  1. Graphics question

Could be the PSUs not powerful enough - Check the specs for the graphics card and see what PSU it needs.
  2. This weeks Ho Lee Crap moment

Jeez - great flying to get that down - not sure I would have got that down in SF2!
  3. Great article - hopefully useful to other newbies
  4. It stands to reason that TW only want the skins relevant to a standalone SF2E install going into the folders. If you want the others you probably have to extract them - but best to check with TW I would say.
  5. Only have a merged install now so get all the skins. That might be something TW have changed - do the Soviets actually use other skins in any of the campaigns? You may need to manually extract other skins if you want to use them now
  6. Is that a standalone install - or is it merged with other games?
  7. The "I'm not going to watch the wedding" thread

She is truly hot - the first for a Royal IMO - glad to see they have changed their inbreeding policy in recent years. How many series of that did they do? we only got 2 series of the original and an Xmas special - pah
  8. The "I'm not going to watch the wedding" thread

Makes 2 - dont worry I cant imagine the majority of the UK gives a toss - but it was nice they gave us the day off. Was in a comedy club last week and they asked if anyone was going to watch it - total silence - obviously I suspect some might watch it - its just not very cool to admit such a thing
  9. Sony PS3 customers watch out!

interesting - IF that is actually the conversation between the actual hackers then it shows they seem to have a lot of knowledge in certain technical areas and spend a lot of time monitoring network protocols in their spare time. Potentially Sony have not implemented the basics - I have seen worse from other companies though - and yes determined enough groups can find ways around security measures even if it means getting on the inside!
  10. Viewlist.ini is one file that can be changed - you using TIR?
  11. For guns try attacking from above or below - if they are cannon shells it should rip it apart - although if its well armoured in the rear that could be the issue. Look in its data.ini for any armour entries and reduce or remove them. You will need to experiment - although it has a proximity fuse a good hit with an AIM-9P would cause terrible damage (especially to an engine) - not to say it couldn't keep flying in rare cases. One thing to note is that a lot of the heat seeking missiles in this game often go for the rear fuselage and not the heat source - if say from example the engines are wing mounted which is a tad annoying. btw - bigger missiles do more damage because they have bigger warheads
  12. Stumbled onto this movie tonight

Never heard of it - its not even on amazon!
  13. Voyager

from http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13125047 The largest RAF aircraft in history has arrived in the UK for the first time. The new tanker and transport plane - named the Voyager - is almost 60m (197ft) long and has a 60m wingspan. It is twice the size of a Lancaster bomber and will replace the VC-10 and Tristar aircraft. The RAF has bought 14 Voyagers and the first is expected to be in service by the end of the year. The plane arrived at the MoD's airfield at Boscombe Down, Wiltshire, where further trials will be carried out. It flew in from Airbus Industrie's factory near Madrid in Spain. The Voyager, a converted Airbus A330-200 airliner, can carry 291 troops for more than 6,000 miles (9,600km). RAF Voyager aircraft arriving in UK The new Voyager is twice the size of a Lancaster bomber It can refuel another aircraft in the air with 100,000 litres of fuel, more than the amount contained by two large petrol tankers. The Ministry of Defence said it can refuel at a rate of 5,000 litres per minute, compared with a pump at a garage that delivers fuel at 40 litres per minute. 'Important milestone' Peter Luff, Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology, said: "The arrival of the first Voyager aircraft in the UK marks an important milestone in the process that will see the Royal Air Force equipped with the best available air-to-air refuelling capability, with the first due in service by the end of the year. "Recent events in Libya and ongoing requirement for air-to-air refuelling over Afghanistan clearly demonstrate the essential role that air-to-air refuelling plays in getting our aircraft to where they are needed." Fourteen Voyager aircraft are being provided to the RAF under a 27-year, £10.5bn private finance initiative contract signed with the AirTanker consortium in 2008. The plane and its parts are being manufactured and assembled in France, Germany, Spain and the UK. One of the Voyagers arrived at Boscombe Down on Monday, and two of the planes will be based there during an intensive programme of testing that will continue into next year. Air Vice Marshal Phil Osborn, Air Officer Commanding 2 Group, said: "Over the next few years the Voyager will join the versatile A400M transport, C-17 strategic airlifter and well-proven Hercules transport aircraft to form an RAF fleet that can handle any task that comes its way in the future. "I look forward to a successful trials programme that will keep the aircraft on track for delivery at the earliest opportunity." The arrival of the Voyager comes as the armed forces face budget cuts and job losses over the next four years. Under the strategic defence review announced last year, the RAF is to lose 5,000 jobs, with 1,020 going by September. In addition, the Harrier jump jet and Nimrod reconnaissance planes will be scrapped, and some air force bases will close.
  14. The model would need to be in a format that can be converted to the format that works in SF - assuming the original author will allow it.
  15. Can you not just add more static locations to the airfield - ie like the ones that define where the parked aircraft go by the tents?
  16. I don't seem to have - GIMP lists the hexadecimal value and Paint lists the 8 bit decimal value for R/ G/ B which I would expect. As for what TK uses there they could be a relative measure of each RGB decimal value - but not sure at the mo. Hopefully there is a program out there - if not writing something just to do that would be easy - no time to do it at the mo.
  17. and Derks' BD too!
