  1. Happy Birthday to

Happy Birthday to your son Dave! All the best!
  2. it's unused yet... my tests with it had no luck so far Guys is it me, or when having ObjectsFade=True, post patch distance is now shorter than in March12 one? also, and I'm pissed here, now trees AGAIN float above ground when you don't disable the shaders in the terains _data.ini
  3. model ONLY arresting gear and needed bits of ini, place it ontop of existing runway, enjoy the lights at night edit: what Ed have said, ini alone should do fine
  4. hmmm, I thought 0,0 offset from airfield is allways in the middle of the runway? If so placing them would be just two coordinates copy&paste but it was "just" me thinking out loud edit: my knowlegde of the runway recovery systems equals to zero so I don't know if the position would be closer to standard touchdown point or not. Also I guess barricade nets would have use on runways too(?) but these aren't modelled in any sim I guess
  5. then make stationary (no engine 0 speed) carrier model using stock runway model and try it this way
  6. File Name: Baltic region tileset additional seasons File Submitter: Stary File Submitted: 02 April 2012 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Terrains Baltic region HR tileset v1.0 "Additional seasons pack" for SF2/SF2NA March 2012 patch-level April 2nd 2012 These are additional seasoned variants of "Baltic region HR tileset" that were not included with the original upload. To install unpack and cop content of Sweden folder to your terrains/Sweden -overwrite when asked. The new seasons are light snow before winter, thaw and early spring. Modified Sweden.ini to incorporate the new seasons included. Click here to download this file
  7. (the version of I have) IrfanView erases alpha channel on formats that support it during batch conversion, but is ok for other formats like bmp or jpegs
  8. exactly! I dunno why people bitch so much about breaking stuff, it's really 3 minutes work to restore whole mods or individual planes, as for flyables, directory like _stock_NA_planes in aircraft folder with everything one want's to keep copied into, makes restoring mods after patch matter of overwriting files

Tracermania AAA Tracers and bullets modification FOR STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 Europe with Expansion pack 2 Made for and tested in SF2 all titl mergedwithes merged with Expansion Packs 1&2 by Stary version 1.0 06.12.2010 This little modification changes the number of tracers fired by all stock AAA units and patrol boats. Number of tracers has been increased 5 times, instead of every fifth bullet being tracer round now EVERY SINGLE bullet fired by Triple-A is tracer. Also I changed the data for stock partol boats, that makes these vessels track and attack air targets too. Second tweak is the increase of bullets fired in a burst by AAA crews, usually from 12 to 20 or 24. This seem to me does not make them more or less accurate. As these changes may increase CPU usage I eliminated ALL tracersmoke trails of any kind for any calibre guns (...)

  12. do as I say in chat window then
  13. funny checked TW page hour ago (usualstuff when drinking morning coffe) and I missed this... again off to try what this breaks edit: I'm 100% sure this list of updated files isn't complete, as some fixes (map, disappearing HUD) requires changes in other files
  14. yes, TGA files need to have their alpha-channel preserved (saved) so you'll need to find batch converter that does it properly Elephant, my favourite IrfanView isn't good for that. Batch task in Photoshop should do fine! Maybe you should try reducing ground objects detail, and set ObjectsFade=True in options ini? The TOD objects have bigger impact on frametare than textures
  15. can't help Paulo, TW sims are wasting my life since 2005, just sharing the painful experience

Baltic region HR tileset v1.0 for SF2 March 2012 patch-level April 1st 2012 optional tiles, ground TOD objects for "The Scandinavian Front MOD" by JonathanRL or stand-alone Sweden map by gillg Hats off to both of you for your efforts guys! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GAMEPLAY NOTE: Due to large amount of ground objects per tile (around 800-1100+ per single tile) it's highly recommended to use ObjectsFade=TRUE statement in options.ini to increase ingame framerates Also, due to my crappy slow internet connection, I removed from the initial upload two seasons (thaw and light snow) which eventually will be uploaded later ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This mod assumes one has at least installed and tested Sweden map by gillg, more preferably stand-alone TSF mod folder with one of JonathanRL&Team's Scandinavian mods, which includes the Sweden map in them too. Installation: To install unpack this archive and copy or move the content of Baltic Tileset to your Terrains folder, overwrite when asked. !!!Be warned, due to 1024x1024 textures and large TOD files, the map takes some time to load at first run!!! 17. yes, my tiles go as last, first the basic pack, then the additional seasons
  18. looks ok, textures are tad too bright though j/k looks great
  19. desert terrain is based on that area GTOPO DEM data
  20. good to hear Andrew! And nice to see you around again
  21. same here, lot of sarcasm and bit of bitterness too if you dig into it
  22. yes, gillg's Sweden terrain is required as stated in the readme: "This mod assumes one has at least installed and tested Sweden map by gillg, more preferably stand-alone TSF mod folder with one of JonathanRL&Team's Scandinavian mods, which includes the Sweden map in them too." delete Sweden folder AJ, install gillg's Sweden terrain, FLY OVER it at least once to check if it's working, then add the tiles mod of mine, you should be good to go
