Runs fine and is very stable in XP - afraid its something on your system causing the problem. Can you hear any audio when it starts up? if so have you seen this? http://www.simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?...555#Post2345555 Not sure if LP are actually supporting this product anymore tbh

"I occasionally used an intentional departure from controlled flight as a guns defensive move - but only when I had lots of altitude to recover - and only when I had a RIO I trusted not to eject too quickly 'cause he didn't know what I was doing!" Thats amazing - many thanks for contributing on here Wagsled. -

MigBuster replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
IMO there is probably a difference - but that shot of the Mig is something im all to familiar with from Falcon 4 - and I cant see any obvious difference myself. Even the way it moves wobbling its wings is captured in F4 all to well. Also that UAV is really slow (probably <100kts) - so you would expect the Mig to close up pretty quickly. -
How to...
MigBuster replied to lagger123987's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
If you change a jets Nation - you may need to change its weapons pylons to accept another Nations weapon types also (also in the jets data.ini) - if this was the case then the loadout.ini would need to be changed also to reflect the new weapon types. -

Well heres one reason "Tensions are high between Russia and Georgia over Russian support for Abkhazia and another breakaway Georgian region, South Ossetia. Russian and UN peacekeepers have been deployed in the two regions since the early 1990s, when violence erupted as they broke free from Georgian control. Tbilisi believes Moscow is fuelling the separatist conflict in Abkhazia to maintain Russian influence in the region and to damage Georgia's hopes of joining Nato. Georgia has requested a UN Security Council meeting on the issue, due to be held on Wednesday and attended by the country's foreign minister David Bakradze. Georgia's deputy prime minister was in London on Tuesday for meetings with British officials to try and garner international support for his country's position in the row with Russia. Last week, Georgia accused Russia of trying to annex Abkhazia and South Ossetia by deciding to seek closer ties with them. " -

What ca cause..
MigBuster replied to Canadair's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Its almost certainly a mod - trace your steps back if you can. Is it possible you may have added back a modded ini file that originated from an earlier game version to the one you have it patched to? -

MigBuster replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
Superbug is slower - but should have a better range, new airframe and a much lower RCS. In an A-A role ive seen pics with them carrying 10 x AMRAAMs + 2 AIM9s - so if you can afford it. The lower RCS should make it more survivable against SAMs etc. Luckily I expect its going to be a while till any Superhornet users come face to face with any 5th Gen jets anyway - unless Aus declares war on the US for not watching Neighbours - or something -

Flying F-4Es from the most powerful nation on the planet
MigBuster replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
Well if thats all a country has due to embargoes placed on it etc then why not! The suggestion I made about the F-4 was practically done with the F-4F ICE bar the radar - The point you are missing is the avionics and weapons that are the defining factor now - and Iran may still be able to make something very good out of an old thing. -

Dont have any experience of the TE myself - you could try PM'ing some of the terrain authors. or searching for old threads on the subject. -
Flying F-4Es from the most powerful nation on the planet
MigBuster replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
In theory an F-4 with some AIM-120s/R-77s and an AESA type radar would be a lethal opponent - in BVR you need all the kenetic energy you can get and the F-4 certainly can compete on that front. The main (only) disadvantage the F-4 has is its RCS signature and its agility in a "guns only" fight. A HMS should negate a lot of its disadvantage if using an AIM-9x/Python 5 etc for example. Also the age of its airframe could be a factor now in regards to high G turning etc Should add that any stealth fighter flown with proper tactics should take it out - on the basis that the F-4 wont see it. -
Very interesting documentary on the sinking of HMS Coventry (Type 42 Destroyer tasked with Air defence) recommended

How to edit waypoints- help please
MigBuster replied to Fortiesboy's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
You can move some of the waypoints - if I am planning to jump to a point I check the altitude then use the map contours to guess where a low level spot may be - then I move the IP waypoint there.
