The AIM-120D wont have the range of the AIM-54C but should have a better PK and the FA-18E/F can carry about 8/10 of them. The F-14D would be a better launch platform only on the basis of its speed - it would also need an upgraded radar to match the SuperHornets one. As for going against an SU - depends on which variant of SU I guess and the support it has.

Well for a start - Have you installed the latest patch? I think the damage moddelling has been changed in that.

I Can't Download
MigBuster replied to charlielima's topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
Hmm not sure where that is then - well you may have to search on some old threads for some of the info - the short version of installing a plane is Download it Extract it to a folder on your desktop Move the actual aircrafts folder (ie F-14B) to .../wov/objects/aircraft/ for example You will see all the othe planes in there so check out how they are arranged if you are not sure. the read me that comes with the plane may have instructions also -

F-4S Phantom weapons/chaff problems
MigBuster replied to Icarus999's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
You changed the AIM-7M in weapondata.ini? - to make any changes to weapons themselves you need to open the weapondata.ini with the Weapons editor and then save it - this creates the required weapondata.dat file. you dont need to reboot for any changes. I wouldnt recommend that though - if your sparrow stations are all set to attachment USN, USAF then there could be a weight or dimensions issue. What year does the AIM-7M go to out of interest - also will assume the nation of the F-4S set to USN? -
Cannot patch digital downloaded version of Falcon Allied Force
MigBuster replied to The Crunge's topic in Falcon 4 Series
The patch on LPs site is 1.0.12 to 1.0.13 - if you see above you may need to get the 1.0.11 to 1.0.12 from D2D first. also see the post from Kirbykern above re the old file issue if the patches dont work. -
Think I would given the chance

The only known fix is to download and install the version on here: https://store.thirdwire.com/store.htm The amazing thing is how they managed to create an unusable image! <retards> :punish2: -

Sorry!
MigBuster replied to Basher11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Merci Gunrunner - I must say that your English is a bit too good - would never have guessed it was a second language! Basher - nothing wrong with being enthusiastic - its good to see really besides everyone has to start somewhere. You will find that a lot can be changed in this series of games, but there are still limits enforced by the games overall design and scope. If you can find a way around these limitations as others have done in the past then good for you - that is part of the fun of modding after all. -

1 Brand new TU-160 enters service
MigBuster replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
Talk about confusing - Seems the TU-22M Backfire is derived from the TU-22 Blinder - how? more like they threw the TU-22 drawing in the bin (but kept the Red stars) and just built an entirely new jet from scratch! -
BVR Combat revisited
MigBuster replied to Basher11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
No2 from a flight not engaging is consistent with my WOE/WOV installs (BVR and WVR) and is something ive put down to the coding and ignored it. Have you asked TK at the TW forums about this? Will add that this happens on occasions only - not all the time - and have noticed that the no 2 of flight2 ect will follow me round regardless of what I press sometimes. -

BVR Combat revisited
MigBuster replied to Basher11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Well there are quite a few from the 50s and 60s also (F-105, F-100, Mig-17, Mig-21, F-4, SU-7, Hawker Hunter) The AIM-54A Phoenix was in service from about 1975 I believe - although its in the weps pack
