No the Judges dont often live in the real world - that seems to be a major flaw!! - although they are no doubt bound by ridiculous laws designed to appease PC tw@s - and im really not sure who invited them to have a say because they really get my back up - the way they sympathise with all crims and terrorists - to the point the victim comes worse off - thats not supposed to happen ever!!! Makes you wonder if they would agree with their laws if they suffered a similar fate - of course not! they would be jumping up and down shouting kill kill kill - cos they are human.....

We are totally closed today even im not going in - 5 inches of snow on the road - WHAT - spent 5 hours shoveling the stuff this morning!!

Can understand why your upset - yep it seems that punishment defo doesnt fit the crime - and basically it looks like they can stick 2 fingers up and do it to another girl - a real sad case - surely an appeal must be going in?? Maybe you can take it to the press as well because if thats true its pretty poor. Of course the issue is here - we cant do JS to minors aka kids like them but i would have expected them to be locked up under evaluation at least - IMO we all know they are old enough to take responsibility for that end of. How good are tags anyway? - are they easy to remove?

Star Wars 4-6 = all time classics for all Star Wars 1-3 = no 3 was good - but the other 2 were just PANTS!! Star Trek films = mostly good Star Trek TV - Original and NG bearable - others = big no - The hologram doctor in Voyager seems to be the most charismatic of the entire crew!! - and if the future really is a communist utopian fantasy where dullards work only for the greater good then seeya!! New Battlestar Gallactica = is the new King - very human, edge of seat gritty action Red Dwarf = very funny in its day Hyperdrive = didnt get it, didnt laugh either Space: Above and Beyond = pretty good back then - havnt seen it for over 10 years though

-
Yah - we were told to take the afternoon off work and go home early because of a severe weather warning :) The snow on my car was about 4 inches thick this morning - and its been snowing heavily all day here in sunny Milton Keynes - Even though the roads were about 3 inches deep my car was ok surprisingly - normally the traction control gets confused and wont let me go anywhere lol the press is making a big thing of it because its the south thats affected - no one cares about the north lol imagine its buried under snow yeah?

SimHQ was my main haunt for this series long before the Modder wars - although Biohaz/CA was the main TW Mod download site so I joined up pretty much straight away. After the aforementioned the main core of the community moved onto here - thus combining the downloads with the people and creating a proper home for the Thirdwire Series - where better control could be maintained against the evil rivet counters :) And long may it stay here!

My Thoughts

Well said Dave cheers to you and the very helpful crowd that frequents the forum - the sim would be not short of nothing without you all. -
Uber AI Mod
MigBuster replied to MaverickMike's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
One thing that gets me with the new AI is when the flight of F-4Es im escorting get locked up by SAMs - no surprise flying at 5000ft they then jettison their bombs - then they all fly off in different directions after any surrounding Migs lol - come back!!! and yes have noticed that my AI wingmen on Hard level get blow out of the sky unless they have good missiles - even then an F-16A wingman got outturned by a MiG-21! then preceded to fly in a straight line with it sitting on his A Apart from that the AI is now much better - wish they could terrain mask properly though! -
Never flew it myself but a bit of a shock still - even MS is feeling the downturn and another one bites the dust!! 1982 - 2009 - Rest In Pieces No doubt someone will try to keep it going independently
-
Welcome to CA - yeah F4 has a very long learning curve - in fact you probably never stop learning haha The thirdwire sims are a lot easier to get into for people with limited time and a love of 50s / 60s/ 70s Jet warfare

Fighter Ops - Development update
MigBuster replied to phant's topic in General Flight Sim Discussion
I Expect SF3 will be out before this sim for Windows 7 lol You would think they could come up with something better than a few lines regarding policy changes! anyway will have to wait and see on this one. -

Can the AI wingmen "bobbing" be reduced?
MigBuster replied to MetalMania's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
The planes bob? when? -
Sound advice - thinking about avoiding missiles from close range was no doubt fine for "Iceman" faced with naff exported AA-2s - but with modern missiles in this sim is a big NO! They rarely miss - and faced with 2 or more close in bandits with missiles you are dead even if you know where they all are! - the flares in the sim are useless and probably not as good as they should be against the older IR missile types!

Your Favorite Third Wire Sim and Why?
MigBuster replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
WOI - great Terrain - great stock campaigns - great jets - just a few mods needed out of the box to make it brilliant for the first time I am prefering the campaigns more than single missions!
