    Было бы гораздо вежливее писать на английском (так как это основной язык форума).

    Здесь ребята со всего мира; английский для них не родной, но они всё равно стараются на нём писать (даже если для этого приходится пользоваться переводчиком).

    So the burner story goes on....thanks to Svetlin and Ravenclaw tests, here it is...

    all credit for Effect is going to Eagle114th. If you have his mod, you do not have to copy effect files.

    Although. In the files provided here, there are 2 small changes. First, I have edited the TGA files to make them even more transparent, so they look a little lighter/softer in-game.

    Another change is that in file: INI_ENGINE_J79_Engine_Node, I have changed:

    EmissionType=HOLD_PARTICLE into 

    EmissionType=ORIENTED_EMITTER -  this way, the inner tga "mil power" glowing in the engine is quite softer in look and has some small "flickering animated" effect.

    For now, it is in form of copy - paste - overwrite. Soon it should be uploaded to the main download with other updated files for Starfighters.

    Additionally, AMI early CI and CB have edited LOD and data to remove top red beacon light.

  4. Yes. There will be several pit variants.

    The thing is, I am building a cockpit, but this time very slowly. I have very limited time for modding. I hope it will be ready by the end of the year... but no promises.

  5. I think all of you might have fallen victim to my mess in files. Initialy when I started working on these mods years ago, it was at the  time when Eagle114th started to work on his community enhancements. 

    So in my zippers, I used something similar to his afterburner mod. And yes, it is still working on my end, but I heard, and I can see that some might have a problem with the afterburners on my zippers. nevertheless...full AB should look like this..

    And there should also be some kind of ab ring when on mil power. Those who are familiar with Eagle114th work will know what i mean. 

    So in the next release, I will try to fix that and provide some extra data for previous releases.

    As for German Starfighters. Again, there will be several variants. But due to game limits, I will make it in a particular way. So early models with J79-11 engine will have C-2 seat. And then I will have one upgrade for the year 1970 (unlike in real life) - Martin-Baker seat and an MTU engine at the same time. Still thinking how to proceed with the Luftwaffe RF-104, but I guess it will end up with two variants like JaBo and AWX.

     

    By the way, I found time to finish MTU-J1K.

  7. Small fix for those who want to fix something...

    Removal of the top red beacon on early RDAF_F-104G_64

    RDAF_F-104G_64_FIX_v1.rar

    overwrite jpg and lod file, it removes light from the _02 skin sheet, and new lod without beacon,

    and data that removes working light, or simply find those lines and delete.

  8. I am sorry for your loss. My father passed away 2 years ago at the same age as yours... Still, thinking about how too soon it came, how many more years he could be with us...

    Killerbee was a great guy here, working with him on a few projects, and I still have old conversations with him here.  He will be remembered.

  9. Starfighters - Ejército del Aire


    Spanish Air Force Starfighters. 

    This mod offers my personal approach to the EdA (Ejército del Aire) F-104 series. It is not intended to replace or compete with previous packs. I recommend testing it before removing any older mods, as you may prefer one over the other.

    Installation & Requirements:
    Skill Level: Basic modding skills are required (copy/pasting and managing mod folder structures).
    Process: Copy and paste the specific folders into your game's directory.
    Required Files: You must have a "fake pilot" installed and the original Thirdwire F-104 cockpit from the base game.
    Game Menu: In-game, aircraft are listed with the .EdA. prefix -  Ejército del Aire


    Fuel tanks- Tanks are just ini files. The mod uses tanks that are part of an aircraft lod.
    Now mod uses an additional no-fuel tanks loadout. Simply, If you want to fly with a clean wing, choose from the loadout dropdown menu option - no tanks. You need this specific weapon in the weapons folder.
    I have added new pilot model; although it is important to remember that this pilot work well with the provided C-2. It was never tested in another configuration.

    All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize as needed.  

    Paint schemes and decals represent historically correct numbers assigned to aircraft during their 7 years of service in the Spanish Air Force, for a specific year, squadron, etc.

