seine), London - Paris, Baltimore - DC, Boston - NYC, above those green with little white dots and some gray lines figuring roads. It's disturbing news indeed.

Sure, if one start with blackmarket or sacrifice, one won't like BSG. But with pure awesomeness just like "33", one will be just immediatly addicted. Just like me.

WoE with Nato Fighter, then WoI (does not really need mods), SFP1 with some campaigns like Harrier and WoV. -
N Korea issues warning to Seoul
Emp_Palpatine replied to Erwin_Hans's topic in Military and General Aviation
Very dangerous indeed, but I don't think that it will implode soon, sadly. That State is by far more closed, sort of a Blackhole in the world (no net, no mobile phones, let alone phones at all for the people, no satellite TV...). I'm affraid the only way for most people there to learn what's really going on outside is rumors. So, a ground to top evolution/coup/whatever, is very unlikely, all the more considering the total network of surveillance and repression those people are living under. -
N Korea issues warning to Seoul

First comment: it's the usual agressive rethoric of that regime. Just have a look there http://www.kcna.co.jp/index-e.html I don't think there is much to fear, they are just barking as usual. Second comment: it may be also related to this : http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/wor...-jong-woong.htm Obvioulsy, Kim Jong Il health issues are more serious than thought before. In such totalitarian, with one-ruler, it is not safe to choose a successor, unless you want to be overthrowned (killed, coup, whatever) by the said successor. But, if you are close to death... So, they are busy in Pyongyang, as the Invincible Feldmarshall might die, and they are just saying to Seoul: mind your own business. In no way, by the way, is the DPRK able to start a war, let alone win it. -

Yeah! Ban them! For Gods sake, it's worth being thrown thru the airlock! Waiting for 4.5 DVD here, I'm just ending my rewatch of all BSG -TOS included - and I will drive more and more crazy.

Quick (Franco-belgian) is quite good. I must say that I just loved Egyptian Cook Door and Mum'een in Libya.

Desert Storm Mod Update For Jan 2009
Emp_Palpatine replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
When new planes will be released, will there be any plan making other nations flyable (ie French Air force and its Mirage 2000 and Jaguar; Koweiti FAF, RSAF, Belgian in Turkey...)? -

Desert Storm Mod Update For Jan 2009
Emp_Palpatine replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
Last time you said even your very good comp (can't remember the specs) had troubles running the mod smoothly -but it's also possible I misunderstood you-, so I'm quite affraid with my two years old dying laptop. Perhaps were you talking about running it with settings at full? Whatever, tunning down settings is of course a solution, and I won't cry if I have to set the horizon closer or minimize water... The second download with high-rez skin is by the way a very good idea!
