Wow http://courtesyaircraft.com/Current%20Inventory/ZK-JTL%20Cessna%20A-37B.htm BACKGROUND AND RESTORATION: The aircraft was built in 1971 (s/n 71-854) and was part of the last shipment of A-37B’s from the U.S. to Vietnam. The aircraft was obtained from Bein Hoa Airbase in 1991 and shipped to New Zealand where it had a very complete restoration at Ardmore Airfield by Aero Technology. During the restoration, reconditioned engines were obtained from Vietnam and these are the ones currently on the aircraft. During the restoration, the aircraft was paint stripped. New rubber fuel bladders are fitted and a lot of the original but surplus military wiring, radios and armor were removed, along with the heavy anti-flak cockpit padding, which was replaced with a look-alike material. The ejection sets were also disarmed and the ejection hardware removed. The 7.62mm mini-gun was also removed. A New Zealand Certificate of Airworthiness was issued in February 1994 in the Restricted Category- Air Transport not permitted, aerial work and private use, VFR only.

First Production Model F-35B Delivered
MigBuster replied to starfighter2's topic in Military and General Aviation
If someone can upgrade the MiG-21 with a full 360 degree sensor EODAS coverage - good luck with that - and you will still waste your money and end up with a obsolete airframe with no range - with a tiny nose for the radar thanks to sticking the intake at the front (which probably disrupts airflow having it so far forward) - you would be looking at a new airframe as a minimum! As for what it can carry - EODAS - 360 tracking of any object around it - which seems almost like a combat sim on easy! - does the F-22 have such SA - no....and it doesn't need draggy external targeting pods like the legacy jets. And the point was that the F-35 is supposed to fly through airspace denied to A-10s and Harriers - which can fly in when the airspace is safer for them - the A-10C is going to be around for long while yet! I think people take for granted the cutting edge integrated computer systems going into this bird - like any computer system there will be bugs to be ironed out - but given a few years it will be solid - these things take time. One cool thing I saw in a Grumman paper on Laser weapons was replacing the lift fan in the B at some point with a solid state laser - introducing a new form of DEAD - whereby a single F-35B protects the strikers by just shooting down advanced SAMs in the air - well maybe one for the future -
For all you hard workers..who are fed up with your Boss

Aircraft carrier and Lag
MigBuster replied to manizaeim's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
1. One way reduce the effects in the game options - or reduce some of the other graphics settings. 2. Only works for scripted custom single missions - might be some in the download section you can use -
Great to hear its turned out alright for you - (well apart from the having to go back to work bit I suspect)

Changing/Redesigning the boxtype?
MigBuster replied to ShinKazama88's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
They can be manipulated in the HUDDATA.ini - but not sure you could get the shape you require? Can you try BoxType=CIRCLE If not you would need to locate any image files being used here and replace them - but its possible that the game just draws them at run time as they are basic shapes. Problems with weapon editor
MigBuster replied to Icterio's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
You might not have the correct weapons editor for the version of game you have installed What patch level of WOE are you playing? (i.e. Aug 2008?) What Operating System are you using? -
Worst Air Accident in New Zealand since 1979

Just terrible! -
Brilliant switched the AC off my iPhone about a week after getting it - a very poorly implemented feature

Well you used them and you got good service - so at least you got some value from it - that's not always the case with warranties - sometimes they aren't worth the paper they are written on when something goes wrong. I never buy warranties or similar unless there is a good reason - so would never get one for a PC because I can just fix it myself - but for a massive Fridge freezer its good to know that they will come and replace it for me without the hassle.

haha - don't leave the microphone on! - bet that talk sounded more impressive flying an F-16! Hope you didn't tell him he can be your wingman anytime haha - maybe your next competition question could be who comes up with the best Top Gun 2 catchphrase!
-
Fine - but you screw up just this much - you'll be flying a cargo plane full of rubber Eels out of Iran!

Or is it because you are Dangerous?

Well he needs 100+ days leave after every mission - those girls in Tahiti get lonely! -
Happy new year to you! Strange I spent most of last Thursday / Friday moaning about having to be in work - guess I had nothing to moan about compared to you. Although that diet seems more preferable to going to the sodding gym Hope it turns out okay

SEAD
MigBuster replied to skwabie's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Should do - but depends - if you destroy a SAM site and then your next mission after that is a week later then it will probably be there again.
