After update to June no add-on aircraft from XP2.1 selectable
MigBuster replied to stingray77's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Can you just run through this please (2.3 and 2.4 ) to check that the changes you made when changing the jet or skin are correct: http://combatace.com/topic/44798-adding-aircraft-to-campaigns-in-sf2/ -

MigBuster replied to stingray77's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
If everything is in single missions okay - there is something up with the specific campaign files - without more info. If you have added the jets to squadrons in the campaigns_data.ini - are they in their correct corresponding entries in the campaigns .ini file? -
Latest patch is 1.013 Check the list of threads here - this has come up a few times - there are a few things yo may need to do in Win7.....Hope it still works in Win8

Before reinstalling SF did you make a copy of your mod folders and then move them back in? Sorry you reinstalled Windows XP as well?? -
Saw it yesterday in 3D at the flicks, no Pink Floyd are not in it - good if you like massive (on a massive scale) special effects, more of the same, blatent advertising and a new British model to replace Megan Fox http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sb8uD6go6iU&feature=player_detailpage

Yes she looks good - in fact looking good might be the limits of what she can do

Restarting in WoE
MigBuster replied to LeadZeppelin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Look at 20 and 23 on here - applies to SF1 and SF2 http://combatace.com/topic/44026-converting-older-planes-to-work-in-sf2-a-basic-guide-by-migbuster/ also try searching for old threads because I'm sure the AIM-54 issue has come up quite a few times. -
In SF there are many jets, so eventually you get interested in it again for whatever reason, maybe its reading about it, or from web documentaries. Even adding the F-100A/C was enough to get me interested in the 1956 campaign amd start getting information on them - its also very challenging - especially after a break because it doesnt take log to get out of practise.

Weird campaign ordnance problem
MigBuster replied to AntEater's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
You shouldnt have to - and other would have noticed by now. Are the weapons in question in your weapons folder in the SF2 plug and play format, or are they still just in Weapons as a mess of files? Can you also check all the dates in the campaigns data.ini file -

What nation are you flying as? Looking like either a nation or a date issue -
Weird campaign ordnance problem
MigBuster replied to AntEater's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Campaigns usually have limited weapons (if you select Limited)- if you look in the campaigns data.ini see if each squadron has a defined set of weapons. -

Yeah thats not my High Res set because I can see loads of mistakes on that skin Heres the US ones - the NATO ones (all have specific decals and numbering) are about in the SF2 download section also...... http://combatace.com/files/file/10778-pack-4-hi-res-f-16a-usaf/ I'm not going to bother making a complete F-16A aircraft tweak with these because the ini files are out of date at the next patch. -
Questions
MigBuster replied to JaguarXK's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Make sure the folders are at the right e.g level C:\....\SF\Objects\Aircraft\MiG-21MF Have you added any other jets and do they work okay? -
MODS after June Patch
MigBuster replied to FLOGGER23's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Are you merged? Try putting a new options.ini and version.ini into the folders for the Mods not working.(saving the old ones of course). failing that you might have to create new exes for those 2 - remembering to backup the existing mod folders! -
it is possible - probably down to programming though it cant detect certain approaches.

Might be something here too http://combatace.com/topic/43234-how-to-make-a-sf2-aircraftweapon-useable-in-gen-1-thirdwire-sims/ Dont think I have ever resorted to reinstalling the game - if a Mod inst happening there is something you haven't done.
