U gotta love Hollywood - with my normal sense of non existant Situational Awareness AF1 would be so dead - especially after making the fatal mistake of getting my flight into a close range dogfight -

Korean Air War Complete Mod in WoV?
MigBuster replied to vampirella's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
Err - you should have a file called Korea_types.ini - check in there to see if you have any references to runways ie [TargetType066] Name=Runway5 FullName=Runway ModelName=airfield5.lod <--------- if your file has different .lod file names then check to see if the actual .lod files are in the terrain folder. Is your terrain folder at this level? ....\WOV\Terrain\Korea Just to make sure it should be separate from (sit next to) the "VietnamSEA" folder -

Not sure without DLing it myself but would have thought so - at a guess it may need the Desert_Airfield ini files that were in the original Desert terrain (anyone know?) Are there any ini files in the korea terrain folder called something like Korea_airfield1.ini, Korea_airfield2.ini? -

Pre 1980: 1. F-4 Phantom - well known throughout the world and loads of variants, multirole, and carries loads of weps (+ Carrier ops) 2. Mirage - as above - but not as good weps loadout 3. Mig-21 - as above - but not as good weps loadout My Outsider would be the F-5 (Multirole F-18/16 predessesor ) -

Saw this news report today and made me laugh - it mentions that Japan scrambled 22 Jets to intercept a Russian "Bear". I think this may be a typo (or just complete BS) - or do you think that they wanted to outdo the rest of the world by getting a photo with 21 jets flying alongside a tu-95 from: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/7236241.stm Japan accuses Russia of incursion Japan has accused Russia of violating its airspace over the Pacific Izu islands and demanded an explanation. A Russian Tupolev 95 bomber flew for about three minutes over the isle of Sofugan, 650km (400 miles) south of Tokyo, Japanese officials said. Japan responded by scrambling 22 jets and lodging an official protest with the Russian embassy. But a spokesman for the Russian air force denied any incursion into Japanese airspace had occurred. Alexander Drobyshevsky told Russia's Itar-Tass news agency that strategic bomber flights had been "carried out in strict accordance with international rules on flying over neutral waters, without violating the border between the two countries". Rally Russia last violated Japan's airspace in January 2006 near Rebun Island near the northern island of Hokkaido, Japanese officials said. On Thursday, Japan held an annual rally to demand the return of four disputed islands - known as the Kurils in Russia and the Northern Territories in Japan - which Russia seized in the closing days of World War II. The dispute has prevented the two countries from signing a peace treaty to formally end the war. It was not clear whether Saturday's flyby was related to the rally. Despite their territorial disputes, Japan and Russia have recently indicated their desire to improve relations, the BBC's Chris Hogg reports from Tokyo. Russia wants Japanese financial support for development of its far eastern regions while Japan wants greater access to Russia's oil reserves. Whether the alleged incident was a mistake or something more sinister, such as an attempt to test Japan's defensive tactics, it has rattled the Japanese government, our correspondent says. Tokyo has demanded a full explanation from Moscow.

Loved Iron Eagle 2 when I was a kid - Makes me cringe now It taught me how good russian pilots actually were. If you remember the great Doug Masters who single handedly wiped out the entire Iraqi (or whatever) Air Force in their advanced Kfirs (captured from Israel) as a 16 year old - yet after a few years of proper training was shot down in a few minutes by some russian in an F-4E - they must be some pilots! -
