  1. The Ajeet is on here - you may have to upgrade it to sf2 yourself http://marcfighters.combatace.com/Aircrafts.htm
  2. But it worked before the patch?? How far does it get? You have the latest version of DX9 as well as DX10??? - because im not sure the correct DX9 came with Vista.

  6. Russian Speakers?

A job for GrrrrrViper probably OMG the russians have got hold of an F-22 photo - how
  7. Bombs

Paveways - your jet must take a laser targetting pod if it doesnt have an internal one. Get to the target, press E to target, then fire Make sure the bomb has enough energy to get to the target. Unguided bombs - see here: http://www.simhq.com/_air/air_055a.html
  8. That's an absolute tragedy and only 36 - I'm lost for words!! To have that happen to anyone let alone one of the greats of this community is just terrible. Rest In Peace BPAO your talent will be sorely missed by this world community.
  9. SF2 Israel

    See section 1 here: http://forum.combatace.com/topic/44026-converting-older-planes-to-work-in-sf2-a-basic-guide-by-migbuster/
  10. WOE has no F-16 files in it - so to move over the stock Netz you need to extract all 114 files and the decal files - they all need to go into Aircraft\F-16ANetz and Aircraft\F-16ANetz\cockpit For your additional info - it sounds like you were using AIM-7s at low level and incorrectly - either that or you dont understand that a radar lock can only be used with AIM-7/AIM-120 types - NOT AIM-9s
  11. Cool will try it out tomorrow With version Oct 2009 - If you are missing HUD symbology for missiles on modern 3rd party jets like I was (Tornado F3/MiG-29s/FA-18 etc)then you may need to add some new code to the xxx_avionics.ini [HUD] HUDMaterial=HUDMaterial <--------- add this HUDColor=0.36,1.0,0.82,0.7 BoresightOffset=0.0,0.00 ViewportTopLeft=-0.140,-0.195 And all of this below the [HUD] section [HUDMaterial] EffectShaderName=fltHUD.fx DepthBufferCheck=FALSE DepthBufferWrite=FALSE RenderedInOrder=FALSE AlphaTestEnabled=TRUE CullMode=NO_CULL LightEnabled=FALSE UseLightLevel=FALSE SpecularEnabled=FALSE EmissiveEnabled=FALSE FogEnabled=FALSE AmbientColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 DiffuseColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 ZBufferOffset=0 PriorityLevel=1 BlendOp=BLEND_SRC_ALPHA NumTextureStages=1 TextureStage[01].TextureName= TextureStage[01].MipMap=FALSE TextureStage[01].FilterEnabled=TRUE TextureStage[01].StageColorOp=TEXTURE_MODULATE_DIFFUSE TextureStage[01].StageAlphaOp=TEXTURE_MODULATE_DIFFUSE then save
  12. File Name: B-57G Tropic Moon III File Submitter: MigBuster File Submitted: 13 July 2009 File Category: B-57 Canberra B-57G for "Strike Fighters 2: Vietnam" by Ahmed Junaid Raza New Avionics and TV by MiGBuster USAF2 Tropic Moon skin by MiGBuster READ the instructions - includes how to use the TV/FLIR etc 16 B-57Bs were converted to B-57G standard and used in Vietnam from 1970 to 1972 flying from Tailand for the Tropic Moon III project, and was a pioneer in laser guided technology. The B-57G had built in sensors such as a low light TV system, FLIR, and a laser giudance system. This enabled it to carry 4 x 500lb Laser guided bombs and self designate targets for them. The 20mm wing cannons were deleted due to the weight of the LGBs. 4 bombs were also carried in the bomb bay (unconfirmed). Its mission was to hunt trucks over the notorious Ho Chi Minh Trail. 13. 1. The Huddata.ini must go in the correct folder for it to work - for the location of that see step 1 on here.http://forum.combatace.com/topic/44026-converting-older-planes-to-work-in-sf2-a-basic-guide-by-migbuster/ 2. NO NO NO to importing old ini files over - you are basically overwriting the new one. Really you should extract the new HUDDATA.ini from SF2I and make the relevant changes to that.
  14. Not sure - where is your common mod folder? Are you running the games from individual exes? Are you defo running version Oct 2009?
  15. So much for the add on terrains even my payware one doesn't work - managed to induce a few grey tiles by putting some files to uppercase. Is this something to do with how the TOD files have been saved? looks like some might have different names now also. Until sorted - I would advise that if you like your terrains keep your merged SF2/SF2V/SF2E at Jun09 and install SF2I (Oct09) separately - if not - hey the runway mod still works!
  16. Did you see section 2 here http://forum.combatace.com/topic/44026-converting-older-planes-to-work-in-sf2-a-basic-guide-by-migbuster/ If you are on GIMP to save TGAs you need to untick the two boxes (RLE compresion etc ) when you save it - only do a save as
  17. Its probably trying to use a texture thats in one of the first gen games and has been taken out of the second gen games so the pit cant find it. Someone with that pit and a lod editor may be able to find the texture name so you can add one in.
  18. These might be new also MiG-21S MiG-21SM MiG-21BisB
  19. Ace - will check it out only £12.55 for 616MB of goodness!
  20. The Green Hornet

Cool - we might get green ICBMs - just think how much better for the planet that will be Silverbolt - true to most current green transport - I would rather gouge out my eyes than look at that plane!!
  21. Someone posted a similar problem at 3rd Wires site so maybe worth checking there - although looking above it looks like you have totally screwed up the install - how do you have the SF 2 Vietnam folder in the First Eagles Folder? Firstly the only 2 games you have that can be merged are WOV and WOE - although my advice is don't bother. Uninstall the whole lot, remove the folders manually - then when you reinstall each game must go to a different location. It Doesnt matter what order you install them in without merging WOV and WOE - but you should end up with something like: Program Files / Thirdwire / First Eagles / Program Files / Thirdwire / SF2 Vietnam / Program Files / Wings Over Europe / Program Files / Wings Over Vietnam /
  22. AIM-120 on Hornet wingtips?

Cool - thanks for that info - very useful
  23. $57 Million Apartment

Jeez - he must be confident in the market! - whats its real value though? $ 1.5 million maybe
  24. LOL Its not that bad - FCs a jet pilot so tends to know a fair bit about these things. I think 331Killerbee worked on the Harriers for years - and from what I remember, one reason they don't take off Vertically with much of a load is also because of the amount of water required according to him. Also warmer climates mean less engine thrust - for example - in the Falklands the temperature may have been cold enough to allow for max engine performance.
  25. I assume you have WOV and WOE at the latest patched version (Oct 08 I think)- if not the newer avionics in WOI wont work in WOV/WOE!! Firstly use the newer catpack extractor which will extract everything from a cat file. You can then just copy over the bits you need. http://forum.combatace.com/topic/44027-extracting-files-from-sf2-series-cat-files-by-migbuster/ The bmp/tga files for the cockpit and avionics go in a "Cockpit" folder within the jets folder. however the cockpit.ini /avionics.ini file will sit in the main jets folder.
