  1. I have an issue with white borders on all the decals I create. The example I've used is a buzz number on my RAAF F-4D. It is the same regardless of whether I use Photoshop or paint.net. Removing the anti-aliasing doesn't affect it (I get white borders around a blocky number). No amount of tinkering with fill or opacity changes it. What should I do? I've attached a buzz number in a zip file. BN000.zip
  2. (They're checking out the results on the other F-4D)
  3. I tried variant one, and it worked. For me, it has the virtue of allowing me to fix the existing decals rather than make new ones. To view decals, I use IrfanView, which only shows what is allowed through the Alpha layer.
  4. This is truly strange. This is a MiG-17 "Fresco-A" using the Soviet Silver skin with KPAF roundels. I have no idea why there is an RAF tail flash. The VPAF Silver skin does the same thing. Here is the decals.ini: [Decal001] MeshName=Vert_Tail DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=FinFlashR Position=-3.87,0.95 Scale=1.5 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal002] MeshName=Vert_Tail DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=LEFT FilenameFormat=FinFlashL Position=-3.87,0.95 Scale=1.5 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal003] MeshName=Right_Wing_Outer DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=TOP FilenameFormat=InsigniaWingR Position=3.85,-1.37 Scale=1.5 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal004] MeshName=Left_Wing_Outer DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=TOP FilenameFormat=InsigniaWingL Position=-3.85,-1.37 Scale=1.5 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal005] MeshName=Right_Wing_Outer DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=BOTTOM FilenameFormat=InsigniaWingL Position=3.85,-1.37 Scale=1.5 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal006] MeshName=Left_Wing_Outer DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=BOTTOM FilenameFormat=InsigniaWingR Position=-3.85,-1.37 Scale=1.5 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal007] MeshName=Fuselage DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=InsigniaFuseR Position=-1.52,-0.16 Scale=1.5 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal008] MeshName=Fuselage DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=LEFT FilenameFormat=InsigniaFuseL Position=-1.52,-0.16 Scale=1.5 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal009] MeshName=Fuselage DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=SovietNum Position=3.862,-0.065 Scale=0.8 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal010] MeshName=Fuselage DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=LEFT FilenameFormat=SovietNum Position=3.862,-0.065 Scale=0.8 DecalMaxLOD=3
  5. Solved. In the Objects/Decals folder, I found two RAF fin flashes, FinFlashR.tga and FinFlashL.tga. Once I deleted them, it was solved. Thanks, gentlemen!
  6. Were they RF-4 skins adapted to the F-4D and F-4E?
  7. A privatly owned tucano ?

    Where do you get one?
  8. The RAAF was involved in the Korean War, they even claimed a few MiG-15s. It is actually more rare for the RAAF to operate near home.
  9. Any chance of getting the RAAF in, with Mirage IIIO (or possibly F/A-18) and F-111C?
  10. That would be about right. I looked around the web, and there are some drawings of German implosion devices.
  11. Never made, so invent your own, say 15-25 KT.
  12. That reminds me, I should package and release my RAAF F-104 skins, including the Fanta Can.
  13. I've deleted the scratches, and I've also made some adjustments to the natural metal skins, from Paulopanz's advice.
  14. There were a variety of schemes for the tanks for 724, 805, and 808 Squadrons. They varied a great deal, including using the standard tanks. About the only one I could pin down with any consistency was 805 Squadron which used red on the inboard side and red and white checks on the outboard side. With the others, sometimes they used a lightning flash, sometimes a trim line. The level of inconsistency, and the lack of good colour reference images probably makes it not worthwhile.
  15. RAN skins too? (hopefully!)
  16. You might want to switch the SAAF fuselage markings to decals, rather than putting them directly onto the skin. I noticed exactly the same issue with a Phantom FGR.2 in RAAF markings.
  17. Friendly aircraft in the area. I'd suggest going though the log to see exactly what you destroyed. Nuclear strikes are best done without wingmen.
  18. Which is the better pale RAAF roundel? I've been using the TW-provided Type B Australian roundel (which has, so far as I know) never been used in real life. It looks good.
  19. I'll go with the Type B pale. Instead of putting on the skin, I'll have to use a decal. The TW Spey Phantoms don't make circular insignia look right when on the front of the intake (i.e. in the RAF position) when on the skin itself. Positioned on the rear (i.e. the USAF position) they look fine. Decals in the RAF position look fine.
  20. But very few do. F-111F, F-111C Late, A-6E (when equipped with TRAM)
  21. Boston bomber found guilty

  22. Which (in everyone's opinion) is the better way to implement nuclear sharing? Is it setting Export to Yes on the nuclear weapons concerned (which is what I have done), or creating nation specific nukes for the nations concerned (e.g. a second AIR-2 Genie for Canada)?
