  1. What has been broken by that patch?
  2. As for the national markings, what i've often imaginated was this roundel, but with inverted colours (red instead of blue, blue instead of red) ad some CSA St Andrew cross on the tail (in a similar fashion as the one spanish planes are bearing, but with CSA ish colours).
  3. Ziker gave the best advices you can get: fly low! But there, beware of the AAA... In the 1982 campaign, ECM pods and chaff/flares do help a lot to increase survability, but in 1973, it's the only solution.
  4. Yeah, I know about industrialisation. BTW, one can assume that given their survival, the CSA would have stressed on industrialization, and while being unable to reach the level of the Union, may have reduced the gap. As I'm actually more interested in a jet era campaign than in WW2, I would see either French or British design amon CSAF. Confederates mirages, mysteres or Lightning (huh... given the size of the theatre and their short legs...) But hell, a Confederate F4 would be handsome!
  5. What do their CSA insignia looks like? I guessed that the greatest issue would be the lack of any suitable terrain... As for scenario, given the fact that making a campaign with the CSA is an uchrony, we are quite free. I've thought of a timeline (sort of) and tried to find a cause for war in the 50's -60's - 70's or early 80's (our favorite sim time frame, in other words). I found ideas centered about some cuban issues, but other way can be explorated too. As for the aircraft, I do not know quite well american aircraft builders, especially their history, but maybe were historically some compagnies born in the South, and other in the North? Let's say for instance that historicaly Mc Donnel Douglas was founded in Alabama, then CSA shall get F-4. If it is not the case, one can also use arbitrary choices ;) And don't forget that in most uchrony, CSA, France and UK seems to share close bonds, then the option of giving CSA french and british equipement might be considered too. Except from story line and some ideas, I can't do any "hard core" modding (map, skins etc) so if someone is interested, feel free! Actually, I had this idea washing my dishes and thought "hey, I have to post it on combatace to see if someone can be interested". :)
  6. Use carefully throttle of the F-105 and do not let AI fly it. F-105 tends to sucks heavily the fuel as soon as you get above 35-40% throttle.
  7. What is a dynamic campaign anyway?

Are you sure of this? I have much memories of fuel tanks or hangars destroyed in missions, and appearing destroyed during next missions. It may be true for the runway, but I'm not that sure for other targets.
  8. No, you can't! That file is for OTC 1.0. For OTC 2.0, it won't work.
  9. Happy Birthday to USAFMTL

    Happy B-bday, gentleman!
  10. Yep, Johann made a campaign in order to make all planes flyables. Actually, he modded it in order to be "add-on free", by using stock cockpit. It might be possible to use the existing MiGs cockpit downloadable here, but I don't know if they are WoI compatible or not, as most comes with ini and/or FM files.
  11. Did someone ever noticed that? Looks like that my wingman, by being an ace, is granted the right to bears his name in missions!
  12. AFAIK, aircrafts on the ground are not grount object, but air object. That's why they just explode when they are destroyed, without leaving any other mark. It's the way the game has been designed. I guess it was made in order to have an impact: there is a limited number of planes in a campaign, the more are destroyed (either in the airs or on the ground), the less you are subjected to engage. I would like to have those straffed planes not counted as air victories, just for the insane number of kill marks one can get, but it seems way too complicated to edit pilot file. So, I accepted it. :d
  13. Which sim for a Laptop ?

I do play WoE, SFP1, rarely WoV and WoI on my laptop, and with no major problems on highest settings. Only an handfull drop in FR sometimes, but it's rare. 1GB Ram, Core 1,8ghz, Nvidia Geforce 7600
  14. The end of Night Hawk

So soon?! Was it planned, or?
  15. The Official Chuck Norris CA Thread

    Exceeeellent!
  16. Sure man! Those who are unrespectfull toward Chuck will endure his powerfull wrath and get roundhouse kicked in the face!
  17. Here speak the ex-worker in diplomacy in Libya. ;) Well, Libya changed the markings of aircraft following 1977 people power proclamation, when they switched from their Egyptian-like flag (panarabism and all that stuff) to a Green banner, symbolizing Kadhafi's green revolution. The following months, they updated their marking, from the egyptian-like to the green roundel and flag. So, I've seen that in 1973 war campaign, the WoI Mirage V do have the correct roundels and marking, and that's great. That's even better if they switch to green after 1977.
  18. Last time I asked, DBS was under refit. I guess the modder are waiting for the new patch to finalize the stuff.
  19. I've already them, but I would like to have WoI compatible pits with your campaign, as those downloadable here all includes loadout and FM, and don't know if installing them or not will mixed up the game.
  20. Are you, guys, planing an historical mod that revamp stock campaigns? Will all Israeli planes and arab planes be flyable?
  21. Hi guys! Does anybody plans making arab air forces playable in WoI and the same for the Mystère, super mystère and Vautour? It would be great!
  22. Hi there, I'm wondering whether some campaign are under refit or not. I know that currently, Iran-Irak is being upgraded to SP4. Any other one, such as Taiwan 58 or Korea?
  23. Did not know her. It's very 60 sci-fi-ish  Well, in the century... I do like the deltas, let's say the 106.
