A complete flyable pack of the wonderful TSR2, I originally started this off as just something for my own use but after many requests for a general release I've tidied up the messy bits to get it into a use more user friendly release, the readme will explain all...please read it . Many thanks to Craig for the original TSR2 model & everybody else who's work is also in this pack [pits etc] Enjoy. Ant. -

Baltika's UK map, highly modified with new tiles, objects etc. I've put this lot together over a period of time, it was intended to be just for my personal fun but I've had a fair bit of intrest in it so I've decided to release it "as is", I dont thnk it will ever be what I call finished as there's lots more I'd like to do.....I just dont have the time anymore, so please feel free to make amendments to it [it could do with the SF2NA naval features adding to make things a little more intresting]. Any changes you do make, please post/upload at CA for everybody to enjoy. Please read the readme, its for your benifit not mine. -
SF2 - what has been taken away?
Sundowner replied to MigBuster's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I haven't fired up the game in a good while, soooo, if all these things have been taken away what was added or fixed to cause TK to release the patches in the first place? Was it a fair swap? Just asking before the winter nights arrive & I get back into it....or not as the case may be. -

How do you remove paint from a plane and...
Sundowner replied to Geary's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Find the panel finder tool at simmers paintshop, add it to a new layer on any/all the skin temps, drop the opacity to about 50% & try it in game, it'll help loads when trying to line things up, just keep messing m8, it's all trial and error to start with, the main thing is have fun doing it.....you'll learn more when you're happy than you will pissed off. -
F-4EJ
Sundowner replied to ravenclaw_007's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Ahhh, the mysterious EF-4EJ, I've read about this a few times, from what I remember it was an unnoficial name given to a few aircraft [maybe less than 10] that were set up to provide specialised jamming during exercises, possibly each squadron would set up 1 or 2 for this role depending on the scale of the exercise, the AN/ALE-41 equipped aircraft would effectively be nothing more than a good old fashioned "chaff bomber". I have an old Japanese aviation magazine somewhere with a few pictures of these birds in action......if only I could find it. -
F-4EJ
Sundowner replied to ravenclaw_007's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
This continues to be an uphill struggle I'm afraid, there used to be a great site many years ago [long gone now] that had various pictures of every aircraft, details, weapons the lot. As for books the only one I have showing any amount of armed aircraft is this, in Japanese though......and pretty rare nowadays. @ Streakeagle, for pictures of actual combat armed Israeli F-4's I can recommend these: http://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/ref/airdoc/book_airdoc_kurnass1.shtml http://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/ref/airdoc/book_airdoc_kurnass2.shtml -