    Spanish Air Force operated the F-104G for only 7 years. Mainly in intercpetor role. According to sources, at some point, EdA Starfighters were flying training missions with a bomb loadout. Also, after acquiring the Viccon recon pod Starfighter was used in the photo reconnaissance role. For now, this package is delivered to you in this form. I will update this with the Viccon pod in later time. Although the weapon station is ready for the recon pod, it is not yet possible to use it. 

    Cockpit, in general, is a temporary solution, along with cockpit and avionics files. But for the new cockpit, you will have to wait a little longer.

    I would like to credit the creator of BR 250 SSQ bomb, but not sure who made that weapon. It is taken from ludo.m54 Mirage F1 pack. SO it is compatible with Spanish aviation.

  10. Starfighters - Aeronautica Militare


    Italian Air Force Starfighters.

    Paint schemes and decals represent historically correct numbers assigned to aircraft during their service in the Italian Air Force, for a specific year, squadron, etc. Due to the Italian way of assigning aircraft to a unit, tracking the serial number and matching it to the tactical number for a specific year is almost impossible. But this is a different story.

    Interceptor variants are equipped only with AIM-9B missiles, no guns. Yes it was silly idea, but that is how they wanted it. I also made a late variant with an early version of the IQ-7A seat, but in fact, not all interceptors were equipped with this seat.
    The fighter-bomber variant is made similarly, with a C-2 seat and another with an IQ-7A seat. Also, the late aircraft will be equipped with EL-70 ecm. Although due to game limits ecm is in fact present from the start in data ini. 
    For the first five years, the Italian Air Force didn't know what to do with reconnaissance variants, so airframes were distributed to fighter-bomber squadrons and later to interceptor squadrons for training purposes. And somehow they often carried the SUU-21 dispenser in CBOS squadrons. Some had even removed cameras for the time being. Also, they carried Red Dogs on wingtips, but I am not sure if those were wired and usable. Anyway, you can use them in-game. One thing thoug - SecondaryRoles are disabled in data.ini (////SecondaryRoles=STRIKE,ARMED_RECON,CAP)
    Reconnaissance squadrons were equipped with RF variant somewhere in 1970...so from this year we have pure recon variants.
    After Interceptor squadrons moved to F-104S, the remaining interceptor airframes were modified by FIAT, allowing them to carry an Orpheus recon pod. F-104G(O) could also be equipped with training dispensers and an M61 gun. All of them were in use by 3 Stormo -  were apart from the main reconnaissance role were to execute and train in the ground attack role.

    In-game, you will have:
    F-104G CI '63 early interceptor 
    F-104G CI '69 interceptor with Martin Baker seat
    F-104G CB '63 early fighter-bomber variant
    F-104G CB '71 fighter bomber variant with Martin Baker seat and EL-70 ecm system in later years
    RF-104G '65 early reconnaissance variant used for training in interceptor and bomber roles by CIO and CBOS squadrons.
    RF-104G '70 reconnaissance variant with internal camera bay, new Martin Baker seat, and EL-70
    RF-104G '84 reconnaissance variant with internal camera bay, new Martin Baker seat, ecm system, and AN/ALE-40 countermeasures box
    F-104G(O) '74 recon fighter-bomber with Orpheus pod
    F-104G(O) '84 recon fighter-bomber with Orpheus pod, ecm system, and AN/ALE-40 countermeasures box

    Fighter-bomber variant is capable of delivering a special weapon. Known as nukes. They were training with imitation rounds. This will be Work in progress - anyway, after loading nuke, the M61 gun will be unloaded automatically. The plan was to use extra fuel loaded in gun/ammo bay. I did not model that feature, but there is extra fuel cell in RF variant. 
    I disabled radar in RF variants. It does not look good, I do not like it. But at least ther is no radar. In fact this is just a temporary solution.
    Cockpit in general is a temporary solution, along with cockpit and avionics files. But for the new cockpit you will have to wait a little longer.
