Javito, I take it "Moya" is running well. Did you ever get the Tt Chaser Mk-1 ? I have two extra color shift fans in mine, it does look sweet and I can change the colors to fit my mood.

Are there any more issues of the BOC News to read? -
That's slick ZZ. I was wondering if the chair had wheels.... envisioned it vibrating itself across a tile or hardwood floor..lol

Olham, I'm hoping the library comes back up soon as my german pilot recently received a sleek new Albatros DII.

So, did you set this up in the den in front of the big screen or move the big screen to a different room? No complaints from the woman of the house, if you have one? Mine freaked out one day that I had off during winter and set up my PC and flying controls in the living room and hooked them up to our big screen. Wish I'd thought ahead to have a movie camera running to document the event. The look on her face was priceless. My house (cabin in the woods) is small so I use headphones, and actually prefer them over the dolby 5.1 I used before. Been checking out some newer headphones, the Roccat 5.1 look interesting. That chair has to beat headphones. Enjoy! Which one rocking chair are you using? http://xrockernation.com/

CaptSopwith, Those are some sweet looking skins. Olham is very talented! When the library is back up I'll look for the red "R" skin ZoomZoom, WOW! You have a great set up now...that chair must be amazing. What do the FW-190's or P-47's big radial engines feel like? Il2 has a few biplanes to fly if OFF won't run well on your current rig. All you need now for realism is a big fan blowing in your face with a castor oil misting system....goggles and scarf too....lol Good to hear I was of help and glad you found a customizable build that fit your budget and needs.

WooHoo!!! New computer!!!! When is it arriving? I remember waiting for my new cpu, mobo, ram and graphics card this past February. Felt like a 5 year old at Christmas. Santa and his sleigh being replaced by the UPS man and his brown truck.

Glad to see you post about this. I watched several programs last week about the battles and was thinking about your reenactment.
-
Hehe...I remember that tune Well, I landed my Pup and waited for the rest of my flight. I was flight leader. Took them approx 12 minutes to come back into "radar range" and I watched from my parked plane. They all crashed on approach into trees. No mods were in use for the mission.

I dvr'd this 1 hour tv program on the Military channel. It is well done and chronicles the advances made to WWI planes.
-
I once waited for my squad mates to land, 4 out of 5 crashed, and I never waited for them again.

I also enjoy FSX and love to fly bush planes. This sim has it too. Enjoyed London and Paris, but I prefer the mountains. The South West section has that. Had a great flight in a Roland from a sw airfield and just went exploring on my side of the mud. Good times. Not as purty as FSX with addons, but still very enjoyable. Oh, the sky at sunset.... wish I had a float plane to land on a river and startle Grandpa Saar's cousins that didn't take the voyage across the Atlantic. He lost many old world relations in in WWI. He was an infant in the 1910 move to America. I also use free flight as a tool to evaluate graphics sliders. Don't see much difference between 4s and 5s on the airfield when I'm piloting a bicycle (none as far as terrain and minimal on scenery). This mod of CFS3 has come a long way. I can only hope thet the next mod, WOFF, will come to fruition.

Downloads And Uploads Are Still Offline For The Time Being
MudWasp48 replied to Dave's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
No problem, it's probably a time consuming PItA and upgrades are a good thing -
How was the reenactment?

Yeah, it's good to have it back up

OFFworld: Persistent Online Campaigns for OFF/WOFF
MudWasp48 replied to Lothar of the Hill People's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I'm tempted to join, Lothar. However, RoF left a bitter taste when it comes to online connections with a sim. I do appeciate your work! Had a few issues at first, but was just confused by all the acronyms. No big deal. Switching squads is great, even see some of my former pilots at times. Even if I never played the role stuff, just having all the mods together and the JSGME to control them is excellent. Many Thanks!- 27 replies

Screen Shots, Videos, Media, OFF Posters
MudWasp48 replied to MK2's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I wish posting screen shots was easier for me. This thread is great. LIMA33 has one in the WWI section comparing different sims with the same campaign. It is well worth a look. I'll try Olham's advice on settings. I was at all 5's and dropped the terrain down to 4 as I noticed what he described. I really don't see much difference in scenery on 5 as compared to 4, unless I take a bicycle around the airfield. I do have my Nvidea settings cranked up. So many things to tinker with..... I'm running scenery and terrain at 4 right now, rest at 5 -
A Nieuport 28 campaign - sim by sim
MudWasp48 replied to 33LIMA's topic in WWI Flight Sim Discussion
Took me numerous "refreshes" of this thread to get all the new screen shots to load and some waiting in between, but it was worth the wait...! Hadn't really thought much about First Eagles 2 until I viewed your screenies. I see why you like it. The terrain looks fairly easy to navigate without aids, Not being nitpicky.....but.... I didn't see a screen shot of the RoF cockpit from the same angles as the other two sims. It looked like it had a center mounted circular site from side angle screen shots, but I didn't see the pilot's view. Maybe it was a dreaded "red X" that didn't show up and I missed it. Sucks being on dial-up, but I make do. Speaking of dial-up. Somehow I was fooled into believing that RoF would work in offline mode for me. I bought an Iron Cross Edition DVD back in early February after starting a PC build. It installed ok, but couldn't communicate with the mother ship quicly enough to update itself. Tried several times, gave up and uninstalled it. Never even got to take a test flight. Oh well, there went $20, but I learned a lesson and did manage to find OFF. I might check out this First Eagles 2. Would FE2 work for a man with dial-up? I can have a friend download large files for me if need be. That won't work for RoF....and I don't want to make that mistake again.- 46 replies

Wow! Thanks 33LIMA, that is a very good visual comparison of the sims. You put in quite a bit of work into that. Impressive! I only fly OFF, dial-up internet rules out ROF, haven't looked into the others and look forward to seeing your screenshots. Thanks for the OFF mods too, the ArcMod adds much to the sim.- 46 replies

"Stow Maries" - Original WW1 aerodrome for sale
MudWasp48 replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
In my dreams....guess it would make sense to have a real plane first. I see windsocks on both sides of the trenches and across the the channel. They are not easily seen at distance. -
