  1. ODD WIP

Interesting - The wiki gives it a fair account - where as everything else just says it was pants. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boulton_Paul_Defiant Has there ever been a 3D one though? Good work on the model though V2k
  2. No kill like a..... missile kill

From what I have read we have it easy - with the real AIM-4 once you had set the coolant running - which took about 4.5 seconds to cool the seeker - you then had to launch it before the coolant ran out....
  3. It was real but never put into production http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_F-107
  4. Falcon 4.0 Versions and mods

Not sure myself - but it sounds like an acronym for a mod from many many years ago for the original Falcon 4.0
  5. That looks totally fantastic even at that stage! congratulations
  6. OMG........It's

    Many happy returns Wrench

  11. WINDOWS 7 32 bit upgrade to 64 Bit ?

Veltro - if you could post your specs - In my experience you need a 64 bit multicore CPU as a minimum I would say to ensure its not sluggish. In theory a 64bit CPU should blitz a 32 bit one - but the reality depends on many different factors.
  12. Happy Easter

Happy Easter and compliments of the stuffing my face with chocolate season.
  13. Be prepared...a long post this one is

Not a WW1 fan myself although have picked a few bits up - not sure there are any vets left alive tbh The SPAD XIII 220hp is very fast and was a mount of many aces - although the Sopwith Camel is much more agile and shot down the most enemy airplanes in the real thing Ive read. Depends on the patch but it used to be very easy to spin the SPAD out of control - last time I played you could actually recover it though. Prepare to die many times whatever you choose - and there are just so many ways to die in those flying box kites!
  14. You mean Strike Fighters 2: Europe? No Trim in 2nd series - although there was a trim workaround a few years back anyway differences - has been coved a few hundred times - but the file structure has changed a lot - so it can work with Vista/Win7 properly. New RWR avionics - new 3D models and skins in most cases - and the cockpits are reworked high res/poly. A few new features - like being able to save a mission just flown. If you like multiplayer - it had to be taken out due to some changes by MS If you have WOE already then you might want to try another one like SF2I
  15. Yeah they seem to be stable so far
  16. Make sure the weapons files are in .....\objects\weapons\ You might actually have the right editor for that version - make sure in the "weapons" folder there is a weaponsdata.ini and a weapondata.dat These 2 files must be in ..\objects\weapons\ only - make sure you dont have copies elsewhere in the files structure.
  17. Anybody read this yet?

Yes I have that and the new Israeli A-4 book its a pretty good buy if you like this series.
  18. Just a thought quack

Im hoping its the same as section 2 here in regards to decals http://forum.combatace.com/topic/44026-converting-older-planes-to-work-in-sf2-a-basic-guide-by-migbuster/
  19. What version of WOE are you running? - will tell you on the bottom right hand corner of the main screen. At a guess I would say you are using the wrong weapons editor.
  20. RIAT 2010

Ive never seen either the MiG-21 or F-22 in real life yet so hopefully it should be a good one - and hopefully will be a bit less rain as well this time. I assume both will be there on the Saturday and Sunday - think I might check that
  21. P4 and beyond

No I was thinking of getting a HD5770 mid range DX 11 card - but have seen a lot of people with problems on the net using it with Win 7 64 so have been holding off to see if ATI cards have a general problem. Have always gone NVIDIA in the past but have seen comments that they handle shimmering better in F4AF - and the knee map might not be corrupted (wishful thinking I know) - so wondered if you had any issues you have with ATI. The card that came with my new system was a low end GT220 which was causing BSODs all over the place - not really an issue as I was going to get a GTX260 or similar - am currently having to run with a GeForce7600 - which seems as good as the GT220 anyway - but works
