  1. Fraking good! Won't surely be able to run it, but fraking good!
  2. AFAIK, WoE does have lots of stuff that are not in the other games and are must have for DS. By the way, some lazer-cats hidden in desert would be just great as easter eggs!
  3. Ever been in an accident?

Lol. I wonder how I should have described my two-month old accident... "I collided with my two-wheeler a vehicle that wasn't there".
  4. Stay safe Mannie...

Stay safe, mannie. Hope you and yours won't be armed.
  5. Good news. But I hope it will be an all inclusive...
  6. BSG Webisodes Coming 12/12

I haven't too. But I'm outside the US, so it's quite complicated to watch them. And by the way, I'm currently busy with the original serie DVD I got at Christmas.
  7. How does your room looks like?

Best wishes for Brad, Lori. As for my room... The current one, which is quite transitional is quite small and crowded with books, more books, history and military history reviews and furniture. I had to left my former flat, that was cool and cheap and of a good size, for a smaller one this Autumn. I am on the verge on going to Paris for professionnal reasons, so I'm affraid that there I will live in something really, really small until I earn some more salary.
  8. Say what you want, I will always think that this contraption is flying backward.
  9. French tank destroyer

    Never heard of them before.
  10. Would be great for my old fantasy of a US-CS war in the 1960-1070...
  11. There is a real advantage playing in WOI and WOV to have some ECM. As soon as I'm locked on, I turn them on and most of the time it helps breaking the ennemy lock. Most time, I am even not in the obligation of flying at low level, thanks to them. But it's not 100% effective.
  12. Two weeks I guess. BTW, can't wait!
  13. I don't think it will work. Weeks ago, there were some words about this campaign (along with other ones) being updated to october standart.
  14. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy new year, gentlemen! May God bless you all.
  15. Happy Birthday JSF_Aggie

Happy birthday, gentleman! Thanks for all the marvelous campaigns you gave us, and all the fun that came along.
  16. How Southern are yew?

All of this rise a new questions to me. In US radios, TV, and such, is there an unified way of speaking? IE every speaker or show leader speaking in a NY or Washington way? Or is there differences? In France, for instance, whole TV and radios speak the so-called "Parisian french" -the same you may have learned as a foreign language. Speaking with your accent -except southern ones, I don't know why- when applying to a job, working or whatever is sometime perceived in a very bad manner. When I began my studies, a teacher told us (northern France): "Ya'all who speak like notherners must learn to speak a "neutral" french for future interviews and job applications, or it will be hell to find a job". Thanks jacobinism...
  17. How Southern are yew?

I'm just a beginner with US accents. The way of speaking english learned in France is dubbed "Queen's English", so very british. I got a lot of "New England", but I don't know if it's quite logical ie do new-englander speak in a way close to british? Well... Actually, it doesn't really matter as my accent is quite awfull...
  18. The Dhimar Conflict

That's for me the main weakness of SF. Instead of having 2, 3 or 4 campaigns dealing with a same number of intensive wars, just like kippour or six days, we have a non-credible decade-one-mission-per-year-war. That's also why I prefer Harrier campaign, or such mod transforming the war into a full-fledged one-month long one, instead of the stock campaign.
  19. The Dhimar Conflict

Back story isn't bad. It's based on modern day koweit, but also Iran-Iraq war. Basically, the two countries are rivals because of oil field at the borders. In the fifties, the Paran Shah (Iran nod)is overthrown by revolutionnaries backed by soviet Union. They soon decide to be expansionists -a nod to Libya versus Chad- hence US involvement.
  20. Much changes are under the skin, I suppose. Sadly, with me moving to Paris in following weeks (man, I hate that city, it will be a torture to leave my home town for that...), with awfull rent and my miserable salary, I guess I will have to wait for better days to buy it (because I just want to say TK how much I like his game).
  21. My Grandfather has passed.....

    So say we all. <S>
  22. Islamic call to prayer

"God is the Greatest, God is the Greatest, God is the Greatest. I do affirm there is no other God than God, I do affirm there is no other God than God. I do affirm Mu'hammad is God's Prophet I do affirm Muhammad is God's Prophet Come to pray (?) to peace (?) -I'vn't been able to understand it despite my year in a muslim country Then some other thing like "prayer is better than sleeping". (that's what I've been told there as it exceed my very small arabic language capabilities. But I do know that some part of the call for prayer do change during the day.) Then, he says again "God is the Most Great and the Shaada (No other God and Mohammad as the Prophet)." Although I'm no muslim, I concurr with you: talentuous muezzins can just make that call a wonder. The most epic I heard where some times when, for the evening prayer, all the muezzin of my neighbourhood were chanting together, responding to one-another etc... An other impressive moment was during some night of the Ramadan month, when they chanted some unusual stuffs. I do think that solemnity is a key part of religion. As a catholic, I think the loss of Latin is a great shame and a great error. Masses are not looking serious. Just a bunch loosy scouts song with smiles and guitars. I've had once a latin-mass done by monks... That was awesome! (here is some exemple: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGdtll3KAqw...eature=related)Looking toward modernity by letting down huge part of the tradition, the way the Church did and does is a way to failure.
  23. My Drawings

Still better than what I can make!
  24. Beyond the Red Line

http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=23085 Check out here, and don't forget the new concurrent project "Diaspora".
  25. Mig-29's for Lebanon

Odds are these planes will soon be grounded, the way the mirages were in the 1970's. The fact is the lebanese state lack the monopoly of violence in its own country, as shown the quite frequent fightings with islamists. And as shown by the Hezbollah -with its own armed forces, networks and stuffs- power. My guess is indeed that Lebanon will sadly have other things to do than to fly fancy CAP and aerial parades with those planes, as the Army is the sole thing keeping the state stabilized. Money, time and efforts will be spend elsewhere. I just can see, apart from the symbolic point of view, how can those planes be useful. They won't stand a chance against the IDF or the SARAF. But if it can help the Lebanese State to assert itself and gain in legitimacy and prestige, that's the way to go! Steps by steps, weakening all those islamists and such, and going back to the prosperity and stability of before the 1970.
