Looks like one of the Blackstar concepts, but most of those used belly-drop configuration as after the D-21 accident piggyback was considered too dangerous. -

Keep in mind my model depicts the Model 201 CTOL derivative and would certainly benefit from losing the heavy lift engines and associated VTO equipment. -
...on Android Market as for now, but Iphone and Bada versions will be out within a week or two Here's a teaser trailer:

People too lazy to work do not usually have any decent standard of living anyway. Unless you want to try and convince me that the €200 I got to live on each month as unemployed after bills were paid = luxury living. So it evens itself out. If you want a decent living you got to work for it. Averaging 1-2 sickdays/week doesn't usually translate into good job opportunities. Personally I think it's better that these people get peanuts to live on from my tax money than giving them nothing and then having to foot the much bigger cost of housing them in prison after they commit crimes instead. What I'm really tired of (and I'm only 30) is having to lower my living standard because the fat cats who run the power grid around here aren't satisfied with their monopoly on electricity but feel the need to really press the pennies out of their customers as if they were a medieval sheriff. I'm also tired of being told my vote matters when all I can vote on is neo-liberal bankers who do not give a s**t about ordinary people. I'm also tired of being told everything gets so much better if we just privatize a little more so some fat cat can profit on lowering my standard of living. I'm also tired of capitalist media who gleefully brainwash the youth with black gangsta culture just for the sake of turning a profit. Furthermore I'm also tired of the fact noone builds apartments people can afford anymore with the result that the housing shortage forces prices up into the millions so that we have no choice but go to the banks and indebt ourselves just to get somewhere to live. Thankfully I'm one of the lucky ones who has a job that I love.

Not seeing it, really. You should experiment with putting some colored oil leaks and stuff in it. Maybe leading edge miscolorations due to heat. -

Maybe they should've made sure there are actual jobs available so people do not have to go unemployed. I hear unemployment is only due to laziness and nothing else.

New style of Aviation... possibly
Julhelm replied to Slartibartfast's topic in Military and General Aviation
It probably stands a better chance of doing so than the Moller Skycar which props up in media from time to time. -

I first heard of Cartercopter sometime in early 90's. IIRC the big selling point was to be much faster speeds than normal autogyros. -

I'd go with F-105 pit for F-108, personally. -

Nuclear Weapons
Julhelm replied to GunnySonics's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
The A-5 has a selection of nuclear stores ranging from 30kt to 2mt. I always use 2mt just to be sure. -
Lexx's Nuclear Weapon Effects
Julhelm replied to Spillone104's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
You will need to add the necessary effect to each weapon's data.ini as well. IE change "nukeexlosioneffects" to "mt003effects" in case you haven't done so. -

Patch December 2010-C is out!
Julhelm replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
You're missing the point. The point is that his target audience is the same audience who buy Jet Thunder or Storm of War, and that audience isn't content with environment visuals that have little evolved past EAW which came out in 1998. -
Patch December 2010-C is out!
Julhelm replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
The physics are generally separate from the renderer, though. And the point is that making a terrain engine that is up to date does not need cost millions. It can be done on a shoestring budget and the asset creation itself need not be too time consuming. After all, we're talking very simple building objects and vegetation. If one looks at what Stary and Jan Tuma, to name a few, have been able to do in their spare time with the current, admittedly obsolete, terrain engine, the whole "we don't have the budget for that, it'll cost millions" argument comes crashing down. The thing is, if TK had made the effort to have those kinds of contemporary environment visuals, he would've run into the same bugs and fixed them. But he doesn't care about that. It's his vision of fun or bust. Unfortunately he isn't his consumer base. -
Patch December 2010-C is out!
Julhelm replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Well I can certainly share that sentiment. If the F-14 game doesn't bring anything substantially new, I do not believe his core audience will stick around. Not with the other games slated to come out in 2011 that all offer modability with contemporary visuals. -

Of course, asset creation is what usually makes up most of the project budget, but again that stuff can be outsourced to freelancers or to studios in SEA. Granted, the Iphone game we are making atm is projected at about €300k but that figure includes salaries for 12 people, marketing contracts with PR firms, and lots of things like that, none of which appear to make up any sizeable chunk of TK's budget. I do believe he's found a comfortable place where he can turn out new games without really having to evolve techwise, but that strategy doesn't work forever.
