Those wingsuits are just nuts

We can leave TK in peace again now so thats good Shame that the OFF guys had to move - and typically it was to SimHQ. Disappointed that SIMHQ closed the 3rdWire Forum because I have not seen a valid reason from them for doing so - its one of the few active and most popular sims currently available - you dont shut down an entire forum because 1 person posts a dodgy link - never happens.

Should be worth the wait - will have a flyable Lebanese Hawker Hunter among the 2 new flyables - and the mission (every mission) will be to destroy as many Comms buildings as possible. Of course at the end of each level you will need to destroy the boss Comms building. Sounds great...... -

+1 for that! SF2, FE2, Falcon Flacon 4.0, DCS A-10 all have aspects about them that they do better than the others do - there is no one super sim. Replacement for SF2 cold war scenario and modding - nothing out there - DCS has a MiG-21bis and nothing else, closest might be Falcon BMS which already has cold war campaigns - the models probably need a bit of paint - but the AI is not as challenging as SF2 in a gun fight. -
What do you think Mirage F1 title will add?
MigBuster replied to Stratos's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I expect that any add on Terrains will be disabled - meaning you have to use only the original stock ones -
Nice little hardware reviews in there too.

Interested in DLC Argentine A-4 's ?
MigBuster replied to Crusader's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Looks like he is changing his strategy to mobile games - while DCS are changing their strategy to one that TW have used for 10 years - it will probably take them 10 years to get any cold war scenarios, terrains, air defences set up though. Flying a MiG-21bis in a single 2012 world is not the same - and leaning all those pit switches! The DLCs are okay - can use them in NA - but he probably should have stuck extended gear on the F-4K. -

Government in U-turn over fighter planes The government has changed its mind over the type of fighter planes it is ordering for the Royal Navy's new aircraft carrier, the BBC has learned. David Cameron has signed off a decision to use the jump-jet variant of the US-built F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, as planned by the Labour government. The coalition had wanted to switch to a variant using "catapults and traps" but costs are believed to have spiralled. The government is expected to make the announcement on Thursday. As part of its defence spending review in 2010, the government decided to "mothball" one of the two aircraft carriers ordered by Labour. This followed a doubling of costs for the project. And the coalition chose not to order the Short Take-Off, Vertical Landing variant of the Joint Strike Fighter, also known as the F-35B, for the carrier that would become operational..................... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-18008171

F-35B was always the best choice IMO.....

The FAA will get the B Stealth Super Harrier - and I don't see an issue with that - as you say JM there is no alternative if you want an effective Fixed wing capability for the future. -
Many congrats on this success story - may it long continue

blimey - Lets hope they all come back okay

My flights are starting off the map...?
MigBuster replied to malibu43's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Was there in WOV years back - is it only armed recon that has the problem? is this only with the A-10A? - Used to get it with ship missions that had no defined areas. Try defining more movement areas in GERMANYCE_MOVEMENT.ini - or check you dont have a really old one in the Terrain folder. -
-
Old news - Might be a problem with the OBOGS system - but a recent investigation during grounding the fleet was unable to pin the actual fault down...apparently.

That was interesting.

Remove version.ini and options.ini and let it put new ones in next time you patch it and see if it makes any difference
