Are you getting the Original Falcon 4.0 or Falcon 4:Allied Force? I only have Falcon4:AF so will tell you that it comes with a nice big manual in pdf form - that you are advised to print off if you can do. Work through the training missions first to get a feel of it all - and once you have been through training the manual seems a bit more understandable :) Once you have played it a bit there are several forums where you can pick up good advice on how to play the game, how ECM really works and how to avoid missiles/SAMs etc (the manual won't help you with this!). fruglsworld has loads of useful stuff also.

I have read of several ways to do it but its not that straight forward - I have seen some recent threads at frugals world on this so my advice is to go there and read up on it.

Not too sure about the Pony thing anyway... Which prototype of a pretty famous fighter plane used a Rolls-Royce Kestrel VI (695hp) engine? -
I dont think anyone has implied that Russia has an F-22 have they? We import loads of things from China - though its more to do with cheaper cost than having any dependency on a single country. and I think currently an ICBM would quite happily disagree with any countries economy by wiping it out regardless.
-
Yes I think so - saw something that said it may not be wise to contact them face to face because they may not be immune to things like the common cold etc
-
So does air superiority balance out power or is it more to do with economies now? Personally I think the balance of power these days is more down to nuclear weapons - look at Russia - economy aint the best - and as far as Air superiority goes they have a model of an F-22 with red stars on the wing - however they can wipe any nation they like of the planet with the press of a button. ok back OT

Well should be fun starting from scratch - wouldnt go to far with WOE/WOV because new patches are out soon apparently to bring them up to WOI level and you may be starting from scratch again shortly :close_tema: My WOE install has so many man hours of mods in it that I back up the entire game now every now and then. -

It sure was - congrats Only really know about the Invader because it was used over SEA strangely enough! -
Well I said for the time being - that doesnt mean that they wont export them after they have been around a while. The F-15s and 16s were exported within a couple of years of them coming into US service it appears - although back then the obvious threats consisted of current Soviet hardware (aka Mig-23). Reasons why the F-22 is being held (nearly 3 years service) are not clear although one thing that is: Billions spent on development - and the funds for developing future replacements may not be as forthcoming as they once were. Why should they "give away" guaranteed air superiority over any nation on the planet that easily? It might be different if Iran had squadrons of stealth F-5 shakarakas (or whatever) and yes they may have S-300 SAMs alledgedly but these will be defending their nuclear facilities (maybe) and no threat to Israel at the moment You might be right and end up with a few next year - in which case I will eat my hat
-
Surely they can do that by pushing more F-35 and F-16 sales through
-
Cant see the F-22 being exported for the time being - US would be stupid to do so IMO.

How to add a new weapon in WOI
MigBuster replied to Magg. Sputnik's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Once you added the code to "weapondata.ini" did you then open that file with the Weapons editor?. You should see the newly added weapon in the weapons editor - you then need to hit the "Save" button which is the important part - this will then create a new weapondata.dat. Both weapondata.ini and weapondata.dat should be in \Objects\Weapons -
am speechless with utmost respect - bet many wonder if they could do that.

Have you added any mods/tweaks to your installation from here? if so try the following: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=12148 -
The poor old Mig-29 never gets any good press - now the embarassment of being shot down by some rebels! Nothing new about Russian pilots partaking in somebody elses war though.

Afraid its your system thats the issue here not the game. Have you tried running a direct X diagnostic (start->run then type in dxdiag ) and see if it picks anything up. Try setting all the graphics options to their lowest level and see if anything improves - then work from there. Also it may be worth seeing if another version of the driver for your graphics acard is a available to try. -
ha ha nice vid

Now now everyone to their own - nothing wrong with playing a few games now and then Unfortunately my gaming collection only consists of the TW series and F4 so im not one to comment but I do realise the experiences they provide can be very powerful and far in excess of films due to the fact that its interactive and you are using your brain. besides I bet you spend ages talking about films like Bridget Jones when you are out supposedly living life to the full

Have you tried changing the Attachment type in the f-18c_data.ini? [RightWingStation2] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=2 StationGroupID=1 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition= 2.71,-0.86,-0.27 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=294.84 AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,RP,IRM AttachmentType=NATO,UK,USN <-------------------------- ModelNodeName=Pylon_Outer_R PylonMass=91.17 PylonDragArea=0.05 LaunchRailNodeName=AIM9_rail_R LaunchRailHeight=0.12 LaunchRailMass=25 -
Battlefield Vietnam: Dont have it anymore - but one of the battlefields (maybe Hue) had a NVA propagander woman on a radio system somewhere telling me we were all going to die - lot more disturbing than it sounds!. WOV + YAP: Any A-1 Skyraider mission is not far off suicide in my case - especially the one where that bloke lands to pick up his mate! (it looked easy in Iron Eagle but alas no Hades bomb in Nam ) First Eagles: Every other mission is suicide in my case - what the - if the real thing was anything like that!! :close_tema: Falcon 4:AF: "Hostile 15 miles out 30,000ft" gets the heart going - as does diving into MANPAD range!
