With regard to the Vulcan being used to deliver an air-strike on ISIS, I don't think that a large-scale conventional bomb attack would do any good, they are too widely spread out, never concentrated in the same place. There are numerous ISIS pockets of resistance all over Iraq and Syria. Frankly, It would be extremely difficult to get them all in one go!!! and it is likely that as soon as some have been killed and declared Martyr's - others will join and rally to their cause. We are trying to fight an Ideaology and a belief system with bombs and guns! I can't really see a way to fight these fanatics without putting a lot of boots on the ground and carrying out numerous pin-point air strikes.

F-35 pilot says it can't dogfight
RUSTYMORLEY replied to ultramig688's topic in Military and General Aviation
I guess we will have to wait and see what happens when the F-35 is put into front-line service for real and it comes up against a real adversary in a combat zone who is armed with real missiles and guns, then we will have to watch and see what happens as to who will be the victor !!! -
Whoever he is or whoever he looks like - he looks like a real mean bastard !!!!!

F-35 pilot says it can't dogfight
RUSTYMORLEY replied to ultramig688's topic in Military and General Aviation
The more complex a thing is made, the more likely it is to fail. The F-35 is extremely complex although advanced, but nevertheless it has so far failed to live up to expectations and the cost of the aircraft and its protracted development is spiraling ever upwards. -

Yeah I tend to agree with that, a lot of the FEAR story don't seem to make much sense, but it is a really good FIRST PERSON SHOOTER, and you get to use a good variety of guns and even an ARMOURED POWER SUIT, which turns you into a MECH WARRIOR.

Why don't they put terrorists inside the launch \ test object, that would simulate the real weight of a pilot.

Have you altered or changed anything at all with regard to the skin itself, or the name of the skin or the name of the skin folder. I have done that before and got exactly what you got there - black fuselage. But his doesn't happen all the time. -
Any of you guys ever played a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER game called F.E.A.R. 3, just wondered if it was any good and perhaps get hold of a downloadable and playable demo for it on PC. I have played a lot of FIRST PERSON SHOOTER games for the PC and so far the F.E.A.R. series of games seems pretty good. I like the look of that MASS EFFECT - ANDROMEDA video as well.

There was a time when the F-4 Phantom was the yardstick by which every other new jet fighter was measured. It is a legend and it is both robust and beautiful as well. I sure hope we preserve a great many of them!!!

4.13 Patch for IL-2
RUSTYMORLEY replied to RUSTYMORLEY's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
I am not Modded with regard to IL-2 1946 so patches are the only form of advancement and growth for my game, it is just way to complex for me to attempt. I will stick to Modding Strike Fighters, which is far,far easier to Mod, thank the stars. -
Well okay - lets have clean water, food, medicine and aircraft carriers in equal priority!!!

I myself am looking for a new car right now and seeing this has got me thinking, maybee I should get myself a Saladin Armoured Car to nip to the shops and go to work in, although I think I would probably have to increase my fuel allownace on account of the Saladin's bigger engine. What do you guy's think - NEW NISSAN MICRA or SALADIN ARMOURED CAR

If the Arizona has indeed been struck, lets hope that the bodies of those sailors who are interred within the hull have not been disturbed !!!

You know a lot of what that old fart said makes sense, as I get older I am beginning to see things his way, and yeah he's right there's no point running everywhere when you can walk just as easy and there is'nt any jackass terrorist I know of who can outrun a bullet. -
I bet he has seen a few Starship Captains come and go in his 200 year lifetime.

There are some areas of India which are extremely underdeveloped and other regions which are are very poor and the local population suffers famine and abject poverty. Other areas have no running clean water. I think the cash could have been put to better use. But that's politicians for you - never mind food, clean water and medicine lets have a bigger and better war machine!!!

Looks good - didn't like Carlize Theron's haircut though, having said that, I bet she saved a fortune on Shampoo and hair treatments!!!

My uncle's Nissan Micra which is Keyless entry does the same frigging thing and sometimes won't even let him open the door. I think the Russians have pinched the idea from the Japanese. You can shove complex entry systems and control units up your botty as far as I am concerned.

How come that frigging Wookie never seems to age, what kind of anti-ageing cream is he using.

Yeah - I am a life-long fan of Star Wars, cant wait to see this new film it, although Han Solo looks a bit old and haggard, must be his smuggling days catching up with him, but still good to see old favourites back on the big screen.

I have recently downloaded and installed Google Chrome, everything is fine except for an express browser bar which has appeared at the top of my desktop screen. Try as I might I can't get rid of the dammed thing as it interferes with with any screen which you subsequently open at the desktop. Any one got any idea how to get rid of this dammed thing. I have been all through the settings and can't seem to de-activate it. Any advice or help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. RUSTYMORLEY
