You just need the correct avionics.ini. cockpit ini and files for the cockpit folder - get them from whatever mod you want to use. -
Rolling Thunder (A) - Mission 08
MigBuster replied to beachav8r's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Ace report as always By default its a percentage of a group of AAA/SAM targets - which isn't so bad with the default Flak - but with the more realistic flak becomes less realistic as you find you are the only jet left in NV but have 3 more AAA guns to take out to fulfill game parameters and everyone is shooting at you. This can be altered in the mission editor - I created an F-100F mission and reduced the amount to about 10% - then you can concentrate on suppressing threats to bombers as opposed to just trying to meet your own goals. -

The first series iniitally did that in Vista / 7 - but the 2008 patch kinda fixed it. It could be graphics card driver or DX9 related http://combatace.com/topic/34221-running-any-thirdwire-sim-in-windows-vista-by-usafmtl-column5-jtin/ -
Surprised to see this - real shame for the guy.

I use a 3rd party terrain that speeds up the FPS a lot - but you lose the fancy sea effect -

You do have that file if you have SF2V - the game will use the one in the cat file -
SF2 NA installation issue.
MigBuster replied to alex70b's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
One thing is to download the latest version of SF2NA i.e you should have kept your receipt and download link from TW in case you needed to download the game again - well you can go there and get the latest version. -
If it ever gets released yes - built from scratch like Jet Thunder Because its a new engine I will expect a lot of things missing and a lot of bugs initially

Northrop Grumman was recently awarded with two contracts from USAF. The issue which is regulated by these contracts is a logistic support for A-10 Warthogs, and the sum of money allocated to the aforementioned agreement is $24 million. The contract is called the A-10 Thunderbolt Life Cycle Program Support (TLPS), and includes indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract vehicle. What is more, the contract includes ASIP (aircraft structural integrity program) Modernization V. Its assumption is to keep the A-10 flying through 2028 and beyond that date and it is possible that the aircraft will receive updated systems. In other words, this means that the A-10 will remain in the active service in large numbers even though after the sequester this was not so certain. The process will at least be prolonged in time – even if the number of Hogs is to be limited, it won’t until a large number of F-35s is introduced. Even if the A-10 is still considered the best CAS (Close Air Support) plane ever designed, its capabilities may be a bit limited is particular scenarios, as in the Pacific theatre. Furthermore, it is a purely single-purpose aircraft, as opposed to F-35. U.S. Air Force operates 346 A-10s, half of those used by Air National Guard. The Congress protested against getting rid of 5 squadrons of A-10s last year, and it has already said that the protest is to be continued in 2014. http://theaviationist.com/2013/11/27/a-10-retirement/

Rolling Thunder (A) - Mission 07 (Video AAR)
MigBuster replied to beachav8r's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
SF2 is supposed to take advantage of multicore GPUs - but the actual difference can only be seen when testing it on a good Win install I suspect. A single jet causing fps - could be a higher poly model Loss of comms to 4th flight - not sure i've noticed it - if you tell them to RTB they should cut you off - but other wise probably a bug -
Trouble installing A6
MigBuster replied to donk05's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
So you cant see the A-6s in the selection fields at all in the game? Have you defo put the files in the right place? - in SF2 they must go in the mod folders - not where the main game files are installed. -
First pictures of Croatian modernized migs
MigBuster replied to Stipe's topic in Military and General Aviation
Test pilot Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, Brigadier John Selak, announced on his Facebook page first photographs Croatian MiG-21 in Ukraine with which these days are doing test flights before final acceptance. According to unofficial information, the maintenance and modernization of all three aircraft will be in Croatia during the celebrations of the Day of the Air Force and Air Defence in December. -

Hello everyone, Things are a little slow, or rather, the progress at this stage is not too apparent. On the Normandy front, the landscape is moving along. We’ve increased the amount of details on the landscape and worked a bit more with the woods. The woods are now a separate single object which makes them both easier to place and a lot easier on performance. We’re also creating a few more stand-in buildings. The design process has us place a lot of blue box stand-ins, simple shapes that denote where the buildings will be, which will later be replaced with detailed buildings of the same dimensions. Replacing blue boxes with these more detailed stand-ins is an intermediary step that allows us to better fine-tune the look of city blocks. The texture is obviously temporary. Once we place a bunch of these together we can experiment with damage modeling and the general aesthetics. On the airplane front, we decided to hold off on screenshots today. When things are unfinished, they just don’t look that great, and while many of you will perhaps call us too pessimistic, we’re just not comfortable with showing these unfinished intermediary steps. The P-47 cockpit is beginning to look rather good. We greatly improved the instrument panel. It’s virtually complete now, and it looks a lot more like the real thing. We had to redo a huge chunk of it compared to the previous screenshots, and the gauges now have the proper bezel as they should on the P-47D-30. We’ll be finishing it up next week and polishing it and inserting it into the game engine the week after that, so hopefully there’ll be something cool to show the Friday Dec 6th. We’re also progressing on the biggest success story of this kickstarter, the Me.262 cockpit. Being what it is, we again want to hold off on showing the very early stage. The modeler making it is the most resistant to showing unfinished work out of everyone working on the project. We’ll see what it looks like next week. Definitely very eager to show you guys what we worked so hard to put into the project! The 109K external is also almost ready to be shown. Again, we made a very hard choice to hold off on those screenshots because we’re going to have something a lot more impressive next week. Anyway, this is where we are across the board so this is slightly painful to write. Hopefully this week is the least amount of screenshots we’ll ever show. Everything is moving along, and as things get closer to completion there’ll be a lot more stuff to show. Especially once we have the 109 visuals in the engine. That’ll begin a very exciting stage for the project. Finally, on the web development front, I know a lot of you are very anxious. This is taking a lot longer than anticipated but the end result will also be a lot more comprehensive than we originally intended. We’re moving along with the backer web functionality and making sure it’s both clear and easy to use. The intended end result will allow all project backers, kickstarter or paypal, to log in to the project site and to see their own personalized management screen. It will show you the exact number of rewards you’re eligible for based on your pledge amount. It will show you the rewards you have currently selected along with their status (shipped, in progress, etc). For any unfulfilled rewards, it will allow you to swap them out or enter additional details. We’re working very hard to make sure it’ll be easy to use and to understand, while also being full-featured and problem free, allowing for example such a range of options and easily specifying user accounts for friends you wish to gift additional licenses to, or specify different shipping addresses for several copies of the same aircraft manual, etc. We’re working extremely hard to have it working as soon as humanly possible, and hopefully we’ll have some screenshots as well as the ETA for the site ready very soon. Thank you for your continued interest in the project!

Looking at the options for the AW 14 are you supposed to have the GT750M or the GTX765M - because neither are picked up above Go start -> type System information into search - go to Components -> display Is either the GT750M or the GTX765M listed in there or does it just list the intel HD 4600?
