  1. Look Our Very Own Jug....

Well I never - it s an honour to have you here Jug
  2. Yes - If you put a campaign in, it will replace or add a lot of files. Put another campaign on top of that and again will replace/add files and screw up the first campaign (and other things). Assuming you only have 1 install: 1. make a copy (dont cut/move it) of your entire current game folder (ie a backup of the entire game) 2. then uninstall your game from add/remove progs 3. Install the game again 4. Put the patches on 5. Make a copy of the entire game folder for the new campaign 6. Dont touch the original install again (use it to make new copies) You should now have 3 installs example c:\.....\Wings Over Vietnam c:\.....\Wings Over Vietnam_Campaign c:\.....\Wings Over Vietnam_Backup You can still play your original game that you backed up - by running it from the exe file in its folder hope that makes sense - it looks difficult - although if you dont try it you wont learn much Another reason to use a copy of the game is that if you screw it up you can just make a new copy ond remove the old one without having to install everything from disk each time!. Well im sure there will be something there soon - problem is - how you intall one is dependent on the campaign! Adding a campaign - well the readme should tell you what to do. Be careful - I saw a campaign last week (original Burning Sands 1983) that had a load of files (dlls) from the version of the game when the mod was created - so copying them over to a game patched to SP4 would mean the game crashed. Basically you needed certain parts of the original - and then all of the parts from the BS1983 update for SP4 (nightmare!)
  3. Ahh we dont need stealth - just buy a stealth plane and make sure its not stealthy - sounds good. Cant wait till we stick in a more powerful engine that reduces the top end to M0.8
  4. Early next year! that may be too late - and I suspect the new FAV SU-30s still have the upper hand anyway.
  5. Havnt tried it - though its not supported - you could see if there are any emulation programs that run on linux out there that can.
  6. IMO keep your games separate if you can + if you install a campaign you should be putting it into a separate/new install again. (see the knowledge base) theres user made campaigns/ missions here http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...&showcat=29 Theres Vietnam 1984 for WOV which may be of interest http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5289 but there are others.
  7. USAF News

Well I would buy more F-22s - that plane is the USAs main fighting edge. Its alright saying get loads of F-35s but a lot of countries around the world will have that soon. They need a new marketing slogan - how about the "Super Raptor"
  8. Planes get old and start crashing - everyone seems to be in the same boat dont they. How frequent Russian planes really crashing is something we probably wont find out - but a lot are going down everywhere it seems regardless! Perhaps someone will design an uncrashable rubber plane. :beta1:
  9. Lets hope that guy got out okay!
  10. The Mig-21 lives on - cant believe they were in production till 2006 How many versions! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-7_Skybolt
  11. Holy f... I was going to have a quick browse at the weekend - people have always blamed Nvidia in the past for all shimmer nastyness - but if this has eliminated it then congratulations!! Dont suppose you could look at Falcon 4AF too CA_Stary - you have to include this fix in v1.1
  12. Great work! - was the shimmering reduced any Norman?
  13. Those SU-30s are selling like Hot cakes mmm
  14. A upcoming South America War?

300 million!!! wow be surprised if Chavez let that go - the amount of SU-30s he could have bought with that. I dont know what to think tbh - dont pay much attention to what the press say - all twisted to suit their own agendas really. Just hope they dont go to war really Dont know if the FAV got all their SUs yet - they have a few good old F-16s left
  15. The RPG (Rocket propelled Grenade) is unguided - so hitting anything moving in the air is a fluke - especially firing it upwards where it would be forced all over the place by gravity and never go straight anyway
  16. Well I guess you are the expert in A-10 loadouts - so anyone with a question now yours chance! Seen loads of threads where people argue about loadouts. If you have any problems come back and ask - most of what you need to know is already on here in past threads or on the revised knowledge base. You could even post your loadout.ini and data.ini if you like as a realistic A-10 loadout mod for others when its sorted.
  17. Difficult Carrier Landing

Does anyone know why it was landing on there?
  18. Would think so - may even be possible if you open up A-10s loadout.ini and change it to 2 instead of 3 for each agm-65 (you would need to extract that file from object.cat) Otherwise I guess lau-88 itself would need to be changed itself - need an expert though
  19. Thanks CA No the light on the water looks okay to me - its not far off the real thing
  20. Have found trees growing out of a large airfields taxiway: Also the water on mine goes white when the sun shines on it - Its ok otherwise - is this the same issue you were having?
  21. CA-Stary - you truly are a king amoungst men - I would have paid for that mod! In fact with the trees the high res looks much better than the payware terrains - the tile edges arnt so obvious either. The only issue I could think of for people installing this into a YAP install is that some targets and objects may have trees growing out of them now.
  22. The amount of time I spend getting the installs to how I want them its goota be backed up. I just copy the entire game folder for each install to DVDs.
  23. U2

U2 have done some classics IMO - Desire,Mysterious Ways and Sunday Bloody Sunday (ignoring the context behind the song obviously) are faves The Edge was one of thoese 80s guitarists who could make the simplest guitar riffs sound amazing!
