Most who remember the original Strike Fighters: Project 1 and are still around hopefully wouldn't be put off by this and can see the potential. There must be a place for a SF level game with more recent era fighters now DCS has gone in the hard core direction.

  7. Silence speaks volumes...

Well said Wrench Please consider that this site consists of many types of people from many different cultures and backgrounds........and as for freedom of speech YGBSM. There are plenty of other sites you can go to publicly get on your soapbox (this is not one of them)...........and you might also find you don't really have freedom of speech there either (if your definition has no boundaries). So any more of this sh*t and I am breaking the emergency glass that releases Dave from his cave!!
  8. Probably from http://www.testpilot.ru/review/mig_pilot/ch_8.htm The data Belenko supplied in response to the first quick queries also seemed surprising and, at first, contradictory. What is the maximum speed of the MiG-25? You cannot safely exceed Mach 2.8, but actually we were forbidden to exceed Mach 2.5. You see, at high speeds the engines have a very strong tendency to accelerate out of control, and if they go above Mach 2.8, they will overheat and burn up. But we have tracked the MiG-25 at Mach 3.2. Yes, and every time it has flown that fast the engines have been completely ruined and had to be replaced and the pilot was lucky to land in one piece. (That fitted with intelligence the Americans had. They knew that the MiG-25 clocked over Israel at Mach 3.2 in 1973 had landed back in Egypt with its engines totally wrecked. They did not understand that the wreckage was inevitable rather than a freakish occurrence.)
  9. Silence speaks volumes...

Another truly sad disaster (just read the texts sent by a boy to his mother) may the victims RIP.

  12. Thanks Jonathan very useful
  13. FE2 and Windows 10?

Yes.....not seen any problems thus far
  14. FC 3 worth the money?

DCS 2.0 is currently at Alpha release as I understand it. All I know is that DCS 2.0 will become the de facto version sometime in the future instead of the 1.5 we are on now..........and when that happens I expect all the maps and Modules to be available and work together.....but as ever keep an eye out for news.
  15. In this upcoming DLC campaign for DCS World, Apache600 has found a unique way of putting a square peg in a round hole with The Museum Relic story… http://www.mudspike.com/the-museum-relic-dcs-world-campaign/

  20. Warthog Deals Despite being one of our oldest DCS World modules, our Warthog continues to still be one of our most popular. When paired with the new Nevada Test and Training Range map and the A-10C Red Flag campaign, it creates one of the most engaging flight simulation experiences you can have on a PC. For this weekend, we have two Hog deals. They will start on 03 June 2016 at 1500 GMT and last until 06 June 2016 at 0900 GMT. DCS: A-10C Warthog + DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range map for $59.99 USD A-10C: 16-2 Red Flag Campaign -50% off We've also included some of our favorite A-10C images. DCS: F-5E Tiger II Preview Video While Eagle Dynamics is primarily focused on DCS World 2.5, Spitfire, and F/A-18C Hornet, our friends at Belsimtek are busy getting the F-5E Tiger II ready for an Early Access release. The module has entered testing, and preparations for manual localization is underway. One of our German translators, Rakuzard, has created a couple preview videos of this new module: English: https://youtu.be/jtWw-_Nx8P0 German: https://youtu.be/U9JDtzt5nTc DCS: F-5E Tiger II is currently available in pre-purchase with a 20% savings at DCS site. Have a great weekend, The Eagle Dynamics Team
  21. Awesome question! This is a question I used to ask a lot while going through flight school. I am truly fortunate to have experience flying both jets. They are both awesome machines with tremendous capability, but you’ll see why I prefer the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet by the time you finish reading......... https://fightersweep.com/5334/ask-fighter-pilot-hornet-vs-super-hornet/
  22. There are conditions they need to adhere to as an ED 3rd Party......whether this includes better customer service I'm not sure........has anyone had any issues with the M2000C? - I gather the FM needed a bit of work? I do have the M2000C .......just havn't had time to fly it yet............am on Belsimteks MiG-15bis though, that's very good!
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdtYE160lPc Caucasus Map Texture DLC by Starway This DLC is a complete retexturing of the existing DCS World Caucasus map to provide a new and improved look and feel. The objective of this DLC is not just to create more modern graphics, but to also make the map more resemble this geographic region. This has been accomplished by basing most of the textures on satellite images of the Caucasus region. Specially, the fields and grass areas much better match this region than the default map textures. Beyond that, a great deal of time and effort has done into creating new building textures. They are high resolution now and are also based on the actual region. This is also true for the trees, surface textures beneath urban areas, and of course the mountains. These are remarkable changes to giving this map a huge level of improvement. This DLC also contains features that are less apparent, such as: all the lua files (files for terrain configuration) has been improved, better road textures, updated noise and clutter textures, and the border textures between fields. Caucasus Map Texture DLC by Starway Features: – Noise/base textures in for all seasons – Overall HD building textures for all building except airports – Completely new field and grass textures for all seasons based on satellite images of the Caucasus region – Tree textures for all seasons with a volumetric look – Mountain textures based on satellite images for all seasons – Distant terrain textures for all seasons – New textures/noise for all cities, towns, and industrial areas for all seasons – Border textures for all seasons – New road textures for all seasons – Adjusted terrain configuration files It will cost $ 14.99 and will be available very soon! Happy flying! Starway http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=164817
