  1. Eric are two seater 'A' models available? We had single and two seaters.
  2. Eric, I have a version of the Super Hornet who's file name is 'FA_18EWoX'. I swear these things fly more realistic than version 3.2 (BlkII). I flew back seat in the 'A' model and when you turned that thing it moved even with a load of mock weapons and fuel tanks. Granted it wasn't the 'E/F' model but I can't imagine the new birds being under powered and sluggish. Getting off the deck with after burner and a full load is a struggle for the 'BlkII' model. The WOX model's fuel tanks don't show just like what I originally saw with 'BlkII' model (same model it seems minus a few things). The 'Tanks480' folder that came with the 'BlkII' file is not compatible with the 'WoX' bird and the 'Tank482' folder that came in the 'WoX' file doesn't work. If you have any suggestions concerning why the tanks don't show up on the WOX model please let me know. The 'BlkII' model seems harder on framerates and it's handling is too heavy when loaded with weapons. Yes there's some degridation in performance with a load but not that much. Turning shouldn't loose as much speed as seen in the 'BlkII' version and the engines seem underpowered. I know logic suggests these birds should be sluggish with a load and that may be true to some extent but the 'BlkII' model over did it. Again I only flew in the 'A' model and the 'C' simulator but I thought I'd let you guys know from someone who's flew in a real F/A-18. For the record the virtual A/B/C/D models seem fine in SF2 NA.
  3. I wrote in the wrong jet above. VAQ-34 flew the F/A-18A's. VFA-94 currently flies the 'C' model. Thanks again.

  5. Flaps looks great. Where did you get those custom grunt sounds? Sounds like the guy is either dying in there or having an extreme joyous moment (the latter being a bit disturbing)...
  6. This may be a dumb question but after installing the add-on Super Hornets in SF2: NA external fuel tanks are in the options for the the appropriate wing pylons. Thanks to the help here I've gotten the planes and all the weapons to installed but on the Super Hornets offered on this website external fuel tanks aren't listed. For the record the F/A-18 B/C/D models all have the options to add external fuel tanks but not the Super Hornets. Thanks for any advice you guys can give.
  7. On the ground before takeoff the forward flaps are extended as normal. After takeoff and in cruise the forward flaps are never fully retract like they should. I saw this reported in the file's download comments section but haven't seen a resolution. The leading edge flaps function properly otherwise it's just they don't fully go up in place flush with the wing like they should.
  8. Re-installed the weapons from 3.2 and they now show up on that model. Any reason why the leading edge flaps don't fully come up on the 3.2 model? If you don't know the answer I can start a new thread. Thx.

  10. Doesn't the tanks come with the add-on aircraft like all the other weapons do? I have every other weapon that came in the weapons folder from the download file.

  12. First thanks to all that helped me get my setup running. I now have extra F14's and F/A-18's fully functional in my install of SF2: NA. What I need to know now is are there single missions available that I can download. It's allot of work installing/setting up a new campaign just the same under single mission I'd like to add more missions. What I'm finding is after I installed the F/A-18 package when I go to use that aircraft and choose strike all I get is one mission that attacks a Ship. I'd like to have more options under the various categories (Strike, Reconnaissance, Combat Air Patrol, etc.). Is this possible and where do I download these missions for SF2: NA for a more robust F14 - F/A-18 combat experience? EDIT: I know some will say look in the downloads section but I'm not finding SF2: NA (Build July 2013) specific missions there (or maybe I'm not searching correctly).
  13. Can't seem to figure this out. First off I'm using SF2: North Atlantic. I created a MOD secondary setup from the original install. I now have the Top Gun music working in the menus and the 3rd party Mirage Factory F-14's (with effects working). Everything after this has been a disaster. I first tried to get the A-6 3rd party aircraft package to work with no joy. Reading the instructions it's asking for an A-6 LOD files that does not exist (from what I can find) in SF2: North Atlantic. I gave up because without what it's asking for it won't work. Next I installed successfully the great F/A-18E/F packages in SF2: NA but the effects don't work in the sim. This should not be rocket science just move the effects files into the effects folder like I did the F-14 effect files. The effects refuse to work in the sim for the F/A-18E/F. I'm at a lose as to what's wrong here. Last but not least I would love to get the 'Carrier Illumination' effects to work so I can see the carrier runway better at night when coming in for a landing. These effects won't work either. What am I doing wrong here. Thanks in advance for any help as this is very frustrating. It seems some instructions were written for another version of SF2 versus the newer SF2: NA.

  15. Looks like the appropriate weapons are listed in the F/A-18E/F's data.ini file yet they don't show up in the sim as options for me to add them to the plane's load. All I get for these aircraft are Sidewinder options. EDIT: Maybe a clue to this is when I look at 'Available Stores' once the F/A-18E/F is chosen only Sidewinders are offered. How do I change what's available for the F/A-18E/F? FA-18E_LOADOUT.INI shows that I should have the AIM-120C available to choose from.
  16. Awesome tip and it worked. My only issue now is how the fuselage smoke/mist effect looks (very lackluster and barely noticeable). Are there better options out there for this effect concerning the F/A-18 and how do I install them? Another thing I've noticed is this F/A-18 package only has Sidewinder Missiles, how do I get AMRAAM missiles installed and functioning on this model?
  17. Is it possible to get add-on aircraft to work in the campaigns? None of my add-on aircraft are showing up in campaign mod for me to choose then for a flight.
  18. I just bought the game a week ago, I'm using version 'Jul2013'. I got the carrier lights to work but the F/A-18 effects is still not showing up.
