  3. Well..... I got it to open an SF2 NA terrain lod, couldn't get the texture or mesh to show though. Maybe this could eventually be of some use to our terrain experts.......way above my head though. I put the IcelandNA data ini in a folder of the same name & renamed the Mesh001 entry to LOD001 & the lod viewer opened it fine.....I suppose you would have to do this for each part of the terrain to build a complete picture from it.
  4. LOL....shock, horror. I cant believe this guys stupidity for making these files so easy to get hold of, but how many of you have actually downloaded them ?? Lets face it though, I really do doubt if EVERY model or skin here at CA [or any other site for any other sim] has been made with fully paid for versions of max or photoshop........ & before you ask............yes mine are paid for !

  12. Great tool, but I don't think it would be a good idea to be able to convert the lods for "remodelling" in Max, it would be a free for all and lead to all sorts of arguments.

    These are summat I was working on ages ago.....same basic RF-4C model but tweaked for SF2 and the slimers removed.... Maybe a stand in until Volker can get to make some "proper" ones.. Edited because I couldn't get the screenies to show...
  21. Is a Nvidia GTX750 Ti [2048 mb] a good step up from my ATI Radeon 6950 -2048 mb] ? My main uses gaming wise are SF2 series and FSX.

  24. Thanks for the advice guys, I'll hold off until I have a bit more cash or prices drop....no point changing just for the sake of it.
  25. That's what I'm trying to find out really, I know SF2 has a vsync issue with ATI cards since the last patch & FSX is something that folk always say runs better on Nvidia based cards.....just wondering what, if any gains I'd get for the money.....budget is REALLY tight.
