Dave need advice on install
MigBuster replied to usafphantom2's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Does the steam version update to 1.2.5? - thought they were only upgrading World and the downloadable modules from now on If you are intending to merge them into DCS world then the only thing you need is a key, and the full DCS world download - you will be ditching standalone versions and using download modules from DCS only from my experience None of your settings can be carried over from what I understand (too many changes to lua file in world) I needed Lock on installed before the FC3 module would run - but once done uninstalled original lock on totally My disk version of DCS A-10C was also totally uninstalled - only the A-10C module download is needed to be installed in World confused?............I know I was -
Well Battlefield 3 is always the first for realistic innovation

Engaging Bombers
MigBuster replied to TeaAndScones's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
The same way you engage bombers in any era - not directly at them if possible - basically lining up behind them has always been suicide. In SF2 you really need a TrackIR IMO then you can do the angles thing a lot better If you are coming in from behind you will need to constantly jink or fly across the formation - you can go vertical and hit them from above and below but again need to be wary where the guns are. Although the bombers have cannon its slow firing at least - but only a few shots will down you -
No simulators and planes that were not that easy to fly = easy death If DCS P-51 is any thing to go by its easy to see why so many died through maybe stalling, engine failure, losing control etc - so many different ways to die!

When the Crusader proved a great success, the Tiger became redundant and was quickly phased out of service. It was an agile aircraft and considered to be easy to fly, a factor which led to its adoption by the Blue Angels.
