  1. I think ive used all F-4 variants so far and havent seen this Which version of the F-4B does this happen on? What difficulty level are you playing on?
  2. Unable to upload pictures

I think Posting will automatically move you onto other levels actually. Some titles you see are because a person has subscribed. Others are only awarded http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=46817
  3. Husband Down!

    hahaha
  4. TK will no doubt sort the issue out as soon as he can - may even be in the next patch. Not sure you could get better service than that tbh. My advice would be - don't merge your games until the patch is out. And as for Quality Control you really haven't got the first clue about software development or anything have you! - considering the size of the operation he does miracles.
  5. Thats cool - YAP had one as well - obviously for YAP owners only though
  6. I'm pretty sure it doesn't tbh - at least I havent found one. Do you get any messages when it crashes? If you are playing on a recent patch (which I hope you are) the crash is almost certainly down to a mod. Have you added any mods recently? Did any of those mods include old ini or dll files that are now overiding the games newer ones? Are you using the correct weapons editor to compile the weapondata.ini?
  7. Attention! MSgt Nesher ready for your orders!

    Excellent - well done Nesher
  8. You should leave the exe where it is - just create a shortcut to it and put that on the desktop
  9. Racism - the One-way street...

The whole thing sounds truly pathetic - but what else do you expect from politicians. They use the the word racist to put down people who don't agree with them because they know that the majority of sheep will join them shouting racist racist racist at the person without even thinking. Sounds like when people used to be brandished as a Witch centuries back - Great to see nothings changed really.
  10. Make a copy of the exe - keep it in the main SF2 install folder with the other exes rename it to daddy1.exe for example double click it to run the game - then exit go to your mod folders there will be a new one called daddy1
  11. Do you mean the timing between each bomb dropping? You can change the amount of bombs that fall at a time in game using the [ key to toggle through the amounts. To change the timing between bomb drops its the ] key in game.
  12. Rogue Reaper Reaps

Even with a different system they would still have to iron out a few thousand bugs like this one - and even then doesn't guarantee they wont lose control of it at some point. I thought the thing was supposed to revert to a default course if it lost contact?
  13. Hi!

Sounds familiar - Was that the Fast Show??
  14. Air Parade @ Brasilia /09/07/2009

  15. Happy Birthday hrntfixr

    Happy Birthday to you
  16. Kanye West = Jerk

Kanye apologised this morning apparently - made himself look like a right arrogant Muppet - which I'm sure he's not http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8253909.stm You wouldnt think Taylor Swift would be that bothered - lets face it she probably saw more talent than Kanye West when she last blew her nose.
  17. FRAPs is one program you can use
  18. Terrible news - such a shame BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/8253465.stm
  19. Happy Birthday Migbuster

Awww thanks guys - that has made my day more than anything
  20. Dinner?

  21. Yes WOE is not officially supported for Vista - which is why there is now SF2:E The best thing to do in your case is you need to install the latest Patch for WOE (Oct 2008) from Thirdwires site. Only patch over a clean install with no mods If for some reason you cant patch it there is a Vista fix thread in the knowledgebase for it
  22. Alan Turing - a tragic tale

I'm not sure who has really heard of Alan Turing on here - but today the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on behalf of the Government has apologised for the way he was treated after World War 2. Alan Turing was a mathematician who's work and seminal papers have him labelled as a father of modern AI and a pioneer in computing in some texts. During World War 2 he headed up a team a Bletchley Park that was responsible for breaking the German Enigma codes. After the war they found out he was gay, so effectively sacked him and as a "cure" is said to have been given an experimental chemical castration treatment!! Anyway 2 years later he killed himself - although tbh the government of the time had managed to do that anyway - truly sad. from: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8249792.stm PM apology after Turing petition Gordon Brown has said he is sorry for the "appalling" way World War II code-breaker Alan Turing was treated for being gay. A petition on the No 10 website had called for a posthumous government apology to the computer pioneer. In 1952 Turing was prosecuted for gross indecency after admitting a sexual relationship with a man. Two years later he killed himself. The campaign was the idea of computer scientist John Graham-Cumming. He was seeking an apology for the way the mathematician was treated after his conviction. He also wrote to the Queen to ask for Turing to be awarded a posthumous knighthood. The campaign was backed by Ian McEwan, scientist Richard Dawkins and gay-rights campaigner Peter Tatchell. The petition posted on the Downing Street website attracted thousands of signatures. Mr Brown, writing in the Telegraph newspaper, said: "While Mr Turing was dealt with under the law of the time and we can't put the clock back, his treatment was of course utterly unfair and I am pleased to have the chance to say how deeply sorry I and we all are for what happened to him." National legacy He said Mr Turing deserved recognition for his contribution to humankind. In the statement he said: "So on behalf of the British government, and all those who live freely thanks to Alan's work I am very proud to say: we're sorry, you deserved so much better." Mr Turing's three nieces said they were "delighted" and "very glad" to see the injustice recognised. It's fantastic there has been an apology, says Dr Sue Black of Saving Bletchley Park Welcoming Mr Brown's move, Peter Tatchell of gay rights group Outrage! said a similar apology is also due to the estimated 100,000 British men who suffered similar treatment. "Singling out Turing just because he is famous is wrong", he said. Alan Turing was given experimental chemical castration as a "treatment" and his security privileges were removed, meaning he could not continue to work for the UK Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ). He is most famous for his code-breaking work at Bletchley Park during WWII, helping to create the Bombe that cracked messages enciphered with the German Enigma machines. However, he also made significant contributions to the emerging fields of artificial intelligence and computing. In 1936 he established the conceptual and philosophical basis for the rise of computers in a seminal paper called On Computable Numbers and in 1950 he devised a test to measure the intelligence of a machine. Today it is known as the Turing Test. After the war he worked at many institutions including the University of Manchester, where he worked on the Manchester Mark 1, one of the first recognisable modern computers. There is a memorial statue of him in Manchester's Sackville Gardens which was unveiled in 2001.
  23. Alan Turing - a tragic tale

The guy was a genius and obviously had a big hand in shaping today's society. To think they couldn't let something as pathetic as that drop for one of our finest minds and a war hero - just shocking. IMO an apology is the least they could do even though its too late. The quote above from Peter Tatchell annoys me a bit tbh "Singling out Turing just because he is famous is wrong" wtf - there is 'famous' for this guy who made some real changes to the world - then theres 'famous' for a film star that....um acts a bit...sometimes - just NOT the word to use!!.
