  2. Rendlesham forest UFO included? (man I love that story from late 1980)
  3. Get out and Walk!

    don't miss this simulator: http://ejectionseat.com.ne.kr/
  4. I'd lovely pay 50$ for something really new in SF2 world... better than paying ten times 5$ for DLC
  5. BIRTHDAYS!

    Have a great one guys!
  6. (Green Hell 2 had similar tweak included as option IIRC but without such nice effect )
  7. awesome shots Steelflanker! That new noise textures really add to the look
  8. Spectre, wasn't there some in your "Modern" series of packs? I was thinking abour replacing the cockpit with Superbug one myself some time ago when I was playing Modern Korea I think
  9. back to the DLC, why don't release bundles of planes from Expansion packs like flyable P-51D vs AI Spitfire for those who own just one or two titles? Or say Lightning and Harrier for RAF fans stuck with SF2 alone? Plenty of choices there with minimal work involved
  10. don't get me wrong, I have most of the DLC, sans few Hunters and CCustomizer, but these planes aren't part of something bigger like new small terrain, new campaigns etc. From some not so short time, seeing as TK clearly has slow(ed) general progress on new contend, I thought as others: why not include some 3rd party (MFactory...) planes, some general tweaks, terrains or terrain mods (Kevin's Iran/Iraq...) some stuff this amazing community created over the years. I'm pretty sure many would give away stuff for free or very small amount of money just to be on the "3rd party contributors" credits page (Hell I can name one that would ) or go full scale FSX-style addons at TW's site (don't shoot me!)... or do a recommended community mods/addons page next to shop one? Something for the crowd to know there are mods to the series (seems to me that contrary to we here would believe, most "lite" users don't mod...)
  11. oh, I have my own internetz stalker! There are other small devs who post a shots of single untextured part of plane mesh when they do progress, why TK's so silent about posting any Tomcat updates is mistery to me... in fact shouldn't be, it's TK after all
  12. pardon my ignorace, I was away from the series and combatace for weeks, but what is Operation Darius? ODS for series2 has been released? I was really really under a rock edit: NATO vs Iran kind of mod? edit 2: ahaa, Dave's wargame, found other threads
  13. ugh! That makes the DLC and that train simulators addon wagoons good deal anyway, I'm waiting for the new title with both hope and... ok with hope then
  14. for me no longer, the DLC thing is starting to be a NOGO and waste of resources... oh, there's so many AI-only Migs-17 TK could release, say 15$ a plane as these are the infamous Red side. Got the sarcasm?
  15. Sirte falls. Gaddafi captured.

    it is now
  16. woohoo, thanks U.! I was offline for few weeks, and now I see Anatolia v2, Apache, Buccaneer among other things... damn I need free time! @Brain, Squid: both are 512pix, the only one 1024 for Germany was old one from late 2009 (but that will change...)

Ejecting pilots mod update. Includes new great parachute graphics by Luk1978. Thank you! Also thanks to Epizikl for additional info. Wish we could use 3D chutes. Now you can chose one from three aircraft fire effect versions: 1 -stock Thirdwire one, with original fire and smoke materials 2 -"Enhanced Explosions 3" version 3 -napalm-like one from beta release Also the size of chute scaled to fit the new graphics.

My third approach at modyfying explosions to give them that familiar hollywood-style exaggerated look: new graphics, new emitters, brand new look for the series. And YES, they are best looking when combined with the HDR/Bloom plugin. New for the series are generic nuclear effects.
  19. 10 Years Ago Today

but hey, "we" got the bad guys, lots of them
  20. Steve Jobs

  21. Steve Jobs

This is sad, and I guess explains his resignation. Anyway when I heard about his resignation I suspected it's illness related. I think his biggest contribution may be the Iphone which changed mobiles for ever. They are not just phones anymore... More like a computer in your pocket. Not much else I can really say. A visionary and incredible mind. Such a shame.
  22. File Name: Enhanced GermanyCE tileset -no trees for grass tiles File Submitter: Stary File Submitted: 06 July 2011 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Terrains Enhanced GermanyCE tileset -no trees for grass (R-type) tiles fix/addon to my GermanyCE enhanced tileset. This is quick fix that removes trees from R-type (in original TW tileset empty grass only) tiles. As most seem to be using custom GermanyCE_tagets.ini file(s) with various airfields added (like those in Nato Fighters 4+ or others) I did this fix. This will also allow future usage of my tileset by modders working on new campaigns with even more new airfields planned, yet to be released. To install simply unzip to your mods installation GermanyCE folder, overwrite when asked. You can also delete the GermanyCE.TFD file that came with my GermanyCE tileset (no custom tiles layout needed) Click here to download this file
  23. Terrible crash at Reno

If I'm to pick sides here (and I don't like to pick sides, I'm quite too arrogant selfish being to be of any side!) I'm with Lexx, but I have a mixed feelings about this whole thing, the races etc. The planes weren't designed to fly low for Whoa!s. Period. But As for safety, there's MUCH higher risk I'll die in a car accident (4000+ yearly in Poland! Pick up small town or large village here, it's gone every single year!) than in a plane. (BUT the plane I was first time up in the air in (Yak-12M) claimed lifes of a pilot and 3 passengers some years later... )
