  1. that's easy way, true, but as I can live with 512x512 terrain tiles just fine I can't with some 512x512 skins and this setting cuts all textures to specified resolution. Anyway Dave uploaded the tiles, not really difference between 1024 and 512
  2. MigBuster thanks, but wait till I finally finish the Taiwan update: "another 2 weeks"
  3. those textures are perfectly fine -in fact 1024x1024 ones are a bit "for the future systems" as I wrote you on FB -USAFMTL will propably upload downsized variant
  4. looks good, how you imported Google sketch-up to game? via max?
  5. Confused!

    thank you for clarification
  6. 512x512 are of enough quality I think, will try to upload later, I have some problems with uploading files from my computer
  7. Confused!

I allways use the newest one -my case Israel.exe- force of habits. Do patches update older executables too? (if patch desires to do so). Anyway I find it safer to run the latest one from merged install.
  8. Confused!

Mike what executable file you use to run the merged titles? Allways use the newest one from merged to run them (ie. if you have SF2+SF2:V+SF2:E -use StrikeFighters2 Europe.exe to run them; if you have SF2:V+SF2:E+SF2:I merged use StrikeFifgters2 Israel.exe)
  9. once again, congratulations!
  10. X-RAY 80%? isn't it when plane textures are being loaded into engine? Have you tried with lower settings, ie. medium? edit: I'll try to upload smaller (512x512) textures version later today, there might be GPU overload when mixed with ultra-hires (ie. Sundowners' 2048x2048) plane textures

  12. rem Restart Explorer.exe start explorer.exe exit
  13. My bad as I happily applied Mar2010 update to my merged install without knowledge of this patch issues but I was away from forums and unaware The cities will take some time I think, I could just use my older city tods from Green Hell2 or Europe mods, but the placement would be way off (I managed to find the exact same places used for city textures as Thirdwire -it's Port Said downtown and industrials btw).
  14. Been watching this in the TV, thanks for posting
  15. Stratos try this one as an example, remember to save is as bitmap:
  16. Thanks Canadair, I don't have series1 installed, and run out of HD space to install and test it in WOI -much appreciated! I'm not sure what's A-stan tileset naming convention, if it's the same -should be no problem, depending on that map's data.ini
  17. Guyran you have stand-alone SF2:I or merged? I haven't tried on stand-alone install, but the procedure should be the same.
  18. thanks Wrench, seems I forgot few steps of cloning terrains
  19. Apart from editing the data.ini you'll have to rename (after extracting) the TFD and HFD files to new terrain name (ie. IsraelMEplus as an example) and of course all the new pointers for terrains' ini files in the new terrainname.ini file (this example IsraelMEplus.ini) edit: clarification and typo
  20. Kevin, first, sorry to hear about your system crash As your IME targets were for gen1 WOI I haven't tested them in SF2 (don't have Gen1 on my drive nowadays) -I suppose there might be some targets with trees inside of them when using treemod; without it, using just tiles I don't see much troubles. HM works nicely, but causes some problems with near/far clipping, atleast I think it's caused by them, it's covered in the attached readme. Maybe I or someone with ins-and-outs of flightengine.ini will be able to fix the mentioned bug. As for airfields -I wasn't messing with retiling, as bases tileset has prefixAB.bmp tiles for them.
  21. Bloody Mess

    nice! Ultrapack or HSFX?
  22. Some shots with included (but optional, not forcing anyone to use them) treemod and heightmaps: Thirdwire's IsraelME
