Trackir question
MigBuster replied to Henkie327's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Not sure - you could raise it at Thirdwires forum - but it may be there to keep the forward view steady. Hadn't really noticed it that much till i started playing more F4 -
Yap's Kc-135
MigBuster replied to gumpy's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
The manual install of the files is a bit tedious - but its really easy tbh - best to install 1 pack at a time to keep it simple. though its not just the new objects its the real life missions that make it great - and ive flown so many different types of missions - things you will never do in the standard WOV. The product is well supported and each new set brings in new things - this is from the latest set: -

Not sure on the 3DMAX question. You can download the titles from http://www.thirdwire.com/index.htm Otherwise try the China branch of Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/ - scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the "China" hyperlink -

Be impressed if you can get the AI to stop attacking bombers by flying slowly up behind them -
Small Bug in Deuces WOV terrain
MigBuster replied to Badfrank's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Actually that fix seems to have taken care of the blip near BIN THUY airfield (South Cambodia / Thailand i think) so good work there The only other thing is the two large airbases (Tan Son Nhut / Bien Hoa (south south Vietnam)) which apart from having trees coming from the runway - had a problem where the runway disappears when you land on it - almost like another tile was overlapping it. (is ok from up high though) - will get a pic well if were going to be picky -

MigBuster replied to serverandenforcer's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
In Captain Dale Storrs Account (Warthog, William L Smallwood) he was passing through 10,000ft when his A-10 was hit by an IR SAM - guessed to be SA-16 (this was in the 1991 Gulf war btw) - never saw it coming! -
IRWR
MigBuster replied to serverandenforcer's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
A big issue is shoulder launched MANPADs - they can only be detected by eyesight but as pilot accounts from the 1991 gulf conflict show that the first they knew a missile was coming was when it hit them. A good reason to have one against short range AAM's is that future counter measures could be deployed automatically where the pilot may not have time to respond himself. Its essential that a good IRWR is in service soon. -
Can weaponeditor take command line parameters
MigBuster replied to mustang60348's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Sorry no idea - You could ask TK at ThirdWire(Maybe?) - think they developed them. It normally only takes a few secs to merge inis together and create the dat files manually so I would b surprised if anyone has looked into this. -

Yes the Eurofighter has a DASS MAWs system that can detect infrared missile launches (developed by BAE Systems) - Not sure if it works though. -

Not that im uptight or anything but could you change the Razbam site so that either you dont have to make an account to buy something - or make sure SSL is used on the create account page that people are forced to put their personal info and password into. thankyou -

Did you actually install the latest version of Direct X via the link on Thirdwires site - or are you assuming you have the correct version? There are several Versions of Direct X 9c -

Im with you on the quote about the quality of the free models available for the Third Wire series - a lot are top drawer - guess thats what you get when something is made with passion and not to a deadline. Users of the free Mods have a lot to be thankful for IMO -
Apparently any radar can detect a Stealth plane - its the range that the plane is actually detected - thats the issue.

Well I bought the HiTiles for Falcon 4AF - which were 12$ (£6) so I don't have a problem with these. The only problem I can see now is that the account page where you put in all your personal info and password in isn't encrypted as far as I can see - kind of the first rule of eCommerce really - they need to sort that out! Actually Edward - are you setting up a paypal thing like YAP uses - that should be more secure - and I will actually buy them then. cheers! -
Daft questions
MigBuster replied to Planejunky's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
In real life im sure most of use would certainly honour this! However in Falcon 4 that KC-135 that stutters around the sky (intentionally i might add) is on borrowed time!
